Yep! My brother uses the 20w solar panel for the same thing on his RV trailer...nothing sux more than a dead winch battery. What is also really cool, many people can find (or have) old 50w or 100w solar panels...just hook one up with this Allto charger and be done! If not, new solar panel prices are stoopid-low right now.
I just use one of those cheap $7 PWM charge controllers and glue gun where the wires come out after they were installed. It stabilizes, insulates and prevents shorts. Not as sturdy and nice as that small inline MPPT, but CHEAP. I wonder if that is a real MPPT and if it will do high 38-40 VOC panels. I also have that exact Renogy 50watt 12 volt panel. It's a great panel. But it is quite a bit more than a trickle panel. You can charge up a totally flat battery probably pretty quickly and it is small enough to travel with you pretty easily. I was afraid I went overkill, but I can also charge all my 5 volt things in case of a power outage. (Got the high watt usb-c outlet for this, too.). A real trickle only needs to be something like 1.5 watts. I had a 1.5 watt panel many years ago: it freaking worked so well for battery maintenance! If you want to trickle without charge controller, however, you need lower VOC (volts open circuit) voltage, more like 14.4 VOC. You can still get small panels that claim old school low VOC off Aliexpress. All the 20VOC stuff and just higher watts period, you want a charge controller.
Man that would work great for my car trailer with my winch battery.

Yeh, some of those cheap PWM units will do just fine. I have two on my backyard solar generator -- been in use 24/7 for 4+ years.
I saw that on Amazon and was wondering about it.
Solid buy. Accurate current reading and proper charging (no surprises)
