Tom, the dungeon daddy seem to buff the attack of the enemies whenever you use an ability.
He was probably the source of most of the damage you took in the run due to your massive amount of rerolling.
I noticed that too. Had those mask guys up to 16, 17 damage per hit because of all the rerolls.
He even says it at the start and then proceeds to forget for the rest of the video...
Very reminiscent of Dicey Dungeons, definitely popping this one on my wishlist!

9:41 Wouldn't the Garlic be like a free use of the Seer ability each turn? Instead of filling a dice slot like the Seer, it just eliminates one at the start, but same end result of one less slot to fill. But for only two gold it's permanent. That seems like a good deal to me.
(I haven't played this so I could be wrong but) I think it actually meant that it would apply -1 to the counters where you just need to add to make a total hence it being called a "Total Slot", rather than removing the slot entirely.

It does say normal difficulty. Peglin is also pretty easy when you start, but you can keep cranking up the difficulty until it's impossible.
Still amazed how bad Tom is at these types of games
