The music over shadowed what you had to say, remove the music, or lower it way down, and try again.

Hello friend! Firstly, thanks for the video. Would you have any Arduino code for a clock with this register and a 7-segment display? Otherwise, can I use the code made for the 74HC595 with the 74CH164 (for a 7-segment clock)? If you can answer me, I would appreciate it.

Hi @Dancopymus, while both the 74HC595 and the 74HC164 are shift registers and share some similarities in functionality, they have differences in their internal architecture and pin configurations. Therefore, you cannot directly use the code made for the 74HC595 with the 74HC164 without making modifications.
Regarding the clock, this will be discussed in a future episode. Thanks for asking. Take care!

Estou tentando expandir as portas do meu NodeMCU usando o 74HC165 e o 74HC595. Poderia me dar uma ajuda?

If You Make Simple Things Easy To Do, You Make Complexity Possible! Valeu e ótimos projetos!

What difference between 74hc164 and 74hc595.......?

Hi, Vishal Mayannache. 595 is a latch one shift. It means that it had a sort of memory. When shifted it will occurs in the background and you will not see the light flashing. 164 is not. Hope this helps happy new year thanks!

J3 I have 74hc164 shift register so....! Which is better..! 595 or 164 And happy new year

It depends on your project. There's no comparations althoug 595 is a more sophisticated chip due to it's 2 rows of flip-flops.
