I would keep that dresser. My dad used one for his tools and cut the drawers into sections for screws, nails, washers. He also used part of it for his bee supplies as we kept bees for the garden. Happy birthday Kenji. Our dog is also already 13 and is slowing down, but every once in a while we get a glimpse that a puppy still is inside that older arthritic dog.

He is getting frail and losing weight. Time is precious and way too short! I am so happy that Kenji enjoyed his special day! Oh....The new closet and Gabby are looking good! 😃

I may have mentioned a few months ago that you guys should invest in a greenhouse. Even a small greenhouse can get you ahead of the weather by a month or two. It's definitely something to look into for another big project.

Love seeing the "father/son" effort on Gaby. One of my fondest memories is my Grandfather and I building an addition onto the boathouse. I learned so much from him and I'm thankful for all the time he put into educating me. Every time I do a building project, I can feel his presence and it always brings a smile to my face. Kenji celebration is awesome sauce, he’s really is about 91 years old. He’s made it way more than most dogs and people. So yes definitely a beautiful process to celebrate his life with the family. Hello you two! I grow in the same growing region. Here is a trick for planting, Look at the full moon. Most of the time if a freeze comes up it's within 48 hours after the full moon. I don't plant anything that is very sensitive to frost... A good example is cucumbers.This year, since the full moon is June 4th (very late it's the latest of the cycle), I won't plant before June 7th. They won't get stunted by cold because of an early planting. Next year, the full moon is May 23rd and the planting will be complated end of May. However, many plants will weather a cold spell at end of May. By experience I would plant from mid-may onwards: peas, radishes, beets. You'll want to seed them straight into the ground rather than transplant them. Leafy vegetables like kale, Swiss chard, endive, asparagus and arugula are ok to plant as transplants very early. Everything else gets planted after the full moon. It will be optimum conditions and the growing will be fast and constant. You probably know this but a confirmation is always good! Good Luck!

For the area that your unsure of how about making an enclosed breezeway. It could be the dropping point for all of the shoes, jackets and the such. It reminds me of my grand father's breezeway, sure brought back wonderful memories

For the area that your unsure of how about making an enclosed breezeway. It could be the dropping point for all of the shoes, jackets and the such. It reminds me of my grand father's breezeway, sure brought back wonderful memories
