This time I'm supporting Sauron

Spoiler sauron sinks numenor and f's up the elves.....and sorcerer sauron was a spirit
😂😂😂wish there was two 👍 thumbs up

@@TheUndergroundxn so far in this series nothing of note happened
That 7 second clip of Sauron was better than the entire show
Lol, we appreciate it!
Best comment everrrr
This is literally the only scene that reminded me of the original trilogy
The Saron reveal was awesome also
Except her over emphasised man voice
Tolkien actually wrote in his last will to never sell his work to Disney. He would have included amazon if he could have known about this abomination
Holy shit I never knew that. Guy had some real forethought. Even having those other writings locked away by his estate was a bummer but genius
He tried everything to avoid this exact outcome. Yet here we are. @@ethanskelton9695
He couldn't have done that. Amazon was founded about 20 years after he died.

When Galadriel leapt from the Tardis, yelled "Death to Ming" and cut off Voldemort's head with her lightsaber, thus saving Narnia from the Cylons, I wept for joy.

"It began with the forging of the great films.
Threads were given by Tolkien, immortal,
wisest and fairest of all beings. Rights were
granted to Jackson, great miner and
craftsman of the mountain of lore. And nine,
nine hours were gifted to the race of Men
who, above all else, desire quality. But they
were all of them deceived, for another show
was made. In the land of Amazon, in the fires
of Mount Prime, the Dark Lord Bezos forged in
secret a master flop. And into this show he
poured his money, his greed and his will to
dominate all film. One show to ruin them all."

@Baldanders Yeah. You should probably stop watching it then..
This scene does look cool but the costume is nearly identical to the one from the original trilogy

Wawertarzato wrrwainunim.
The orcs didn't call him Sauron.
The elves called him Sauron. You'd think an elf would know that.
Yeah. Didn't the orcs call him gorthaur?
Pretty sure it wasn't the orcs. "Gorthaur the cruel" sounds dintincly like an Elvin name that sounds incredibly awesome and also describes them. I don't see the orcs calling him that even tho he ruled them by fear. I do know the orcs weren't allowed to call him Sauron. Only the mouth of Sauron could do that.
Once he announced himself, everyone knew him as Sauron, but he didn't allow his subjects to call him by name, so they usually call him "the Eye/Lidless Eye" and such. But they do know what he is called.

If you ask me, best scene was when she said "She's your baggage. You fall behind, and you're on your own."
For his orcs had gathered, to stop the patriarchy.
Ah yes, Morgoth the most feminist amongst the AinuRRh who rebelled against ErŔu IluvataŘ to erase mysoginy.
Stop it? There's 3 girl bosses leading the pathetic weak cowardly men of their regions. Both Dark Lords we're trying to enforce the patriarchy esp Sauron because he was all about efficiency and hated wasteful friction so naturally he would want a supreme system. Morgoth just wanted to destroy everything so that wouldn't be his motive. Instead he just liked to fuck with people before slaughting them and made the women despair because they're going to live under a better and safer society.

@@es-rh8oo as this is purely fanfic, i say yes they can
Tolkien said orcs bred "like flies", so yes.
Sauron lost his physical form when Gil Galad & Elendil slayed his physical body as well as when he first created the 1 ring. - full story: In book Isildur NEVER succumbs to the ring, he instead spends his time being a fair ruler who practically gave power away to the people INSTEAD of being power hungry. He comes to realize that he is not powerful enough to truly bend the ring to his will. That it will eventually overcome him. Isildur resolves to give the ring to Elrond but is killed on the way to Rivendel. It's a tragic story of a man that tries to right his wrong but ultimately fails.
In the books isildur literally repented and was about to bring the ring to Rivendell and apologize as he recognized it was beyond him even for a great numenorean connected to the faithful line of the mighty Elendil
I preface the prologue & war, other depictions I LOVE, captured the themes WELL, the vibe of the whole trilogy! The significance of the duel between Elendil & Sauron was Nerffed; (He wasn’t some random old bloke in armour getting smacked around) This man was MIGHTY and gleaming with power which you’ll find out in the great videos you’ll soon react to with joy!
* He and Gil-Galad; last true Elven King battled Sauron and slayed Sauron’s physical body and both died in the process. GilGalad was held high by the face for all free peoples to see as he then incinerated his bodily form to a crisp of ash! Isildur was part of the fight too but not as prominently and he just comes up to the body to cut the ring finger off and…. So one example is how easily Sauron is killed in the intro.
* • He's set up as this super powered badass, but all you have to do is cut off his finger? That's not how it went down in the book, where the greatest man-king and the greatest elven-king had to double-team Sauron to strike down his body, but were killed in the effort (Isildur then cuts the ring from the corpse).
Especially for elves the title of king has many meanings & by the Third Age there isn’t a population large enough to even attempt to such a thing as creating a unified kingdom, which would put a target on their backs, let alone many of them are beyond all of that anyway as it’s seen as doing more harm than anything good.
* They also seen what happened when the elves fell upon the swords of their own hubris and passion no matter if it was for the right reasons some of the time. That it always ended up in some sort of tragedy which sometimes even damaged the earth itself.
They had long known about what’s called the Long Defeat as ever since Morgoth’s marring of the land itself; pouring his remnants into it that caused the “magic” to slowly drain away from the land itself, which is sad because for ages several clans of elves were born there. even the greatest ancestors were “born” in middle earth awakening to the stars !
Many of who are left have accepted the next phase of their life which is to become councillors, healers and loremasters to those with the heart to listen and the desire to learn. But above all the guardians and custodians of several things and the world itself for as long as they can remain!❤ The elves “exist” as long as the world does. And Tolkien made it obvious in many ways that it’s our world as he restored Anglo Saxon culture/Mythologies and folklore, and their languages too alongside Irish, Welsh and Finnish mythologies too. Especially Norwegian(of which I am)
This is what Amazon (the show that shall not be named) didn’t deliver either [[AKA the actual story which inspired everything we love into existence with games and movies and books and so forth. Skyrim, elder scrolls, oblivion, Diablo, and world of Warcraft and D&D. And Game Of Thrones was hugely inspired by Tolkien… yet as the godfather of everything and the heart of what caused many peoples lives to be saved cannot get the justice it deserves for adaptations?
People literally conquered cancer because of the books and the trilogy, the books were read to their children for years. All 25 of them. The man was a hugely respected scholar and professor in the world. Translated ancient artifacts and hieroglyphs and petroglyphs and so forth for the government etc.
(JRR Tolkien even rejected being recruited into the CIA several times & he wrote everyone by letter and referenced the dudes who came to him as “little boys who knew not what they got themselves into” which showed his fearlessness.). The readers of the trilogy that came out are who he writes back to despite always replying to everyone back and forth.
Many people have shared the stories regarding these conversations which were past down throughout the family lines of the people who had a personal relationship with Tolkien which was hundreds of people when he was alive. Thousands. (Some are in video format too or happened to be shared later on in the video or comes up during a video about him and his work.
Especially nowadays when many of us came out of the woodwork to defend professor Tolkiens legacy from amazons money grubbing hands and so forth. Giving many channels a new lease on life where some make Tolkien related content now amongst other things they create content wise.
Aside from that he might have lost his physical body once before exerting his fëa spirit to accomplish creation of this ring and lost alot of his former power to create this ring which is why he is unable to take form again after the ring was destroyed.
Literally 5 minutes later…”the orcs are all gone no has seen them for centuries even though nothing happened that could explain their permanent disappearance but I’m sure it’s fine”
Don’t think about just look at pretty images 😆

They transposed Feanor’s storyline and characteristics on Galadriel.
Galadriel, the foil to Feanor.
And Amazon just merges protagonist and antagonist into a single character.
Anyone could sail to Numenor at this point.
You didn’t need a magic Harry Potter portal.
Someone tell me how Numenor sailed to Valinor if there’s a magic portal?
Yea, they just screwed the entire Fall of Numenor with that bit.
You can’t have consecutive Durin’s.
And the writing?
‘A stone sinks because it looks downward’
No, we don’t alter reality to make a metaphor.
Exactly, I was telling someone this the other day about Galadriel and Feanor.
I know less about the lore than my co-host and I could tell something was off about how they did the world building for this show. So much unnecessary exposition too🤦♂️
@@rockskater77 spot on. It’s unequivocally the biggest change in the entire series.
Keep pointing it out. Maybe it’ll sink in.
Because it’s an egregious alteration of the lore that Tolkien would never abide.
Galadriel is the very antithesis of Feanor. You cannot imbue her with his characteristics.
Because it was those very characteristics that Galadriel noticed in Feanor that caused the cascade of events that led to the Kinslaying and beyond.
She knew something was off about Feanor, his pride and conceit for one. After the Kinslaying, Galadriel’s motivation to go to Middle earth was still present. But now her purpose was to go to Middle earth in order to stop Feanor. To lead her kin away from the destructive bent of Feanor.
Feanor was wrathful, prideful and vengeful. Never Galadriel. These were the very traits she came to despise in Feanor.
And now they’re imparting those very traits she despised onto Galadriel.
It’s not just a ‘change’ or wrong. It’s a complete reversal of what Galadriel was.
Galadriel was a preserver of things. It’s literally what Nenya was used for.
She abhorred the destructive power of war as she had seen first hand it’s destruction.
So instead of engaging in war, she did everything in her power to subvert and avert it before it came to be. She was a keeper of the peace. Which isn’t a passive role. She actively worked to keep the peace in Middle Earth via much effort. She was a guardian.
So a warmonger is just completely wrong for Galadriel.
She was never such a thing. She notably abstained from all wars against Morgoth in the First Age.
Yes, she fought in the Kinslaying. But the Kinslaying is a genuine anomaly in Elven history. It is one of only 3 occasions where elves fought elves. And I’m pretty sure either Feanor or his sons, the bad bunch, were involved in every one of those. So pointing out that she defended her kin during the Kinslaying does not make her a warmonger by any stretch.
Rather Galadriel saw it as an act so heinous she had no choice but to fight.
Anyone who has even a cursory knowledge of Tolkien’s works would know this.
Sorry for the rant. This bit just gets me hot.
There are places and events that Tolkien leaves open ended.
But this is no such place.
@@TheUndergroundxn The alteration of Galadriel’s character and storyline is a massive alteration.
I’d call it the biggest liberty Amazon has taken with the lore thus far.
Because it’s not just a change. They are giving us the literal opposite of what Galadriel actually was, even in the First and second ages.
I explained it at length on this thread if you’re interested.
But the point is that the showrunners and writers either really don’t have a working knowledge of Tolkien, or they are deliberately ignoring it.
I have a feeling neither of the two ever read the Silmarillion. Because if they had, this interpretation of Galadriel, the one in the series, is an impossible one.
Don't forget, apparently dogs bark at the moon thinking they can bring it down. The physics of Amazon's universe are....."strange".

You have to roll the R to make it sound really smart and old-timey.
This guy wasn’t even evil at all. He didn’t kill anybody innocent. Shit he only killed orcs. He didn’t even kill Galadriel after she discovered who he was. At the same time he didn’t even deceive anybody or forge any rings to control people. Apparently from what the show showed us, Sauron is a good guy. He didn’t do shit to ruin the world. He was just there in GUY-ladriel’s story, nothing more nothing less.
