Thanks buddy appriciate it! My local river is pretty much the only river I've ever fished since I started fishing when I was a kid. So I try to treat every fish I catch like a pet... Unless it's a roach being used as bait haha
A bit of oil on that reel 😜 great video mate I don't know how you do it catching so many pike are canals in Ireland are striped of pike your only getting little one's a pound or 2 but few and far between anyway keep the videos coming I love them cheers ginger fishing man

Check out a group omn facebook called Alberta fishing addicts AND Alberta fishing buddies. You will see our 3 most popular species, Walleye, Perch and Northern Pike. Some people in our province call Pike "Jackfish" or "Jack" I would love to have someone from another country come and fish for a few days here in Canada. Im sure my girlfriend and I could ready the guest room.

Hi, I recently subscribed to your channel and I'm loving the videos, I'm also lucky to have a canal and two rivers on my doorstep, I'm generally a carp fisherman, but I do enjoy a challenge trying to catch different species, what would be a good setup for a beginner in predator fishing, cheers

I wouldn't know what he's using. But with toothy fish it's pretty common to use leaders. I usually use fluorocarbon (50lb test) for trout and steel (30lb test) for pike.

I used to fish in the River Lea and some of those pike were really well fed.

Have you ever tried eating Pike , there is a way to fillet them and lose the Y bones and get four fillets . Beautiful fish to eat.
