Brendon and Melissa used their real first names in this show (Brendon using his real last name). The two are actually married in real life. Brendon went on to create Metalocalypse and is the front man for DethKlok ( also a real band). Melissa went on to create Bob's burgers. This is why the humor and dialogue style are nearly the same.
Most of this is blatantly untrue. Brendon and Melissa were never married and Melissa did not create Bobs Burgers. Loren Bouchard created Bobs Burgers and was the co-creator of Home Movies. That is why the humor is similar.@@Sitslikeinu
How did I not know Jon Benjamin was also the voice of Jason?! All these years I thought he was just Mcguirk. He uses his normal voice basically for all his main characters, Mcguirk, Archer, Bob... I didn't realize he did other voices.
3:26 This scene reminds me of all the times I've seen people have a situation turn the tables on them because of dumb people. One moment they're trying to frustratingly explain themselves, then some guy tells his sob story and gets the whole group's sympathy.
