I actually use it as a way to control my emotions. If i can't handle getting stressed at a video game. Then, i need to try harder on myself. I used to get angry and stressed in t7 but now i focus on not letting the game control me.
I mean this as respectfully as I can, every fighting game has 50/50’s every fighting game has mashers, at the end of the day regardless of your mechanics if you CANNOT beat a “masher” over and over again he is better than you, you are not the better player as the player you responsible for that, you can’t cop out and say “omg he doesn’t know how to do x y and z” but when it comes down to it, he doesn’t need to do it because he’s beating you just fine, there’s nothing wrong with 50/50’s there’s nothing inherently wrong with heat or aggressive gameplay there’s something wrong with the tekken community clinging onto this idea that they’re better player than someone but lost to someone who isn’t “mechanical as them” myself I can wave dash back dash and I have good mechanics I’m almost at emperor right now if I lose to someone who can’t do those things am I really gonna say he’s a worse player than me because he isn’t a good as me in those areas? No? T8 is a new game, different systems, different people who can use them well, yes some of it is scrubby but if someone is using their aggressive forward gameplay skill to beat you and you cannot win regardless of what you may think they’re better, people complain about defense this and defense that, saying it isn’t real tekken it is very entitled to think that, tekken players always want a solution to a problem if a person uses their heat to push their aggressive play you should eat a 50/50 they used a resource that they don’t have anymore you also have the same resource as well, this game is in literally 4 months if it’s life half the player base if not all don’t even know what’s fully optimal yet and how to truly play tekken 8 but unfortunately t7 looms over it heavy and people yearn for something that shouldn’t be
I go days without playing. it's just so aggravating because it feels like I'm playing Tekken and my opponent is playing Naruto Ultimate Storm. In T7, it's easy to take responsibility for your losses and promptly learn from them. In T8, when you lose it feels like you just guessed wrong. Nothing learned or gained playing against certain characters.
@@cursedcrow1033don't expect that to happen, they've made it aggressive on purpose so "just block and launch if you know it's coming" - that's their stupid attitude
Tekken 8 is definitely tiring. It rewards weak and overagressive players, while good players who have good fundamentals are often punished for things they would have been rewarded for in previous games. Last night, I lost to a Leroy because I foolishly thought that I could punish his +5 low into Hermit. Not only trying to punish that low was the wrong decision, it's also the decision that cost me 50% of my health. There are way too many unbreakable throws, guard breaks, safe lows and plus-on-block mids in this game. Everything feels inflammatory. I find myself more often being stressed than having fun with this game.
so you aren't the better player cuz you punish that low with a grab cuz he is in hermit, and leroy is rarely used character and you got knowledge checked which been part of tekken for ever! the way people say it it seems like all the top 8 is full mashy newbies with no fundamental and all the pro players from previous game is getting clapped
@@dat1faclesdude @dat1faclesdude Congratulations for ignoring my entire argument. I've never said I was the better or worse player, I've said that this game punishes you for doing things you would have been rewarded for in previous games. I've been playing this game for over a decade, punishing a low is so deep in my muscle memory that I kept trying to punish it even though, consciously, I knew I shouldn't. Also, knowledge checks don't change the fact that Tekken 8 rewards agressive play way more than knowledge, so your point doesn't stand. Victor is the prime example of that.
✅✅✅✅✅✅ It's true bro. T8 is hella stressful when you're on the defense, compared to previous tekkens. Blocking for ages, getting your health bar chipped while blocking for ages, then eventually guessing wrong on your opponents 50 50 mix up and losing all your health. Even if you look at tournament players facial expressions in t8 compared to t7. Tourny players have NEVER looked this stressed in any previous tekkens!!! Watch a t7 tourny, then watch a t8 tourny and you will see they look HELLA more stressed. (I love t8, just pointing out the difference.)
@blueeyeswhitekarin3267 Play on defense and post it your channel so I can see it. Because unless you're at high level or pro level play, then I can't trust your statement.
@@BURNINGKAM101 Clearly you falling into the “have poor defense” category or the “not confident in your defense” one of you don’t understand what I mean. You certainly don’t need to be a pro to have adequate defense. Defense can still win games in T8 it does for me all the time, it just won’t carry you like in T7 because now you need offense as well since being overly defensive and fish for counter hit won’t land you half heath combo as often in T8 like it did in T7
@@blueeyeswhitekarin3267 Watch the Knee v Arslan match from the recent Combo Breaker Top 8 and you tell me how far defense gets you against pressure and aggression. Try telling a proven high level player that they fall under "poor/unconfident defense". Then compare it to the Arslan v AK grand final where both of em were playing real intensely the whole time "defense be damned" and it got real difficult to tell who was winning. This game clearly doesn't have "adequate defense" in mind even at pro level. Defense isn't just about blocking and fishing for counter hits, evasion and whiff punishing is also just as important, and this game does nothing to help any of these aspects. Chip damage punishes for blocking even the safest moves especially in heat, KBD was nerfed so badly for many characters that you can't stop aggressive players from being constantly in your face as running forward is still faster and easier, and sidestepping is still pretty decent but tracking/homing moves are everywhere now too (unintended tracking issues I can kinda forgive). If you think your defense is actually carrying you in matches, it's almost certainly because your opponent wasn't putting enough aggression on you.
@@FinnDarius Running forward is always be faster than going backwards lol your mindset is clearly biased between overly defensive play. In T7 pro players would gain a health lead though pokes then go on the defensive the entire round because 1. The clock is on their side 2. they can just wait for the opponent to make a mistake and counter hit with a magic 4, whiff punish through constant kbd, or simply side step. Homing moves be everywhere as in easy access with multiple options, you should be stepping only when you know their current string or read that their next move will be steppable not because you just randomly do it and it’s most likely going to work because 90% of characters’ moveset is steppable. You should only be on the defensive because you opponent is on the offensive. T7 literally had 2 players on the defensive at the SAME-TIME because attacking was too risky. Defense should be a secondary good option for you not primary. Lastly of course pro level defense can crumble to pro level offense it happens in every fighting game. Defense is a mean to defend your while trying to get back onto the offensive
I saw someone on reddit saying "then make defense exciting" and posted a link with the daigo parry. You can't argue with that. Defense is what makes the game interactive. Offense can require skill, but nowhere near. Im glad more people are slowly catching on, t8 is mechanically easier and more simple at times which is ok, but add all this overwhelming pressure that litteraly anyone can throw at you like they are hwoarang and we got a problem. I know it's not gonna go away, and i said it too many times already, but heat is the problem, such mechanic doesn't belong in a tekken game imo
Turtling, whiff punishing, counter hitting and playing defensively is boring? It sounds pretty fun to me.. Now what's boring is EVERY CHARACTER having a frame-trap into generic 50/50 mixup.
You need to understand him... He is a Yoshimitsu player addicted to a 11 frame counter launcher. A privilege that the 90 percent of characters don't have. So... obviously defense is completely unnecessary
Honestly I feel the exact opposite. I play ranked for like an hour or two, and then I need a quick break only because my body gets really hot playing. And then I'm excited to jump back in and do some labbing on the matchups I struggled with in that session. And I learn so much each time. Slowly every matchup becomes easier and easier. I also think people stare at their rank too much. If you're playing for rank, you're playing for the wrong reasons. I believe people are getting Fatigue from Tekken 8 because they got bored of labbing. Tekken 8 is not Tekken 7, your Tekken 7 knowledge will only get you so far. And unfortunately you need to do your homework in this game to keep improving and having fun. Otherwise, you're just banging your head against the wall for hours telling yourself "There's nothing I could have done there", "This character is so broken", etc.
Felt the same but after I got to understand how everything works even if I'm not too good at it, it becomes hollow because of little to no changes to my playstyle whenever I try a character I always think where's my +frames and 50/50's then just practice a staple combo and I'm already efficient with the character as long as I'm in the offense
Oh guys… i played Tekken 7 today and i can say this… it felt fking amazing to block … I got dopamine for just stand there and block and eventually read / react to low . No way near as much panic buttons as in Tekken 8. As a Lee player , defense is my best friend so pls Harada. Reduce the chip damage. Heat burst should not be a panic button. And those armor moves… make them all highs and atleast -10f so you have to think when you press robbing buttons. Those are my ideas for future. Like i dont care about nerfs anymore because i can handle those top tiers somehow BUT i cant handle if i get killed for blocking and when its my turn * BOOM * enemy heat burst and forces me to block more and guess what ? These some characters get even stronger 50/50 now. And you lose. Gg thx bye
IMO I just get bored of Tekken 8 extremely quickly. I haven't played in awhile now, which is a shame. I just realized that I can't remember a single match from Tekken 8 but I have tons of epic matches I can remember during the first 5 months of Tekken 7 when it was released. Every single character playing rushdown just gets fucking old. There's not really any mind games going on now either as both players are just trying to mash in an opening and sidestepping just doesn't work consistently even when you know a string is steppable. Right now this game just seems like way more luck, less depth and for me it is a major disappointment.
Exactly this. Feels like its 99% aggressive and 1% defensive hopefully the next patch fixes it. There have been times when i sidestepped and they whiffed but i still got hit. For me every interaction is like a 50/50 to point where everything is a guessing game. On top of that the fast pace is fun to watch but Tekken was always about originality and it seems everyone plays the same characters the same way.
I'm not surprised when you have 2D full screen, homing, +7 on block forcing mix ups heat smashes, guard breaks for guaranteed i10/i12 free wallsplat moves or follow ups that are guaranteed on the ground for enormous damage. It's all on purpose, don't be deceived. They want it that way so fundamentals don't matter. I bet that green rank Murray dude is watching streams online and is laughing his ass off.
Problem with playing multiple fighting games you get burnout in one start spending a lot of time in the one you like go back to the rest you’re rusty, muscle memory all screwed up relearn everything again Combo routes etc. then rinse and repeat all over again from the beginning of this comment. It’s a vicious cycle of getting the rust off one fighting game then after that getting the rust off the one you been spending time on to get rust off the one you used to play. Currently going through this with MK11, MK1, Tekken 8.
I’m not surprised about the fatigue. The lack of balance updates/updates in general, heat smash, lackluster battle pass, reselling old dlc characters…. Yea who would’ve thought lol
Lack of balance updates? We've already had 2 or 3 and the game's only been out for 4 months. We've even been promised another one this month (June)! You think they can just rebalance the entire game weakly to address every entitled bastard's complaint?
@@Shade84 Umm… compared to all other games that has monthly game updates???? Yea I expect it very much. Especially from the biggest fighting game franchise there is. These “updates” that they’re rolling out should’ve been the norm already. Quotations around updates because can we REALLY call them updates? There’s no reason why the leading hashtag at EVO was “#FixYourGameHarada.
There's a point in every Tekken 8 session where I just decide i'm tired of being stuck in block and guessing to not die all the time. I get the want from Bandai to make the game more presentable for big tournaments but it probably shouldn't come at the expense of the things players enjoyed about the game.
SMH, they just want to turtle like in Tekken 7 with KBD. THAT is the reason Tekken 8 was made like this. My grip is with certain characters who completely break the flow of combat with parries (now able to parry MID ATTACKS, power crushing, heat smashing, YOSHIMITSU’s FLASH ATTACK, a barely punishable brain dead Alisa player, etc. This game is exhausting but it could have been the best Tekken on IF they take away the comeback mechanics. Players should be FORCED to learn the game or DROP IT. The new try hard panic moves with heat smash are ruining the game. If you don’t know how to duck, low parry, block punish etc. you shouldn’t play Tekken but unfortunately they made these tools just for you. As if high level players wouldn’t spam this garbage.
Yes because the game is a slot machine of guessing right and wrong and having to deal with players using one note cheesy flowcharts to win. It gets stale and tedious fast.
Tekkan has always been an extremely fast and dense game compared to other figthing games due to the inmmense ammount of variables that every single situation can have. Like, every character has atleast 100 moves, each move on itself gives a sea of possibilities and having hundreds of them means that it's just impossible to be compleatly in control of the outcome of every sitiuation. That's been a tekken thing since the beginning, and it was also the reason why tekken was a defensive game, the goal has always been to find a playstyle that allowed you to control as much as possible of the situation at all times while sticking your neck is little as possible and wait to find only the best interactions possible. The thing that tekken 8 does is the exact same, but greatly multiplied the ammount of "best interactions possible" by making it really easier to force an overwhealming position that is super hard to deal with. By itself, this concept is not a bad idea, something really fun and exiting could be the result of this style. The problem is that the ammount of options that everyone has that result in an overwhealming position is just too much as it is rigth now. The result of this is that you have to be SUPER sharp and active to survive in this game, which makes every match super exciting and adrenaline inducing, but also frustrating because its just too much to handle, hence the burnout. It's cool to play a couple matches like this, but it's just not healty to put such a strain on your brain for too long. The ammount of concentration this game demands is super high, higher than any other game ever, hence, its easy to get tired fast. This game is good, is not objectively bad by any means. Actually i think that Tekken 8 has the potential to be one of the best Tekken games ever. But as it is rigth now, is just too much. it becomes not enjoyable too fast.
Yeah sadly I’m on that same train, I just play about 1 hr or 2 max then I switch the game. All feels the same, going up and down points. They should do like Mk1 ranked, special costumes for each higher rank.
That's the best way I've seen it put, thank you. I'm an old fan of Tekken, and I couldn't really catagorize exactly why T8 wasn't clicking like the past games. But as someone who doesn't enjoy the "rushdown" style of play in ANY fighting game, the way you put it here makes it make sense for me. Thank you.
Its just the rage gets very tedious, sometimes i see it every round for three matches in a row, sometimes up to 15 times in a row from a single opponent.
They really need to do a number on the defensive options in the upcoming update. I think another thing that needs to be added are not scaling low parrys so your combo does less damge if you read it right abd low parry you should get good damage from it. Defensive play just needs a a huge buff and chip damage needs to be reduced. If they want to the aggressive gameplay that high then defensive gameplay needs to match it.
I personally think street fighter 6 is dumber and more linear than t8 but because sf doesn’t have the same legacy fandom that tekken a because Capcom has changed it so much with the years no one cares and tekken is heading the same way were Bandai will twisted and make it scrubbier to the point that dumb mix ups and button mashing will be the norm instead of tekken 5 style of movement and spacing type of game.
You brought out some really good points. Tekken 8, while fun and competitive, can be really stressful and brushes upon the idea that "whoever overwhelms the other wins." For me, I usually try to balance out playing Tekken 8 and other games and hobbies. Don't get me wrong; for me, Tekken 8 is hella fun and competitive to play, but there was one point where I played Tekken 8 for a longer period than I could handle while playing as Yoshimitsu on Ranked Matches. My attacks weren't connecting and my brain was fried. Eventually, I burned out and screwed up royally, which in turn costed me my Fujin rank at the time. After that burnout, I realized I needed to go do something else. Several weeks later, I returned feeling refreshed. I realized that just had to play Tekken for shorter periods of time-at least one or two hours. So far, I was able to balance out my playtime on Tekken 8 and gain a Bushin rank with Yoshimitsu! My advice is as follows... 1.) Know your limits. 2.) Stay hydrated and drink lots of water. 3.) Take a look at some examples of other players who might play the same fighter as you, learn some new strategies, and add them to your own. 4.) Have a snack like chips, fruits, or sushi rolls. 5.) Duke it out in Quick Matches in the lounge if you don't feel you're ready to advance your rank yet. 6.) Sometimes it's best to just take a break after achieving a new rank or just in general.
I think you meant to say that about SF6. That is not what the Tekken devs are doing. The game is 5 months old and we already have 4 updates and a fifth one is comming soon.
@@emilianovalle95 Most update were bug fixes lol with only one meaningful balance patch thus far. Street fighter 6 made meaningful changes and handle bug much quicker actually. Please check your facts lol this is coming from someone who plays TEKKEN 8 daily the lies about 4 updates won’t slide by me.
@@blueeyeswhitekarin3267 Tekken 8 first patch came like 2 weeks after the release, bug fixes mostly and minor changes like the first Dragunov nerf, DJ nerfs and Jun nerfs, all patches have been like that. The second one with even more bug fixes and more Jun nerfs, the third one when eddy came out and messed up the wall combos and Zafina back dash, the emergency patch that fixed the wall combo situation and then the latest one with big balance changes. 4 updates have happened, not all big, but 4 updates are 4 updates (We could even say that there where 5 if we count the hot fix to address the messed up wall combo situation, but I don't count that one it was too small) and we have a second big one already announced. I don't know why you think that bug fixes don't count as updates, but that's a you thing I guess. I've also been playing this game since launch, don't think you are the only one. I was only saying that the one big patch per season is not the model that the devs are following like the SF devs publicly announced. They didn't change the balancing in any meaningful way until the season 2 patch just as they said, meanwhile, the latest patch already killed two top tiers after only 4 months, and the next patch is expected to shake things up regarding the whole rhythm of the game. Those are big things to change. Also, could you imagine if the devs didn't apply those first patches? Dragunov cd3 would still have no push back, and jun's wall combo would still exist...
I thought it was just me. I played ranked a couple weeks ago i played a minor Jin match and i had to fight for my life by the time i won by my next match i was tired 😫

People don't like change, and can't accept that you can't necessarily be good at Tekken 8 playing it exactly the same as Tekken 7. I'm sure their tune will change in another few months, though, as more of the game starts to open up.
I noticed it as well and I don’t mind the extra controlled stress as I feel it’s making my mental tolerance stronger. Just make sure you all take care of yourselves with breaks, proper rest, diet and exercise. You all will be ok 👌🏾
Keep in mind, teklen 7 matches took so long to laod in between that youre tripling the amount of matches in a session by the end of it now because loading times are that much better. If anyones getting fatigue, youd be surprised how well a quick little COD break or something will help that mindset. Go walk the dog ir something. Play some pokemon idk
@@bioswat96 no, ill "defend" this game all I want, because it's still a great game. You cant be sitting here acting like triple the amount of matches in this game as opposed to eh last has nothing to do with this "fatigue" people are feeling. It's quite literally a factor. Did I say it was the ONLY factor? NO. So sit tf down
Honestly 2 hours is the absolute max I can play at a time in this game. In every session the more I play the worse I perform so I don't even do warmups like I used to in T7. It's also difficult to learn matchups effectively since long sets aren't a thing anymore. I hope they unlock infinite rematches for quick matches.
Ive always been a rushdown player so i dont mind tekken 8's style of gameplay. I do get burnt out after a few hours compared to 7 but its nice my skills from other rushdown based fighting games apply here now. Ive always been playing rushdown and grapplers in every fighting game. I love mixups and cross ups. When you rushdown and pressure your opponent they have less time to think and get flustered and can make mistakes. At the same time tho i did like how tekken used to be more methodical than my other fighting games i play like guilty gear and mahvel. We gotta adapt with the times 🤷♂️
Yea I don’t usually get fatigue on games that much it just depends on if I feel like playing or not. But in t8 I’m constantly getting tired of playing and I’m losing matches because of it when I know I’m better but I just can’t play right. (Ranked down from tekken king all the way to rajin) idk if that’s what ppl mean when they say fatigue but that’s what I feel when I play this game
Wish they'd fix the net code. Half of my matches boil down to spaghetti due to connection, I wanna lose because I got outplayed not because I got clipped by a move I completely sidestepped
I stopped playing altogether as someone who has played every game. Defense becoming offense isn’t fun. And being punished for blocking is insane. Also the majority of the games came to an end without the clock. It’s just that running the clock can make it longer. But the majority of players are not getting a hit and back dashing away until the round ends. This game is just exhausting.
What i despise the most is the lack of unlimited matches. Or at least ft 10 or at the very least 5. Just when I find an interesting opponent and I'm starting to learn their character, style or/and having fun in a stage with its corresponding gimmicks I'm now again in the lobby searching for a new adventure and most of the times getting paired with an unga bunga Victor or Lars, evasive Xiaoyu or Zafina and ofc a broken op Feng. And on top of that in the most boring stages ever imagined; Colosseum or Yakushima 😅
You do have to be active more often than not. Basically by the last match you have to put together everything that worked on them. I personally don't like that I put 0 effort into defense. I'm just trying to attack and give them 0 chance to retaliate
I play Tekken 7 the same way I play Tekken 8. I play five matches and then play something else as I have so many games that need completing and not enough hours in the night to do it in. As this is the time I do my gaming.
I love this move aggressive approach. It’s far more fun but the heat system needs to be nerf. Not fair to have plus frames on burst, pinning the opponent then plus frames again on block when going into heat smash which isn’t punishable then another plus frame after smash is over over with a move that like Dragunov’s b1+2. Too much waiting for ur turn.
You mentioned that this game is more up close and aggressive. Doesn't that remind me of Tekken 4 because that game also had an aggressive element? I may completely lose the point here, but the thought just crossed my mind.
It's funny how some people have this absurd level of sunk cost fallacy and just keeps ignoring how we keep having these fanbase large conversations about how Tekken 8 is fundamentally flawed and a lot less fun than older Tekkens, and they come right out of the wood works to claim that "you just aint good/skill issue" or "you're an oldhead that hasnt adapted" as if the top players in the FGC aren't saying the exact same things as everybody else. Like bro, the game has been out for like, what, half a year now? People have adapted to it by now and the game's just not fun, sorry to pour the bucket of ice water on your head if you think otherwise, but the reality is that the game sucks compared to previous Tekkens within the same time frame and people are getting fed up with it. No amount of cope that everyone but you is conveniently bad at the game is changing reality.
I don't like how our final move isn't allowed to play out. Like grabs and heat smashes. I think it messes with our attention span. They need to make the shortening of k.o. screens optional. Nothing burns me out more, then constantly being matched with cheaters. Also little to no rewards in this game. Unless you're paying. Customization needs a buff. And it needs to be free. Bring back free cleavage showing outfits. Stop with the no skin-allowed-winter clothes.
It all depends on how hard yinz love fighting games i guess. I could sit there and play for 6-8 hours straight without getting bored. Now, because of life i cant do that obviously lol it is important to take rest and breaks. With sometimes days in between booting it up again. I wouldnt call it draining...we just gotta make the adjustments to T8 rushdown philosophies.
It is hard to find good players. What i mean by "good" is people who actually want a fight and not just a cheap win. Seems like everyone is rushing to spam a 10 hit into a wall then back away and wait to do it again. No effort or skill needed for those.
Defense.. Defense update... U have heat engage that bypasses a read. Heat burst that does the same thing. Its not a chess match or knowledge check anymore. Like all the Armor moves isnt a thing also now. Same thing.
Im curious to the next big patch to shake things up. I just think unga bunga style is just a lil boring. I like t8 but idk it feels less satisfying to win sometimes
It'd crazy because tekken was always heading in this direction, every tekken got more aggressive than the last with the exception of tekken 4 to tekken 5 Also get rid of heat.... like damn XD
I 100% tekken 8 I burnt out of playing ranked because I feel the only reason I play it is for the title and being better IG.Then they added battle pass it was short and had little to nothing interesting in it only thing I liked about it so far was that you could definitely complete it because the daily and weekly were very giving. I’d like more reward or reason to play besides just some title saying good at the game.
I feel like it the forced 50/50 and being forced to deal with stuff, having your almost guaranteed win stolen because Heat tracks.Grab Tracks Rage arts aren't defeatable other than blocking and launch punishing. Right now, Tekken Doesn't feel like Tekken. It feels like who ever smashes first wins and even if you are in advantage. There is no other playstyles. Don't even get me started with the amount of stupid stuff that is allowed to go through
I just cant play as much as I played in T7 because after a while the game just become quiet boring... if you got minus then you pretty much have to guess... in T7 if you get a +.. for the most part you only need to guess 1 time before going back to neutral...
I would suggest taking brakes, or playing any other game, if even for 10 min or even a couple of days. Come back and have fun in some player matches, and you'll probably be better than you were.
@@simonjeremy1776 compared to the others yes I am speaking for everyone even the pros themselves think this is the worst game but maybe when the defensive update comes in maybe things will change maybe
Must be running out of video ideas. Every fighting game’s player base goes through fatigue or the honeymoon phase dies down, this is really a topic worth making a video about as a lot of people I know still play the game daily and think the game is extremely fun so of course there people who feel the opposite. If you feel fatigue playing TEKKEN that just means you either need a break or should try playing something else it doesn’t mean there’s something wrong with the game
i don't agree with that you could just saying gaming causes early burnont or maybe said individuall needs to touch grass just saying take this with a grain of salt but i feel like tekken 8 doesn't really cause anything that is up to the individual
Tekken 8 is so boring at this point to be honest. Remove Alisa/Feng, nerf heat smashes and make them universal so all characters works the same. The fact each character has their own range, frame start up, low/mid, different punishes is fucking wild. You expect me to keep track of every single one while keeping track of their regular bullshit? Why does some floor break and some wall splats? Atleast nerf the damage of those, Lars heat is fucking insane even without the floor break. Nerf running attacks and buff side stepping. Remove floor break buffering between rounds and if you start on second floor, make it so you don't break it on the first hit. Wall splats need a big overhaul, like some attacks trigger the wall splat when they are not even touching the wall, especially on those explosion splats that throws people into the air. Oh and lastly, fix ranking points. The system is a joke when tekken god ranks earn 400 points for beating flame rulers and the flame ruler loses 400 points. I get ranking is a meme, but atleast make it some what consistent.
Tekken 5DR was the best because that game rewarded you for movement and spacing. Tekken 8 it’s just Boring. I main Steve and I only used he’s db1+2 which on hit it gives me a guarantee 1+2. I win just like that. Nothing is worth it anymore.
This is literally the second video I've watched of yours within the span of a couple of hours. The last one was talking about rank inflation/deflation. You do realise that these two videos have literally answered your question. When the game first released all the people that were really good at T7 shot to the top because of their skills in T7. Now after a few months when people actually realise the matter, when people are adjusting and playing in a more aggressive style. Anybody there is left with a T7 mindset like the main man like me as much as I love him. They are being left behind by all the people that are adjusting. And that's why all school heads who think they are good at the game suddenly see themselves dropping. Literally because they're not adjusting. Anyway, as all good philosophers it is very late at night and I am very drunk so I am not spellcheck in this. If you can't understand it then that's probably on me but also, I'm sure it's not that indecipherable.
Tekken 8 is not Tekken 7, and it's never going to be exactly like Tekken 7. This is more directed at the people whose comments include "back in Tekken 7 I..." As mentioned in this video, the devs set out with a very particular vision, and they've successfully achieved it. If you don't like it, kick rocks and touch grass. Tekken 8 will have its ups and downs, but it's an amazingly fun game to both watch and play. Don't agree? Poor you.
Correction: Tekken 8 is not Tekken, period. It's a fighting game that is laser focused on generating instant dopamine/gratification, by oversimplifying the gameplay even more than 7. One button ex moves, chip damage, safer rage arts, power crush heat engagers. It's literally designed specifically for people who hate Tekken. How is Tekken 8 fun to watch at all, when you have a mechanic that instantly turns the game into a 50/50 guessing simulator? 90% of matches in this game compared to 7 look & play the goddamn same! Namco wanted a vision of making Tekken accessible, but they executed it very poorly with this dry husk of a game.
You've described the fighting game genre in a nutshell; a game that is laser focused on generating instant dopamine/gratification. Oversimplifying the game more than 7? Using the same argument I could argue 7 "is not Tekken, period" if it too was simplified compared to past installments. Why does it get to be the benchmark? You say 90% of matches look the same, but that exact complaint regarding 7 is what caused the change. They were simply "the same" in a different way than 8 is. 8 is also in its infancy; the meta ever-changing. Y'all plateau on month 4 and that's just it?
I don't know what fighting games you've been playing, but it's not much when you say "that's all fighting games". T7 since season 3 is a flawed mess, but T8 is just that but 50x worse in every regard. And yeah I know, the game just came out. Doesn't make it invincible to any form of criticism, especially when a few recent patches that literally made the game worse overtime. I should not have to wait a year or two for a $70 game to get good, but gamers allowed it a long time ago so it's whatever on that front.
It’s stressful when your obviously the better player but still might lose due to finally missing a 50/50
I actually use it as a way to control my emotions. If i can't handle getting stressed at a video game. Then, i need to try harder on myself. I used to get angry and stressed in t7 but now i focus on not letting the game control me.
That’s literally every fighting game… gosh TEKKEN player are so clueless when it comes to fighting games logic

Preaching the truth
The game drains and frustrates the same way modern Call of Duty does. Not a good thing
Nothing beats madden
I go days without playing. it's just so aggravating because it feels like I'm playing Tekken and my opponent is playing Naruto Ultimate Storm. In T7, it's easy to take responsibility for your losses and promptly learn from them. In T8, when you lose it feels like you just guessed wrong. Nothing learned or gained playing against certain characters.
Defensive techniques must be buffed
That is happening in the next patch.
This and reduce the forced 50/50 Situations cuz its way to much
Next update guys. Next update.
The amount of frame disrespect is legendary
Seems like making thing overly aggressive doesn’t make the game fun for players.
so you aren't the better player cuz you punish that low with a grab cuz he is in hermit, and leroy is rarely used character and you got knowledge checked which been part of tekken for ever! the way people say it it seems like all the top 8 is full mashy newbies with no fundamental and all the pro players from previous game is getting clapped
Yup and dont forget the wall blasts where you lose 80% life for no reason at all
@@dat1faclesdude @dat1faclesdude Congratulations for ignoring my entire argument.
The stress part is definitely your imagination. Defense is only stressful in TEKKEN 8 if your not confident or just have below average defense
@blueeyeswhitekarin3267 Play on defense and post it your channel so I can see it. Because unless you're at high level or pro level play, then I can't trust your statement.
@@BURNINGKAM101
Clearly you falling into the “have poor defense” category or the “not confident in your defense” one of you don’t understand what I mean.
@@FinnDarius
Running forward is always be faster than going backwards lol your mindset is clearly biased between overly defensive play.
I know it's not gonna go away, and i said it too many times already, but heat is the problem, such mechanic doesn't belong in a tekken game imo
this is so true, i burn out after a few quick matches even
Turtling, whiff punishing, counter hitting and playing defensively is boring?
Agree 100% I just FT3 and if I win 2 out of 3 then I’ll do two more and then take a break and lab. I main Steve so I’m learning a lot
Felt the same but after I got to understand how everything works even if I'm not too good at it, it becomes hollow because of little to no changes to my playstyle whenever I try a character I always think where's my +frames and 50/50's then just practice a staple combo and I'm already efficient with the character as long as I'm in the offense
That’s normal you shouldn’t be playing 1 game for 6 hours tf two hours is good enough switch it up rotate through genres
Let’s lock every player into constant back to back inescapable 50/50’s every round that’ll be fun.
Tekken 8 is like fast food
Bad for your health? Probably, with how T8 is stressing so many people out.
A lot of people just feel this with 8. The mechanics are literally just linear oppressive offense.

You don't keep ppl engaged with skins, mate. It's a fighting game, not bloody Fortnite...
Yes and no, i never went hard enough in tekken 7 so im extremely determined to learn and improve in t8 even if its more unga bunga than ever before
That's the best way I've seen it put, thank you.
Stop playing it.
I like the chip damage. But the defense is a little. Some characters lost their identity... The Heat Burst is like the X-Ray in MK.
updates once a season is an outdated concept that frustrates the player base. at the very least we need monthly or mid season updates
I think you meant to say that about SF6. That is not what the Tekken devs are doing. The game is 5 months old and we already have 4 updates and a fifth one is comming soon.

I remember a tweet from King Jae say something about being unable to play from 3 to 5 hours of Tekken 8
You do have to be active more often than not. Basically by the last match you have to put together everything that worked on them. I personally don't like that I put 0 effort into defense. I'm just trying to attack and give them 0 chance to retaliate
It doesn’t hurt to take a break of Tekken. For the sake of you. 💪🏾
Damn Man U on the ball with the vids lately
It because of the prowess-based match-making. Every match is a sweat-fest. That being said, 3-5 hours is more than enough time for a game.
Defense.. Defense update...
U have heat engage that bypasses a read. Heat burst that does the same thing. Its not a chess match or knowledge check anymore. Like all the Armor moves isnt a thing also now. Same thing.
I have yet to feel burnt out, and I lose a ton. Huh. Guess some vibe with games more than others🤷♂️
I have yet to experience Fatigue
Im curious to the next big patch to shake things up. I just think unga bunga style is just a lil boring. I like t8 but idk it feels less satisfying to win sometimes
Thankfully they're buffing defense in the next patch this month which I think will be a good thing.
It'd crazy because tekken was always heading in this direction, every tekken got more aggressive than the last with the exception of tekken 4 to tekken 5
Also get rid of heat.... like damn XD
This game is going to take its whole lifecycle to get the game where’s they wanted to.
Don't even get me started with the amount of stupid stuff that is allowed to go through
I had to stop playing for a couple weeks online. It’s mentally taxing.
We shouldn’t be playing any game more than a few hours at a time anyway. 😂
Yeah, I can speak for everyone when I say we all agree on
Tekken 8 being the
*most stressful game*
You don't speak for everyone
I’m sorry but I’m not disrespecting Victors wr 2 just to eat his 1+2.
Victor needs to be nerfed. My console freeze with all of the BS happening on screen
i don't agree with that you could just saying gaming causes early burnont or maybe said individuall needs to touch grass just saying take this with a grain of salt but i feel like tekken 8 doesn't really cause anything that is up to the individual
i felt that literally a month after the game came out. i
Or we're just getting old? XD
for real though, sometimes I play for hours with no end on one day, the next I'm beat after 2 hours in
Next update guys. Next update.
Also watching tekken 8 for me is incredibly boring. I feel like I watching Two bomb rush each other. Very uninspiring for me personally.
Tekken 8 just isn’t that good now the honeymoon phase is definitely over.
I agree 100%
If you can't understand it then that's probably on me but also, I'm sure it's not that indecipherable.
t8 is def like that yk? like i do stream the game for an hour maybe 2.5 hours top
Skill issues :(= =)
Tekken 8 is not Tekken 7, and it's never going to be exactly like Tekken 7. This is more directed at the people whose comments include "back in Tekken 7 I..."
As mentioned in this video, the devs set out with a very particular vision, and they've successfully achieved it. If you don't like it, kick rocks and touch grass.
Tekken 8 will have its ups and downs, but it's an amazingly fun game to both watch and play. Don't agree? Poor you.
Another Bamco npc
@@Guborez Another bandwagoning doomer.
Nah tekken 8 in bad from him box to frame data
Wow getting tired after playing a fast paced game for 3-5 hours? Thats insane
This guy said I think tekken 8 is amazing yeah right bruh this game is not good at all 🤣🤣 and bad people get away with so much stuff in this game
I work so much so I can’t play as much so still fresh for me
