Curious - is carb cleaner strong enough to erode the float bowl gasket? im waiting on a replacement but after doing a deep clean, with the gasket still in, the carb bowl leaked once i put it all back together.
Yes, carb cleaner can be strong enough to erode the float bowl gasket. It's recommended to remove all gaskets before using carb cleaner to prevent damage. Since you've already cleaned it with the gasket in place, that might be why the carb bowl is leaking. Hopefully, the replacement gasket will solve the issue!
