This is why I love the Royal Family. Though they are a hip-hop crew they are not afraid to explore and dabble in a number of dance styles that don't fall under the hip-hop umbrella and to me the mark of a great dancer is their ability to not only adapt to a variety of dance forms but do it well and RF do it so damn well. Kudos to Parris, RF and all those involved in the creative process of this show. CROWNS UP x
As a Caribbean girl its so refreshing to hear and see Dancehall music and some moves incorporated into these routines , the Caribbean flavor always makes it better , I love it ,The royal family is the best
absolutely love this. great concept and great storytelling. it's like a person of the "civilized" world going into a rural/tribal area and basically the transition from fear of the unknown to embracing a culture.
[ 1:58 - 3:44 ] Major Lazer - Come On To Me (ft. Sean Paul) [ 3:48 - 4:43 ] Rylic - Sweat It [ 4:44 - 6:59 ] Charly Black & J Capri - Whine & Kotch [ 7:01 - 11:29 ] Gina Martin & Latin Xpress - Chango
This performance was utterly amazing!! This is what the "Art" of dance is suppose to be! I'm surprised that this video doesn't have more views! The story is well thought out and I was mesmerized by how fluid each scene went into the next. This performance truly told a story and the choreography is pure genius! Again, kudos!!
Even tho this video is 5 yo this year I still come back to it and I still think that its one of the best choreographed pieces I’ve seen. Masterpiece CROWNS UP
All Girls and guys have the ability to dance, sum are natural (more likely from to having to much sex,, but kids growing up listen to music to move to the groove) but others practice in swimming pools to move with water (sexual movements not intentionally but it just happens) or other find their ways of dance, like I do not believe white people can not dance but I am not white either, but give a person a fighting chance on things, you will be amazed. ;)
OMG Parris, this was absolutely mesmerizing. You are one of the best choreographers in the business and hats off to the RF dance crew who are bloody flawless. It is such a joy to watch. Best, Amy E. Hollywood
I love the movements. As an African lady,i was a little worried how you would pull off the last bit of the dance. You guys are phenomenal. Hats off. Wonderful performance. You nailed it.The carribean bit was also amazing. Good job Paris

And I was staring right at it! lol I know it's not much of a big deal lol but for some reason I was worried that someone was gonna do something obvious like bend over and pick it up or even attempt to kick it out of the way or worse injure themselves! But nope they handled it pretty flush ;) well played.....
O My Universe! I felt like I have just sat and watched the most amazing Broadway Show Ever along with sold out seats! Paris Goebel You Are My Hero. You all are simple Amazingly Delicious May you continue to Reign 💋

Okay so I've been a fan of Request Crew since ABDC. I've followed Parris Goebel and the Royal Family's footsteps via their artistic creations/content and collaborations via social media since 2011. I can't believe that I'm just now discovering this video. As a young women of color, my admiration for the level of creative ability and agility showcased throughout the numerous projects by Parris and her cohorts has definitely grown over the years and especially after viewing this piece. Parris, you may not realize, but the artwork, song selection and creative visualization that goes into your projects inevitably celebrates African, Caribbean, and black culture. You and your team have continuously showcased the beauty of culture through artistic expression and it only continues to become enhanced as time goes on. Thank you for what you do!!! -FAN since ABDC
Okay so as someone who likes to analyze things sometimes, as I did with this dance. At first I thought she stumbled on a tribe and was going to be eaten, until she wasn’t? But then I had a better idea. I think it’s a very different spin on a nutcracker-like story. A young girl has some sort of dream, where she is with this tribe of some sort, she dances with them, becomes “one of them” to an extent, then she wakes from the dream. Okay if anyone made it this far thanks for reading my overly deep, very unnecessary interpretation of this dance.
LOVE it, Parris!! Whole show just BLEW us away!! Giverny Hing~ amazing performance!! Wish we could be at Skulls & Crowns.Goodluck at HHI (Worlds), Crowns Up!!
Man this whole preformance reminded me of stage challenge so much. Do schools even still do that? Well if they do, and if a school gots to work with Paris that would be amazing.
This is why I love the Royal Family. But nope they handled it pretty flush ;) well played.....
when did it fall?
+Jaida Hudgens at 8:11 is the rope on the floor and around 9:50 a dancer slyly drags it to the wings
they execute to remove the necklace nicely, not affecting the choreography
That girl was parris goebel the choreographer ❤️
Cessie Dior Parris didn't get the necklace off stage she went past it and went behind the drum it was someone else lol
I don't want the rest of this. I NEED THIS REST OF THIS. This is so brilliant!!!!
this will always be one of my favorite performances
Drawn in from the beginning, so whimsical and fascinating!

i can't believe how far Parris has come and just everyone, like I'm so effing proud i can't
Wow I've noticed all of there performances that I've seen have a strong African influence to it probably because of Paris being Pacific Islander
+DANZ LOWCO lol
lol
uh african and pacific islander are way different from each other, different cultures, not related...
Porsh Meh I know what you mean... Polynesians appreciate similar beats and rhythms ... a lot more than we appreciate a Caucasian one anyway lol
African and Pacific Islander are completely different lmao
Pearce sisters slay every time
The most amazing surprise and scene I have ever witnessed. I am so happy.
