This is a really fantastic makeup! It is really close to what I want to wear for new years, but I'm going to use MAC young punk instead of the black eyeshadow on the outer edge and a more lavender glitter on the inner two thirds of the lid over MAC Violet pigment for more purpleness!

Me too! Same issue - someone said it may be a combination of too large a blending brush and putting the shadow too high on my lid/not changing brushes out as I'm changing colors. No idea but that's what someone else had suggested to me.
Hello Brittany! I'm no Jaclyn but I think that you need a good blending brush! In the past I had just a few cheap brushes and my shadow never looked right but when I got a true blending brush my shadow never looked better! I mostly use Estee Lauder brushes because my mom works for them so she gets a lot of stuff for free. Hope that works out for you!
This used to happen to me, too. A proper blending brush definitely helps. Currently, i use the Pro Blending Fluff from Coastal Scents - it's super soft and not too large. Very similar to the Mac 217, but way cheaper!

Except with the new MUFE shadows I can never buy just one, I ALWAYS have to get three because it's such a better deal. They cost $14/each and you're basically getting one for free when you buy three. Now I'm off to spend the rest of the afternoon deciding which other two to get and cross-referencing what I already have to avoid dupes in my collection (because yes, I've already done that once!). Man people get heated on TH-cam. I was just asking everyone what they thought, I didn't ask anyone to tell me what kind of person I am for asking. It was an observation, she said "scotch tape" a few times and it is christmas, maybe Scotch brand is trying to branch out? Haha! I know the trick I've tried it, I am glad that JH mentioned putting it on the back of your hand first because it def doesn't pull the skin as hard. Anyway, if she did make $$ all power to her, this is a job. And why would a Q-tip sponsorship be SO ridiculous, because unless you are a youtuber or have extensively studied how they work probably shouldn't assume that non-beauty brands have approached them.
Okay I officially tried to recreate this look after many many many months of obsessing over this look . You make it easy to understand how to recreate your looks. Love your work !!! I think I did a pretty good job!
I subscribed to her because I loved her older makeup looks, now I don't like any of them :/ the new ones I mean. I hate when beauty gurus, once they get enough subscribers so that they are content then they stop putting out good work because they don't need any more subs, or they just start doing weirder looks because they want to try something new that they haven't already done.
Would you rather keep seeing the same looks? I think it's beautiful for like a girls night out. Different looks for different occasions. Imagine being her having to do a different look every week. You are gonna have to get creative and do different things cuz then she gets hate for doing the same looks. Plus the same looks get boring after a while

Any toned down, neutral based blush will work. Use a soft hand and blend blend blend! Mac sunbasque isn't bad but be careful it has a little shimmer

Man people get heated on TH-cam. I was just asking everyone what they thought, I didn't ask anyone to tell me what kind of person I am for asking. It was an observation, she said "scotch tape" a few times and it is christmas, maybe Scotch brand is trying to branch out? Haha! I know the trick I've tried it, I am glad that JH mentioned putting it on the back of your hand first because it def doesn't pull the skin as hard. Anyway, if she did make $$ all power to her, this is a job. And why would a Q-tip sponsorship be SO ridiculous, because unless you are a youtuber or have extensively studied how they work probably shouldn't assume that non-beauty brands have approached them.

I subscribed to her because I loved her older makeup looks, now I don't like any of them :/ the new ones I mean. I hate when beauty gurus, once they get enough subscribers so that they are content then they stop putting out good work because they don't need any more subs, or they just start doing weirder looks because they want to try something new that they haven't already done.
Would you rather keep seeing the same looks? I think it's beautiful for like a girls night out. Different looks for different occasions. Imagine being her having to do a different look every week. You are gonna have to get creative and do different things cuz then she gets hate for doing the same looks. Plus the same looks get boring after a while
okay listen. Jaclyn is THE BEST makeup artist I have ever seen. im sick of people saying that the fame went to her head, and shes ugly, she sucks at what she does, etc. thats not true. not one word. This makeup tutorial is not for everyday (depending on the person) and its not like she makes it. She gives tutorials for special events, or celebrations. so stop. shes amazing and i love her.
