This is one of Angelina's originals. It was written for her specifically by Russian Composer Nico Cartosio and released 4/17/19 so AJ was barely 13 when released. He recorded an album of just instrumentals, titled "Melting", except for the last song which he wanted sung by Angelina. It is an absolutely beautiful song and performed brilliantly by an 8th grader!!

Jennifer, wasn't that spectacular!?!? People like Nico Cartosio and Alan Walker who are prominent people in the music business specifically chose 10 year old Angelina to play important roles singing in each of their productions. They immediately knew this was not some kid who sang good at 10 years old. They recognized her unbelievable talent and knew she was someone very special and that she had a uniqueness that was absolutely stunning and had to be showcased. To me, what's so fantastic in this production is Angelina's pronunciation of every word. When you listen to her you hang on every word, every line. And, then the finale. Are you kidding me!? Those violins could have kept playing for another hour. Song For A, very different of course. But, you'll find most people have this in their playlists. It's a keeper.

I've watched one or two of the music videos to the other (instrumental) tracks on the album. I wouldnt have believed it possible that an instrumental track could be so emotional intense. Almost unbearable. So Angie's performance really is the perfect "relieving" conclusion for the album.

The song is original and written for Angelina Jordan by the neo romantic classical and film composer Nico Cartosio. The Lyrics are a 17th Century Poem by the Scottish Poet Rabbie Burns. Rigs is the 17th century Scottish spelling in the poem by Rabbie Burns, that the lyrics of the song comes from, the modern spelling is Riggs but the pronunciation of it is the Scottish ridges, so Angelina got it 100% correct. She is very intelligent and always researches what she does. It refers to the way land was made into rows of the ridge and furrow method of farming since medieval times and right up to100 years ago when industrialisation and combined harvesters wiped the ridges furrows out, have a look at fields as shown in Van Gough's paintings of fields in particular Wheat Field with Crows. Archaeologists use the way fields were farmed as a dating method. Lammas by the way is rooted in an ancient pagan festival marking one of the four quarters the year was divided into; the four quarter days were adopted into the Christian Calendar as: Candlemas, on the 2nd of February; Whitsunday, on the 15th of May; Lammas, on the 1st of August; and Martinmas, on the 11th of November. They are/were used as part of the judicial year and in contract and employment law. As well as ecclesiastical and academic calendars. To a Scotsman of that period Lamas was an important religious festival and holiday when people would party much like Carnival in the modern era. And the poem is about some ones first love and a night spent in a field with them, that in their later life approaching death is their most cherished memory. Hence why it made you cry. The poet, the musicians, the composer and the singer were all putting that emotional story into their performance and as intended you felt it. :)

People like Nico Cartosio and Alan Walker who are prominent people in the music business specifically chose 10 year old Angelina to play important roles singing in each of their productions. They immediately knew this was not some kid who sang good at 10 years old. They recognized her unbelievable talent and knew she was someone very special and that she had a uniqueness that was absolutely stunning and had to be showcased.
To me, what's so fantastic in this production is Angelina's pronunciation of every word. When you listen to her you hang on every word, every line. And, then the finale. Are you kidding me!? Those violins could have kept playing for another hour.
Song For A, very different of course. But, you'll find most people have this in their playlists. It's a keeper.
I, too- LOVED the Violin solo! Of course, AJ was spot on and made this song perfect. I'm not surprised they created it just for her!

The composer Nico Cartosio album “Melting” has 8 arrangements that takes the listener through many stages of the human soul from depression to coldness to destruction then hope and freedom. The music is very dark however the last track represent the hope, love, and freedom at the end. Nico Cartosio wanted a vocalist to present his last track and he chose Angelina to deliver it. It’s the only piece of music on the album that is accompanied by a vocalist. The result is a masterpiece.

I've watched one or two of the music videos to the other (instrumental) tracks on the album. I wouldnt have believed it possible that an instrumental track could be so emotional intense. Almost unbearable. So Angie's performance really is the perfect "relieving" conclusion for the album.

The song is original and written for Angelina Jordan by the neo romantic classical and film composer Nico Cartosio. The Lyrics are a 17th Century Poem by the Scottish Poet Rabbie Burns.
Rigs is the 17th century Scottish spelling in the poem by Rabbie Burns, that the lyrics of the song comes from, the modern spelling is Riggs but the pronunciation of it is the Scottish ridges, so Angelina got it 100% correct. She is very intelligent and always researches what she does. It refers to the way land was made into rows of the ridge and furrow method of farming since medieval times and right up to100 years ago when industrialisation and combined harvesters wiped the ridges furrows out, have a look at fields as shown in Van Gough's paintings of fields in particular Wheat Field with Crows. Archaeologists use the way fields were farmed as a dating method.
Lammas by the way is rooted in an ancient pagan festival marking one of the four quarters the year was divided into; the four quarter days were adopted into the Christian Calendar as: Candlemas, on the 2nd of February; Whitsunday, on the 15th of May; Lammas, on the 1st of August; and Martinmas, on the 11th of November. They are/were used as part of the judicial year and in contract and employment law. As well as ecclesiastical and academic calendars.
To a Scotsman of that period Lamas was an important religious festival and holiday when people would party much like Carnival in the modern era. And the poem is about some ones first love and a night spent in a field with them, that in their later life approaching death is their most cherished memory. Hence why it made you cry. The poet, the musicians, the composer and the singer were all putting that emotional story into their performance and as intended you felt it. :)
