Ron reminds me of a little bit of Fabio and big part of Sam Eliott. Greatest respect for Ron and the knowledge that he gives to the power he loves. Forever MOPAR.. PEACE CAM.
Read very closely. You think you know your Mopars huh. Try it's a 1968 Road Runner Not a 1969. Look up the rear tail lights & grill. There's a big big difference in 1968 & 1969 Road Runner, Satellite style Dumb ASS
Awesome rebuild on the Road Runner loved the blue solid paint job and the wheels really sets the build back to the day of factory birth. Really a beautiful job. SEMPER FIDELIS
This was a 1968 and that sold it as a 1969. Fenders, rear quarters, tail lights, doors were all 1968. Cute that they put a 1969 front Grille in though.
I’ve got a numbers matching 69’ 383 hard top 4spd Road Runner in Rallye Green. She is my baby... but I’d sure love a 440. You always want more than you have 🤣
I have a 440 Six Pack. With a Pistol Grip 4 Speed. And a Dana Rear end. & a 1969 Road Runner 426 Hemi with a Pistol Grib 4 speed and Dana Rear End. I'm selling both. Both have less then 98,000 miles. Selling both for $18,000.00. Will Ship anywhere in the USA FOR FREE
I had a '70 Roadrunner.....wish I'd never sold it. This car is for a rich primadonna who doesn't even change his own oil. I've been maintaining, building, modifying and racing for 70 years. With a 440 and 3 dueces, I found that it was better on the street than the 426 Hemi Hemis are wonderful race engines but difficult to tune for the street with original carbs/linkage. I used to tune multiple carb engines on Ford, Mopar, Chevy, Jaguar, etd.....all the carbs American and Webers, Del Ortos, SU's , you name it. Yup, I'd love to have the RR but would go to well-managed fuel injection system...as long as we're obviously not doing original here.
I just dont get the PAINT IT BEFORE ITS READY. Grinding and welding on a fresh paint job. Never mock anything up before paint. Well I guess thats why they have to redo stuff. I wont do a rush job at my shop.
Yeah, I'm one of those "hardcore" Mopar fans. I've had a couple of old Dodges and Plymouths over the last 55 years or so. We routinely beat supposedly fast Camaros and Mustangs. That '69 Charger was a nice car and I like this Roadrunner. I liked the '68 Satellite with the 426. That was a fast car. I would like to own a GTX.
@@jayjohnson4843 pardon? *Edit: I see someone else commented the same thing word for word. No need to get heated. As for not knowing how to paint, you're kinda right. I'm just a teenager and it was my first paint job. There's always room for improvement. Take care my friend!
His Daytona or if he calls it a super bird is not a true one. Its a damn clone. Not even what you say it is. I know because I've got both superbird and a Daytona in my garage
I wish that "Wrecks to Riches" was still in production. Every car build is a learning experience without the reality show production stunts that get in the way on so many reality car shows on Motor Trend and Discovery.
Over Haulin Was Tbe Best. This comes down to 99 in my books. Over Haulin never had the Bull Shit Drama this Show Had. No one Blamed anyone if parts were hard to find. Chip would just make the parts if need to.
mam362 lol - if you watch all these shows carefully, they don't follow build chronology. It's all just pieced together to make a good reality show! They are fun to watch, though!
I always liked these cars because only they remained super powerful beautiful high quality cars and legendary and when I see a legend I put likes in spite of Madeleine and the year of release
Back then, the law required a mirror on the driver side only.. Passenger side mirrors were a factory option. Meaning back then, at the dealership when you ordered t your car, if you didnt check the box that said 'passenger mirror' when your car showed up, it wouldnt have one..
rs is a gtx rp is a sport sattelite which is the water downed gtx. rh was a sattelite and a rm is a road runner and the sattelite is the water downed road runner. 21 was a coupe or post or sedan and 23 was the hard top and 27 was a rag top.
I can’t believe they cheaped out on the paint. Lots of parts weren’t properly painted on the inside, like the fenders and the doors, but then they want at least 65 large ones for that?! Ridiculous!
i know a wrecking yard that makes this place suck all mopar early 70 to early 60 all in good shape they have all the mopars thet got about 5 gtx a bunch of the 383 cuda even the 64 with the stripe on one side over the top i got a 71 340 duster running and driving with no rust for 600 bucks with a clean body i could not walk a way from it at that price and they are one right after another and they had a 68 rt charger 440 for sell running and driving out front of yard for 2500 with a good body no rust i just did not have that much money to spend yet it is open to the public but know one knows about it it is way out in the woods and they don't advertise i learned about from my friend that lives by it
I wonder why shows like this always refer to Dodges as "Dodges"....but when it's a PLYMOUTH. they NEVER use the "Plymouth" name ...only Mopar...like the "Plymouth" name is a bad word, or something....(even though they're BOTH Mopars, the DODGE name seems to get more respect...especially when there was once a time that PLYMOUTH OUTSOLD DODGE each and EVERY year !!!)

GEEZ!... She's a Really Beautiful Machine. The Right Parts and the Right People. Thanks for Sharing
69 Hemi Roadrunner is my favorite car of all time . So beautiful well done , great job fellows
I would have went as high as 100 grand if I had to , to get that Roadrunner .
I would have bought that first Road Runner. That Orange Road Runner
Look Dumb ASS. FOR ONE. LOOK AT THE GRILL. LOOK AT THE REAR TAIL LIGHTS. IT IS NOT A 1969. IT IS A PLANE JANE FACTORY 1968 PLYMOUTH SATELLITE ONLY.

The engine was a nice addition to this machine 👌

He doesn’t make a lot Of money but he brings cool cars back to life that’s awesome.
Ron seems like a really clever passionate guy. Enjoy seeing him in these few episodes
He is and he still pops up on the show Grave Yard Cars which focus on the restoration of classic MOPAR muscle!
He is and he's been on many other shows. He most recently was on the show Graveyard Car's and installed one his trick suspensions on a car.
This car came out beautiful nice job guys 👌
Nothing beats the buyer's first few reaction to the roadrunner

They should give Ron his own show, most knowledgeable guy in the series.
i seen Ron on grave yard cars few times to..
Ron has his own shop
Ron is also a ripoff and doesnt stand behind his products.
No he is not.
Its a fucking episode script he reads. Its a TV Show. Nothing more, he does not know shit about cars

Prove that statement. I've goggled it. There is no such person. He's as with this TV show. All bull shit fakes

Once the new trunk floor was welded in, I would have coated the whole floor with POR 15 to make sure it didn't rerust again.

Ronis definitely the premiere Mopar guy n has one badass Daytona

More muscle than a Hollywood gym!!! Haha epic

Shouldve kept the aluminum slots!
I've got a 1973 vega with no interior no motor and actually no body panels.i need it next week.how much!
Why no passenger side mirror? Skimping on parts? LOL!!!!!!
+Robert Walters why the fuck do you need side mirrors on a 700hp car ?
+Marto Rambo Up until like 10 or so years ago. A passenger door mirror was an option...

Another blue SMC? The previous 2 blue SMC's did sell.

tribute to Ron Jenkins
Omg imagine having a daughter and she looks like you. I’d cry if my daughter looked like me
It's not a 69, but a 68 body with 69 grille. It's not a big thin; unless you're talking to a Mopar fanatic. I could be in that class
And for a 69 car those are damned sure 68 tail lights.
Luckily they sold the car to a know nothing rich guy, with more money than brains.
I sold my 69 Road Runner 440 ci, 4 speed, original for 5000.00 back i the day. Nobody wanted them.
I would buy that car in a heartbeat.
Pretty car

It’s not a Satellite in this episode the satellite one converted to a fake GTX lol 😂
Yea, but you’re still in the hole when you add the man hours!
His Road Runner is NOT A 1969, IT IS A 1968 . LOOK UP THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TWO YEARS OF TAIL LIGHTS AND FRONT GRILL.
rode racer was 383..... GTX was 440
Cant be both
I didn't see the bird 😂
The earliest I put in a bid is 9th day!
Move over plymouth approaching rapidly
it's a 68 sport sattelite not a rr a sport sattelite was a water downed gtx
It has a hemi, a restomod and it's also a Barry White SMC creation. You say "watered down", I say that's really a stupid thing to say.
Motor is worth more then entire car.
hurry hurry hurry, drama drama drama.right in there with boyds garage.
The taillights say it’s a 68, not a 69 .
They said 1969, but have 1968 rear tail lights
Ohh yea, and you forgot the woodpecker smoking a cigar sticker on the sides of the car... lol
Absolutely gorgeous ride ruined again by the ghetto rims.
Do a 60 or 61 starliner.

The rear tail lights are Not a 1969. They are a 1968 rear tail lights. So it's not a 1969 Road Runner. It's a 1968 clone
