Thank you, beautiful Archibald family, for showing so much care in your good work, and always helping someone ( that was for sure a good start for the young couple! 😊🙌🏻) And keep on rocking the dad jokes, Alex!! 😂😂

Alex and Melissa, you have made some good inroads into the house. I bet that couple were really excited about your gifts to them. Back in 1979 I bought a houseful of furniture for $100 because the owner was disabled and couldn’t move it. It was a Godsend for us at the time. The couch and chair were a hideous melon orange, but we used them for 4 years and can laugh about how ugly they were now. 😂❤
7:15 Elizabeth David reinvented cooking in England after WW2, writing many classic cook books, and had a shop in London. Very collectable, for making terrines/paté. My dad was given one of her kitchen spoons, a treasured item, though no physical provenance.
Great stereo! I had one almost the same. My daughter took it and painted it ,took out the turntable and radio and made it for storing extra blankets and stuff. I think it was mid 60’s from my grandparents house. It must be exciting and exhausting to go through everything. Thanks for sharing!
Did you notice in last video that Alex came across all the nylons, he wasn’t sure why they were collecting them. Lol. I knew they were for making those doll heads.
When I was about 22 years old - I lived next door to an elderly lady that gave me dishes and furniture for my first apartment . One of the items was an easy chair ( over-stuffed parlor chair ) that she told me was purchased when her and her husband got married right after WWII . This was around 1982 . Over the years , the chair got a lot of use and deteriorated . When it was all broken down - I took it to a restoration shop and they charged me $1200 to reupholster and restore with all new and modern materials . The frame was made from maple - very nice . This restoration was done about 10 years ago and the chair still looks new ! I still have it and use it quite often . Some of that old stuff is worth repair and saving .
