So much lighter and brighter! I don't know why all RV manufacturers love the dark colours so much.
I think Mike lives by the motto "Happy wife, happy life" It's nice he doesn't care about the pink decor he just wants his lady safe, comfy, and happy! Such a wonderful example for your kids to love one another. I love that Megan has an awesome view for things and gets it done :)
I think RV companies should use you as a design consultant. You made the spaces look huge!
I have to admit that I had my doubts and couldn't comprehend why anyone would want to gut and paint a brand new RV, but after seeing the before and after pics I totally get it now! ! It looks amazing!! We have a 2yr old 27 ft camper. I put the peel and stick wallpaper at head of our bed a while ago and I love how it brightened the the room. Now I need to start redecorating the rest of the place asap!
Its someting that always bothered me seeing all these RV's. I dont know if its an American thing. But seeing European peoples RV's there is almost never those dark woods and carpet and stuff. And American RV's almost always have that.

@@leonielovemusic You literally can't even buy an RV in the US with lighter colors/white, unless you spend $500,000+ or buy from someone who renovated. Even the super expensive ones are very dated looking

@@melisa8256 I'm sure anyone could do it. I'm curious about cost too. I haven't looked, but I'm pretty sure it's already "a thing". I just love how they re-did this RV. They have such a good eye for the design, in both rv's they've done 👍

I'd probably be worth it if you were doing newer rigs, but speaking from personal experience, it is not worth flipping older campers, because then you have to go through the time consuming process of fixing rot, dealing with mold etc. Check out The Flipping Nomad, she does that.

Literally night and day transformation. The original looked like a cave and the remodel feels like the bright, shiny mountaintop!

this project also shows to say that not everyone will support you, but when you’re done and it’s a success. all you get are praises. people need to understand that if they don’t believe in them, you don’t have to shit on their dreams and ambitions.

As a child I always loved seeing winnebagos and RV’s when my family traveled the roads. You guys make me fall in love for them all the more. What an outstanding job through out. Everything is beautiful .

Megan, I just wanted to thank you for the comment you made on the video of tour of the kitchen after it was paid (the 5th wheel kitchen) when you said "just go for it" some times it's enough of a motivator just to hear that. I'm 46, a cancer survivor, divorced and, a recent empty nester. I've wanted to do the RV life for a while now but, have let fear hold me back. Thank you for your courage!

Love this remodel!! I will never understand why RVs are made to be so dark, I mean yes it hides dirt but it’s so depressing! I hope that RV dealers will begin just making everything more bright and cheery with more white or even a bleached wood color.

Wow M and M! I didn't realize how very DARK the RV was in its original form. All your efforts have brightened it up SO much and made it a very very happy place for your family, something you knew from the beginning! If you ever need a second career, redesigning RV interiors would be your THANG! ha GREAT JOB!!!!

Where i live its night time when you post, and usually during night time i'm having anxiety attacks and for the last 2-3weeks i've always watched your videos after having one. Thank you so much for posting so often, it has made it so much easier for me to relax after panicking. I forgot to comment last night btw and if anyone from your family sees this, thank you for helping me although you didn't even know it.
Megan, you did an amazing job decorating/designing the RV. I love all the white woodworking but I also really like the wood in the main bathroom. It's a nice change and goes great with the wallpaper.

So bright and cheerful! I love that you kept the wood "natural" in the master bath as it contrasts so well with the cacti wallpaper. I'm from Arizona and there is plenty of wood out here w/ cactus nearby so it just looks natural to me.
I thought the RV looked great when you got it and I would have left it as it was. I could not imagine you tearing it apart and painting it. You did GREAT!!!! It is better a million times over now. Seriously you could do this for a living helping others decorate. You have excellent decorating style. This is so beautiful, fun and pleasant to be in. Great job to both of you. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Great! See how important light colors are in a small living place. That give a sensation of bigger spaces. Colors you have chosen gives so relaxing and possirive energy to the RV. Factory model is nice, but somehow like an office taste, so neutral and also dark. These whites, light blues and reds shine with natural day light.

I’m currently remodeling a ‘96 travel trailer we bought off my father in law. (We also previously had a fifth wheel.) I’m in the process of ripping out the gross old carpet. I found your channel while looking for more tips to laying the peel and stick vinyl planks I purchased. I found some black and white buffalo plaid wallpaper at Target for the bedroom, but you’re really speaking to my cactus obsession... so now I’m rethinking my bathroom design. 😂 I love all the fun colors you chose!!! We have a more permanent set up at a campground by a lake (in East TN) so most everything will be bright bright bright due to the roof of our porch darkening the space. I’m getting back to work today. Thanks for the tips and inspiration!

Painting certainly opens up the trailer so much. Nice and cheery now! We use MUSEUM PUTTY (Quakehold in particular) to anchor down our plants and lamps to the tables and counters. Also to stabilize the clock on the wall so it doesn't sway. Works well and is removable if needed to move.
You two did an amazing job. I was a little overcome at first with the idea of all of the colors, but now I'm completely for the idea of colors. It turned out beautiful.

I first I thought this was really ridiculous. This RV is absolutely brand new and perfect. Now, I see why you did it! It’s so bright and inviting it’s totally retro looking and so much fun! The interior of my camper is teal and purple with coral cushions on my couch. My Husband was totally on board with it. He appreciates color, just like Mike does. ❤️

You did a beautiful job!!! It looks so cheery and fun! I would be scared to go so bold in my house, but like you said, in an RV it's different. Plus, going places in your RV is all about adventure and fun. You have made your space match that. Lightening it up took it from dark and depressing to light and happy. You should totally start a business flipping RVs or designing for the RV manufacturers.

That is absolutely awesome! I know I’ve looked at some RVs and thought they were very pretty, some even have a better kitchen than I have at home! Now I see some RVs are going back to the dark cabinets. For a while they lightened them up, some even had white cabs. I vote for white again. Like I said,absolutely awesome, perfect for your family!
