As we traveled through Cat Ba Island looking for what to do on Cat Ba, everyone kept asking: "Have you gone on a Lan Ha Bay cruise yet?" We had never heard of a Lan Ha Bay cruise and we did our research when looking for the best things to do in Cat Ba island. Everyone kept telling us: "It's so much better than Ha Long Bay! You have to do a Lan Ha Bay cruise!" We weren't sold until our friend told us that he wished he would have done a Lan Ha Bay tour because Ha Long Bay was overpopulated and polluted. When you are looking for what to do in Cat Ba Island, a Lan Ha Bay cruise is a must! It is hands down one of the best things to do in Cat Ba Island.

About Us!
If you had told me a year ago that we were going to sell all of our stuff to start backpacking the world, I would have called you a liar. Decisions like the one we made start with an inflection point. A point where you realize that life can never be the same anymore. After a challenging, and painful year in 2017, we decided we needed to go out and live the life we wanted to live, instead of watching it on someone else’s TH-cam Channel. We had given everything we had, physically and emotionally, for other’s dreams and were ready to work that hard for ourselves. From rock bottom, Chase for Adventure was born.
The Chase Begins
We moved in with our parents, sold everything we own including our cars, and paid off $70,000 worth of debt. We worked 70hrs/week over the last year trying to save up $15,000 to make our dreams come true. Now, we are travel journalists who showcase the beauty in different cultures and inspire others to chase their dreams through our TH-cam Channel and website Chase for Adventure. We want to show others that if they want something bad enough, they’ll figure out how to get it; show people who are struggling that they can make the light at the end of their tunnel. Chase for Adventure is more than just a travel vlog and blog; it’s the chronicles of what it’s like to have a dream and do whatever it takes to attain it.

For me, lan ha bay and catba island are better than halong bay (cheaper, more beautiful). After this trip, you should comeback haiphong city and taste some delicious food here and walking downtown

Okay, so 1. I’ve heard that they do but we only did the day tour so I wouldn’t know who to reconnect. 2. They didn’t really have a beach to stay on but they did have a lot of waterfront hotels. 3. It’s a journey from the airport. It’s a drive, a ferry, and then a drive to all of the places to stay.

So I think the name is called the Captain Jack Lan Ha Bay Tour but I am not entirely sure. We booked the tickets at a hut across from the Manh Vuong hotel. It is the only structure on the other side of the street so you can't miss it!

But next time I strongly recommend you visit Bai Tu Long Bay instead of visiting the center of Halong Bay - where thousand boats sailing everyday. Bai Tu Long Bay is so much more quiet and beautiful than the center of Halong Bay, while it’s still belonged to the UNESCO Heritage site. Hope to have a chance to host your stay in Halong Bay next time ;)
