    French armor camouflage is almost as difficult as Italian aircraft camouflage 😁

    It’s one of those tanks that a Tiger tank would run over and not realise it. A nice looking model and look forward to seeing it mounted on the diorama.

    Good video!! Have built this kit as well. This was a fun kit. Have tried building other manufacturers kits of this particular vehicle, but would always fail because of all the teeny-tiny parts. Tamiya made this kit easy & enjoyable to build. Also chose the 5-color camo scheme.

    Fun fact : This tank was used to clear minefields because of its thick armor on the bottom and it was used against IS-1 too and both of these examples are from the Romanian army

    I have done the trumpeter one, has a bit of interior detail, but this one looks far more detailed on the exterior. Really nice work done, i totally agree with you on the Vallejo paints, since I am only brush painting everything i use them extensively and they lay down perfectly. Figures like this one you can find also in master box kits. Awesome build my friend, quite an elaborate camo. Great job done. Thanks for sharing, keep up the good work.

    • @ModelNerd
      @ModelNerd  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks mate, I really appreciate your comments. I've never really looked much into Trumpeter kits (though I have a couple of their 1:35 rail models) - it seems they have a really wide range of less common vehicles that I should probably check out.

    Nice job on that complicated como! It would be interesting if u did a 1941 dio with a Stuka diving overhead. Maybe that’s something u could add to ur diorama. I don’t know? Keep it up!

    • @ModelNerd
      @ModelNerd  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks. I do want to do a Stuka at some point in the near future. Only problem with including one in a diorama with this kit is the scale. I don't think there are any Stukas in 1:35.

    Noice. How much was this kit? Going to pick it up. And some of either migs french set, aka french set, and or both. Next time a nice tip here, spray Just leveling thinner over the camo and it should level and help out the scheme. And you should have used more mud on the Inside of the track and wheels, its had matched up better, but still looks great

    • @ModelNerd

      Hi Rick. I can't remember exactly how much it was - around 25 USD I think.

    Any reason why they bothered with black line’s separating the colours?

    • @ModelNerd
      @ModelNerd  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm not sure. You'd think it would make it stand out more. I guess these were really the early days of camouflage and they were experimenting to a large extent.

    • @user-wf2lm3vi7o
      @user-wf2lm3vi7o 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Reading a book about “concealment for troops of the line”, camouflage was in 3; 1. mimicry- I imagine it’s the panzer “dappled” light camouflage 2. frank screening- make something look different- cover your tank in shrubs, tarps, early panzer had fake vision blocks, and 3. concealment by distraction- think British WW1 dazzle patterns... or zebras. Perhaps it fits the latter. Seeing that camouflage is a French term and they used artist, perhaps it is just that. We do see that camo style used in WW1, German helmets even. Still, seems time consuming, which in the book, did mention as a factor in choosing your camo!

    Do you realize that all of your playlists are backwards?

    • @ModelNerd
      @ModelNerd  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I did that on purpose - to me it makes more sense to have the most recent videos on top, don't you think? Also, if they are 'forwards' then it seems you only see the same four videos in the preview (the oldest four) so it is harder to see what has been added. Or does it cause more problems being backwards?

    • @michaposlada3840
      @michaposlada3840 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ModelNerd Seeing oldest to newest means you don't have to go back trough the videos and you can just leave autoplay to do the job especially if it's a series and not just a bunch of different videos, but i do kind of agree with you though.

    • @ModelNerd
      @ModelNerd  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Good point. That would be annoying watching a series backwards. I'll switch the order, at least for the series playlists. Thanks for pointing it out - much appreciated.
