- Just felt like doing this again. Easier to watch because it's not split into pieces and funnier because Hom + Hyper = LOL.
Some small mistakes in terms of style, but whatever.
I got this game when i was 14, i'm 33 now and i still can't beat this last level in Quest Mode....Man i have a lot of good memories with this game!!!!!
Same age as you Bro, got the game for the FF7 demo, didn't think I would like the actual game.

I got this game in 1997 , i was 10 years old , and it was very difficult for me to finish this quest mode , in 27 April 2019 at 4:40 in the morning and after 22 years , i see finally the end of the game .
Hom has the most flavour out of any character in this series! You wield him with STYLE.
Hom was my favorite character of the entire Tobal series (with his weird, robotic self 😁)
After 17 years, I now know those were storage jars. My life was a lie up til now.
I'm right there with you... So many lost hours and unnecessary deaths if only I'd realized those were storage jars. I still loved the game.
Loved it when you get a hyper potion and just kick the shit out of their shins. This game needed to be more popular than it was.

As a kid back then in for some reason found this mode creepy
an extremely good fighting game with a fighting engine that worked beautifully. Crisp collision detection, and the throwing system was quite ahead of it's time in inception.
Beating this is probably still my biggest gaming accomplishment

The frog and that goddamn DDT used to piss me off. I remembered on one of my uncoordinated days, it did it like 3 times, I was livid.

i remember playing this when i was young and that i could never beat quest mode, i now know how close i got by watching this vid, i,ve been to that last rabbit guy a couple times but he always beat me. this vid brought back some great memories for me
I recall often ragequitting as a child because of the claustrophobic and repetitive corridors.
I just spent the past three days trying to find the title of this game. Boy am I glad you have video of it.

Toriyama is a Genius for making and drawing Dr. Slump Dragonball & Dragonball Z making video games and writing them even Tobal No. 1 he created all the characters in this game.
For years, I've been trying to access a very hard to reach segment in Udan's Dungeon. B27F. In this video, at 1:07:03, you can see a platform to the left of the screen on the bridge between opponents. On the platform, there seems to be a skull. I've never been able to reach the skull; and, most times, I can't get either to even appear. Have any of you reached the skull on this floor before?

I remember when I was a little boy I played Olimes in Quest Mode in Tobal No.1 when I got home after school so many memories of my life playing this when I lived in Hyattsville, Maryland in the '90's.
I love the way you can see Fei's style coming out in Hom's moveset, considering that was his master.

Fucking years I've been trying to find this game I'm played it when I was 8 I'm 27 now
on Thanks Givings I brought this game to my cousins house to play it after its been such a long time that ive played it. took me 4 tries to make it to floor30 and beat it. we had a great time playing it and what great memories it was.
another thing about Tobal no1 is that it was my very 1st game that I got for my PS1 back in 1996
its crazy to think in about 2 years Tobla no1 is going to turn 20years old. it will always be a great game.

How do you do the forward kick flip with Hom? I don't see the move in any movelists, nor can I get him to do it. It's done against the penpen at 52:54

Was that a mokujin at the very beginning? I remember watching a trailer for this on a ps1 interactive cd as a kid. Never played the actual game tho. Watching gameplay now I get serious tekken vibes from this. Does anyone know if there is any relation?..there has to be the resemblance is crazy.

You can use him in this game and in the sequel, Tobal 2. Although in that game he's known as "Trix." There's even a Super Trix too.
I love this game and ost, i wish i had a way to extract the quest mode song.. i just like it. Sadly its not on the soundtrack so i have to come to videos like this to hear it.
