Thank you!! This is great. I've just bought four packets of marigolds to attack the nematodes in my vege patch. They're not Tagetes because the garden centre didn't have them but I will try these none the less.

If you feed the *Soil Food Web* in your garden, it really helps to create competition for the nematodes. Chitin in worm castings when combined with Crab Shell and a little kelp can really make a difference in the quality of your garden. For small gardens, Neptunes Harvest has small quantities of crab shell (4-lb bag) and kelp products which are also sold on Amazon with discount shipping... Last summer, my bean & pepper yield was amazing in a new garden that was previously grass by using the products mentioned above in addition to adding organic material to hard clay soil.

I have used the shrimp shells you mention, and also in the past, marigolds, and even beneficial nematodes-Sf. I still have not been able to get rid of them. Any other suggestions?

+CARL COOK Nematodes are very difficult to control and plants from the mustard family help as well if used as green manure. *Worm Castings* has made a huge difference in my garden. These products make the soil irritating for the tiny worms and plants thrive in the improved soil conditions. Remember, lots of organic material also helps the beneficial nematodes and microbes to dominate your garden.

There is no organic solution to root knot nematodes. Been trying for 10 years. Only way to fight it is grow in cool weather when they are less active, and plant less susceptible plants and varieties. Sorry

Organics? Absolutely. But there is an even better way: apply and mix in to your soil about 1 part to 3 parts worm castings. That is, 1 part worm castings to your 2/3 soil. Bye, bye nematodes.
