Crush was a solid movie. I'd say of the recent billion rom coms to come out, I'd say it's just behind Love, Simon but before Love Hard. I liked it quite a bit. Hopefully, the universe will extend some to a sequel, but if not, the original was aces!
Interestingly Aulii Cravalho is also the voice actress of Hailey Banks in the cartoon series Hailey's on it. And this is a very emancipative and creative television series. So the film Crush is the second production that is LGBTI emancipative and that contains Aulii Cravalho among the cast. she went from the lead character Moana(fun fact: she did two versions of character when it came to language), an Oscar nominated film for best animation and best song, to Crush( a guilty pleasure of mine). IDK it seems like a bit of a down grade in my book. Hell, she was the best character in crush. But what killed the movie was the relationship of Stacy and Dillion. It seemed like they wanted to fuck every time they were on screen.
The movie is a bit twee it's almost childish with that American rubbish nonsense behind it.. This is where British cinema does it way better and it's a lot more serious. This movie is for kids not adults
