Hi, Hypergolem’s artist here o/. Been dead in the fanbase for pretty much as long as Psyched Out’s been launched, so it says something I’ve been summoned from my little cave. I wanna say thanks for not just covering these games but giving them the due diligence they deserve. You may even be the first ever person to read the manual PDF, which made me way too damn happy to see. He’s pretty humble about his stuff but it’s definitely been an honor working with such an icon in the fanbase for as long as I have, if it wasn’t for him the improvement you see in my style throughout the games absolutely wouldn’t have happened. I often cringe at my old work but by the end of our collaboration I’ve made stuff I can look back at and go “hey that ain’t bad”. Big shoutout to B13CW for the soundtracks in the final two games as well, Psyched Out especially. He was great to work with and has put out stuff that even now I sometimes go back and casually listen to. He didn’t need to put his best foot forward at all for us but he absolutely did tenfold.
Missed you dude, been a while. Thanks for the comment! Always loved your art and that manual was absolutely incredible, as was all of the artwork in Apocalypse and Psyched Out. Cheers mate! 😁 Anywhere I can follow your work these days?
@kifflom360 I've cut social media in general, been way better for it. Forgive me if you got 2 of the same ass reply idk what youtube's doing to my replies
Thank you and hypergolem so much, Kirby! Your games regularly bring me some heartwarming wholesome fun during my breaks at work, and the first time I played through Apocalypse and Psyched out, I was ecstatic to see so much attention to detail and fun ideas from you guys!
14:12 I'll take that award thanks :D Lately, I noticed folks following our dev account on Twitter, so I peeked to see if anyone mentioned the game. Your video here gave it some attention, which is awesome. We've been on a forever hiatus and while we always talk about wanting to finish the game since it was a fun project, no promises for now. glad you enjoy it!
Thank you so much for this video, really glad you enjoyed my games! I am eternally grateful to Gray for his contributions, he was instrumental in bringing my fan games to the next level. I also agree that B13CW was incredible at remixing some of the most obscure tracks from the series. Happy to see people still play these old things!
I've been watching your videos for what seems like forever, dude! It's crazy to think I started tuning in when I was just 12. Time really flies! I made Crashes Revenge when I was a kid, and gotta admit, my voice was cringe-worthy, I'm laughing my ass off watching clips of my old game, haha! Your content rocks, man. Feeling pretty honored at the moment.
Happy 10th anniversary Jak! Thank you so much for so many great year years of videos, laughs, and rages. Especially when it comes to Crash. It's no wonder so many people have made Crash games of their own.
Oh dear you found my old Crystal Forever fan games. lmao, yeah I'm definately not the proudest of those games as they were my first. However I'm not too ashamed as I did improve and created Hyper Crystal Respun which (despite it's Twinsanity esque feel to it) I am proud of. Thank you for the kind words and taking the time to check it out :) Happy Anniversary Jak! Been a fan since 2015 and it's been inspiring to see you grow as a creator.
I think I've had it saved on my computer since it was first available as I always did that whenever I could before certain things go missing! Thanks for the support and more so for being a good sport, Respun is definitely a huge leap so be proud of yourself! Clearly come a very long way! 🧡
Aw Mate Congratulations on your channel passing 10 years, You Truly Earned It! I can't thank you enough for making this video. I've had fond memories playing Flash, Tiki Quest, Ultimate, Apocalypse, Psyched Out, N. Tense Adventure and still do to this day, also an extra thanks for mentioning Crash Bash Live as I'm one of the voice-overs for that game (I promise I'm a better one than I was when I recorded lines for the game). There are a couple of fan games you didn't mention that I believe you'll have a good time with (if you haven't played them) both made by insanebrio being Crash Bandicoot UnleashedDarkness & Crash Bandicoot 4Ever Crystal Fall. Unfortunately, there's no download link for 4Ever Crystal Fall. So I've made a downloadable link on my Google Drive, should you wish to check it out let me know and I'll provide the link.
I've probably mentioned this in the comments before but I've been watching your content since the wrath of cortex review and holy shit man the evolution is crazy, your channel has always been the little engine that could and greatly inspired my own content. the fact we're now 10 years deep insane and I'm glad you're still around entertaining us, your content means a lot to me and many other viewers I'm sure, I hope the channel continues to grow and you get the recognition you deserve!
Whoa, Crash Bandicoot Flash REALLY takes me back, and was definitely the one flash game that rivaled Bloons Tower Defense in the most time I spent playing it, it's totally N. Sane how long fan games have come since that time. As for Crash Bash Live, I've tuned out of that game for years, that, I still have an old build of the game downloaded, I may want to get around to playing it again sometime, because I loved what it was doing. While Crash Bandicoot is back in the spotlight ever since the N. Sane Trilogy, I hope we continue to see more awesome fan games surrounding our favorite orange marsupial.
Jeez, 10 years?? It’s hard to believe I discovered your content back in the summer of 2017 towards the lead-up to Crash N. Sane Trilogy. Great memories, lemme say. The spike in quality when it comes to editing, script writing, and theme in your videos over the following years is nothing short of impressive. Even getting to collab with other content creators like Nitro Rad. I’m proud to be a fan of your content!
I was surprised Crystal's Wrath was not featured in this video so it is the most likely choice, but what is "that fangame"? Or is it better if I didn't know?
@@cashbanooka9166 i hope it's Crystal's Wrath, that fangame is like the beacon during Crash's hiatus. Let's not giving that game an attention because they didn't deserve it, even a slight mention can cause a messy snowball effect of a drama
Back In Time single handedly changed my mind on fan games fr, it's so good. I've heard of many others before it, including that Timetwister one that i was looking forward to, but this one. Yeah, saved the best for last truly, this one is just something really special
Happy 10th anniversary Jak. the fan Community is dedicated as hell, Someone's recently been working on a unofficial PC Port for CTR. It's always exciting to see what fans can come up with
It is so wholesome to see you make this love letter to the community and celebrating the anniversary of your wonderful channel by reviewing the crash fan games:) Funny enough, I myself have also been hoarding Crash fan games and made it a tradition to replay tge HyperGolem games, especially Tiki Might, Apocalypse and Psyched Out, as they are a perfect trilogy to encapsulate his and also GreyKirby's (who became his collaborative concept artist) artistic visions. I regularly replay them on my laptop during breaks at my job:P Cheers, mate, this was a great video👍
This is a great presentation of this massive list of fan games. Honestly got me a bit nostalgic for the whole flash era in the first chunk of this video. Didn't play many of those games specifically but the trends felt familiar. I also appreciate the tone you decided to go at these with, which you explained very well. Everything took some time and effort, so even the unfun or unfunny ones deserve some basic respect. Plus you did a nice job talking about what seemed to be the important facets of what it is like to play most of these games, and didn't spend too much time on jokes alone. I also love everything about the game you ended on, Crash bandicoot Back in Time. It looks very nice and gets the artstyle very right. I'm not even particularly into the Crash games, but I do want to try this one at least. Then you ending on a level you designed in the games editor was thematically perfect for the whole video. Really reminding me of my love for the idea of level design as a kid and teen. Never went far in any regard, but you've kinda inspired me to try getting into simple indie Dev. I've already been considering it, just need the time. Thanks a bunch for the video, it's well put together as usual and you kept the subject interesting even to me!!
Happy anniversary Jak. I started watching you in early 2016 I believe and haven't looked back. You were the first TH-camr I really started to follow regularly. Here is to another 10 years of SEJ. 🍻
Happy 10th anniversary. I'll play your level & add it to my 500+ level playlist from the Crash Community! I'm so proud to see a level from you for Back In Time!
@SquareEyedJak you know... This would be a great opportunity to introduce live cam & community for these levels & since this is you we are talking about. Can't think of anyone else to start this with Thank you 😊 🙏 💓
Happy 10th anniversary! This is a great idea to celebrate such a milestone, fangames are always filled with such love and I was especially impressed with these last few. Back in Time reminded me a lot of Rayman Redemption, which is pretty much the same idea and also has a level editor. And seeing your level designs on paper gave me a lot of nostalgia, as I used to do the same thing with the first three Rayman games (I have no clue where they are now unfortunately). Anyways, can't wait to see what that mysterious game you teased is all about. Cheers to you and (hopefully) Crash's future!
Happy 10 year anniversary to you, Jak! Your original Crash reviews are how I discovered your channel back when I was a stupid teenager. I just wanted to find some videos about the series other games, and I'm actually very happy to have found yours first. You and your channel have come a long way, and I can't wait to see what you put out next! Much love! 💖
Happy 10th Anniversary man :) I have a deep affection for Crash Bandicoot as well, it was the first video game we had in our household back in '96. Incredible memories. And I've never watched any of these fan games! Some cool stuff here... thanks for another great video, brother.
Thanks for providing us with your quality content for the past 10 years. I know I've only been watching your content for 7 years, but you have come a long since your start back in 2014. I don't know what the future holds for your channel, but hopefully we'll get to see another 10 years of Square Eyed Jak.
Happy Anniversary Jak!! It doesn't even feel that long, but at the same time, you've sort of always had a presence in my youtube feed, and I've always appreciated your hard work! Cheers man!
You and me both have our Anniversaries in February mines was the 7TH 14 Years now… I have stream Crash Games before. Been playing Crash since the PS1 Days 27 years now! Happy Anniversary bro!
Oh yes. Been waiting that you do a video about Crash fangames! Happy 10th Anniversary! Been here since i discovered the first Crash Bandicoot review in 2016 Greetings from Finland!
Man, was this ever great to watch! There are so many creative minds out there and it's just so wonderful to see! Thank you for showcasing these hidden gems!
Oh this video was amazing! i actually started watching your channel around 2015 or 2016 when I was on six grade ( I was a dumb kid) and now that I’m in university almost 21 years old. is freaking fantastic seeing your channel grow so much Jak I love all the videos and how fun they are! Take care and cheers! Greetings from chile! 🇨🇱
Congrats on the 10th anniversary Jak! Been watching since the second Hawktober and have been singing your praises as THE most under-rated channels on YT. I'm not even much of a fan of Crash yet this video is an example of how passion breeds the most entertaining content here. Keep it up and heres to 10 more years of you boss!
Been watching for years from late teens to now being 22... time flies. You're a legend man, a real one. One of the boiz so to speak hahaha, thanks for everything you've made so far :) looking forward to the future :D
hey Jak, i am currently struggling alot with depression, so i want to share a short comment of gratitude. Thanks dude for uploding. Love your content. Makes me escape reality for a while and just learn about video games. :) Congratulations on 10 years.
Happy 10 year anniversary, Jak! I discovered your channel through your Enter The Dragonfly review and have followed for about 8 years now. I like the fact that you’re on the spectrum like myself and you have used your own initiative to become creative at what you do best (being self-taught within editing methods etc…) My grandma passed away about 15 months ago and my dad passed away last month but I never fail to see a new video. I am currently starting a new TH-cam channel and keeping this one as an archive for my old content! I’m going to upload an introductory video tomorrow. Thanks for all the good times dude, you’ll make 100K subscribers and have a great fucking day!
Man... I remember playing a lot of those fan-made flash Crash Bandicoot games growing up, so you had helped me go back in time with seeing that again Jak. I also gotta say, I really do always appreciate your channel and content man, I'm especially always praying for you. God bless you, man. 🫂
Happy 10th Crashiversary Jak! I gotta pay some respects because it was through your Crash Bandicoot Wrath of Cortex review that I stumbled onto back in 2015 that got me into your channel and it's so surreal that so much time has passed since then and you've come so far and what a way to celebrate by giving some attention to the fangames. Personally, I have not played any Crash fan games but I've heard of some of them and seeing some of that old footage definitely took me back. Unfortunately I can't comment on any experiences playing them since like I mentioned before, I haven't but this was still a fun video that gave me some nostalgia for a bygone era of experimentation during that long wait between Mind Over Mutant to the N.Sane Trilogy and I think it's fair to give a hat tip to the dedicated fans who tried to make their own Crash games during that time because goodness it really was a slow-burn waiting for that next official Crash game. Anyway cheers dude and here's to many more to come!
Wow I can't believe you've been on here for 10yrs now I think I found your channel about 4yrs ago and it's always blown my mind how you aren't a bigger channel than you are your videos are incredible mate keep it up
Happy anniversary, damn! A whole dang decade, i feel like a dinosaur, however the same cannot be said about this channel, what an amazing growth and development! Cheers to the future!
31:14 Imagine if instead of Crash Tag Team Racing, they made an edgy Crash game for teens with the Mayhem design 15 years before Crash 4, similar to Shadow the Hedgehog.
Crash Bandicoot Warped was my first PS1 game, so it holds a special place in my heart, and it's where I got into the series, yeah I played the games backwards lol, I've only been watching your content since 2015 dude, but there's been plenty of laughs tho, so yeah keep doing what you do.
Happy 10th Jak!!! It's crazy to believe it's been that long since you've been a creator, and it's been 8 years since I found your channel. I hope to see you around for atleast a few more years to come 😄💜💜 (and you better review Ape Escape or lord help me so.....)
Man, 10 years....good on your growth, Jak. Been watching your work for years, and I just loved your tough love reviews, almost like being an Aussie AVGN. Here's to another 10 years and beyond! Cheers and have a great fucking day!
damn boy, 10 fuckin' years? we're the same age and you're making me feel older. I'm pretty sure I found you by googling 'crash bandicoot video' and finding your Crash 2 video back then because at the time I was looking for any information about a new game. your channel was always special to me because being the same age as you, (year younger) we have nostalgia for the same stuff and it was always to me like the AVGN but for the specific stuff I was growing up with, Crash, Tony Hawk, Spyro, Jak & Daxter, etc. us old school ps1 kids gotta stick together. glad to see ya doing well and thriving. keep on doing what you do brother.
Awesome to see your take on Crash Bandicoot: Back In Time! It's such an great game and the team behind it is equally great! I'm an active player/ creator and can't wait for you to see the new bosses and features coming! Hope you also get a chance to play some of the awesome community levels. I myself have released over 50 at this point and I'm still going. Also, I created flashback Tapes 5-9 in the game. Hope you enjoyed them!
I’ve been a fan since 2016 after I discovered your hilarious Wrath of Cortex video and it led me to binge watch all your crash and Spyro related videos. I was a freshman in high school when I started watching your videos and unlike most of the other TH-camrs I watched during that time, you’ve always stayed entertaining and genuine. I’ve loved watching your channel grow over the year and will continue laughing my ass off for years to come. Have a great fucking day! 👍
Only a mild 6 years for me, thanks Hawktober, but proud to be a part of your journey Jak. Honestly, wild to say, I never heard of Crash Bandicoot before glancing over your channel all those years ago.
Every now and then I come around to cherish the hilarious moments you recorded on previous reviews on the Crash Series. Your videos will always have a special place in my heart. ❤️
Happy 10 Year Anniversary Jak!!! I remember the first video of yours I ever watched was your old Twinsanity review back in 2014. It was around 2017 when I first started tuning into your channel and checking out your content. 2017 definitely wasn’t my brightest of years but luckily your videos helped to pull me through. Glad to know that another episode is coming out next week so I will DEFINITELY be tuning into that when it drops. You should definitely consider doing more series reviews in the future but I know that those take up lots of work so please don’t rush into that if you feel you’re not ready. And hey, I’m not sure how much help I would be but I definitely wouldn’t be against the idea of you and I working on a video together but of course that’s up to you man! I’ve never collabed with anybody on a video before but I definitely wouldn’t be opposed to doing it with one of my favorite content creators on TH-cam. Thanks man for all of the creative years and I look forward to seeing more from you as we progress further into the future! 😉👍
13:28 literally got jumpscared by one of the robot parts being the same one used from sonic robo blast 2 (one of the broken badnik pieces that spawns when fang appears in arid canyon act 3)
*10 YEARS?!?* Holy crap, it felt like 5 years. Like a lot of people, I also know you through your Crash vids, but more the negative vids like the N. Sane Trilogy first impressions. I thought you were overly critical and had the worst opinions. But as time moved, I cared less about your opinions and more of how incredibly fun your vids and the hard work you put in them. Even your more down to earth videos like the Game Testing videos are my favorite from yours. Here's to 10 more years of you and Crash and Happy Anniversary!
10:48 There's probably another character that looks more like N. Chanted, but the moment I saw them I could only think of Dimentio from Super Paper Mario.
I hope you can do a fan made game series on other franchises like mario or zelda, I loved the video I've been subscribed for like 6 years or so I'm glad you're still making awesome videos! can't wait to see the next one.
Happy to see you back again with some crash games, i also created some crash levels in back in time. Now i am curious about some of those 2D fangames, i already played the beta of n tense. Good stuff
What a fucking legend, happy 10th anniversary, I've kinda always wanted to make my own crash levels too, i sorta got to express that creativity about a decade ago making levels for a Ben10 game on the cartoon network website, those were great, i love seeing all the fan games i never even heard about before, I had known about BetaM's version of crash bash for a while cause i used to watch their speedruns of twinsanity, anyways great video Jak, hope you have a good one mate ^~^
I'm totally with you in that I would love to see what a team of talented fans could do with Crash if they also had the IP holder's blessing! Sonic Mania proves that it can work, and I've no doubt there's enough talent in the Crash fanbase too.
6:13 Same energy as when Nintendo had been lifting a lot of stuff from the Zelda RTS fan-mod, Hyrule Conquest for the more recent games in the Zelda series
Happy 10th 🎂, found your channel off the THPS and Skate content but I grew up playing Crash too, been playing N-Sane trilogy recently after I got it on sale They’re a pain in the ass but that’s what makes them fun 😂😂😂

Much love! 💖
Happy 10th Anniversary Jak!
I watched a let's play of Tiki Quest years back. Brilliant game even to just watch.
Happy 10th Anniversary Jak, looking forward to our date tonight 🥰
Congrats on the 10th anniversary Jak! Been watching since the second Hawktober and have been singing your praises as THE most under-rated channels on YT. I'm not even much of a fan of Crash yet this video is an example of how passion breeds the most entertaining content here. Keep it up and heres to 10 more years of you boss!
Been watching for years from late teens to now being 22... time flies. You're a legend man, a real one. One of the boiz so to speak hahaha, thanks for everything you've made so far :)
looking forward to the future :D
hey Jak, i am currently struggling alot with depression, so i want to share a short comment of gratitude. Thanks dude for uploding. Love your content. Makes me escape reality for a while and just learn about video games. :)
Congratulations on 10 years.
Happy 10 year anniversary, Jak! I discovered your channel through your Enter The Dragonfly review and have followed for about 8 years now. I like the fact that you’re on the spectrum like myself and you have used your own initiative to become creative at what you do best (being self-taught within editing methods etc…)
My grandma passed away about 15 months ago and my dad passed away last month but I never fail to see a new video. I am currently starting a new TH-cam channel and keeping this one as an archive for my old content! I’m going to upload an introductory video tomorrow.
Thanks for all the good times dude, you’ll make 100K subscribers and have a great fucking day!
10 years! Somehow feels both long ago and just recently at the same time. Happy to be watching you Jak!
Wow I can't believe you've been on here for 10yrs now I think I found your channel about 4yrs ago and it's always blown my mind how you aren't a bigger channel than you are your videos are incredible mate keep it up
The last fangame tease is definitely something i'm excited to see
Can tell there will be a ton of Hyjinx to be seen.
Congrats brothers I can’t believe I’ve been watching this channel since 2014! Love your work
Happy 10th Jak!!! It's crazy to believe it's been that long since you've been a creator, and it's been 8 years since I found your channel. I hope to see you around for atleast a few more years to come 😄💜💜
(and you better review Ape Escape or lord help me so.....)
Happy 10-year anniversary! Keep crushing it, man. :D
Incredible video! I hope you do Spyro fangames next Jak ❤️
Your content has always been comforting af! Thankyouthank m8
WOAH now that's crazy cause in my brain, Crash is a household name and always has been. Cheers dude!
@@SquareEyedJak My only excuse being that my first console was Xbox and as such we only had Xboxes in my house until I moved out to college
Happy 10th anniversary Jak, I've been watching it since the early days and it's one of my favorite channels for sure.
Every now and then I come around to cherish the hilarious moments you recorded on previous reviews on the Crash Series. Your videos will always have a special place in my heart. ❤️
Congrats for the luxurious chaos over the 3652 days you’ve been delivering, let’s hope to a decade beyond!
Damn. Happy 10th Anniversary dude!
Damn didn’t even realise it’s been 10 years good work on the content king
Hey it’s me (EncoreGaming) I’ve been with your channel since near day 1, I’m glad to see you’re still doing well man
13:28 literally got jumpscared by one of the robot parts being the same one used from sonic robo blast 2 (one of the broken badnik pieces that spawns when fang appears in arid canyon act 3)
Happy 10th, mate!
Wow N-Tense looks amazing!!!!
Happy Anniversary! Thanks for the great content. Hope you're doing well.
Yo, Happy 10th Jak! Outta all these fan games, Tiki Quest is a favorite of mine.
Shame Crystal's Wrath went quiet. That one looked promising.
Love you jack! 😊 Glad we have someone that's so passionate about crash bandicoot here on TH-cam! ❤ keeping the fandom alive!
33:00 lookie
👀
😁👍
Awesome to see a new video and see your doing well , squateeyedjak forever!
Back to the classics damnn i was planning on marathoning your old crash reviews someday
Been a dealer for 10 years absolutely love your channel awesome videos and I also have a crash bandicoot tattoo
10 years! Congratulations.
10:48 There's probably another character that looks more like N. Chanted, but the moment I saw them I could only think of Dimentio from Super Paper Mario.
Happy Tenth Anniversary, ya Square Eyed Aussie~
34:44 never thought I'd get to see the Crash Bandicoot equivalent of Sonic Suggests today, but here I am...
I hope you can do a fan made game series on other franchises like mario or zelda, I loved the video I've been subscribed for like 6 years or so I'm glad you're still making awesome videos! can't wait to see the next one.
N. Chant was most likely inspired by Dimentio from Super Paper Mario on the Wii.
gotta thank you man, was trying to remember the name of that Tiki Quest fangame, played a long time ago, didn't beat cortex back then :(
Happy to see you back again with some crash games, i also created some crash levels in back in time.
10:44 Maybe you're thinking of "Joka" from Klonoa (the weird jester-looking boss who also has its body detached from its hands and feet)
I have fun watching your crash videos and it’s been 10 years 😢
10:48 Dimentio. That's who you're likely thinking of when it comes to the rip-off design.
Thank you for your hustle Jak , been watching from day one and always happy to see a new upload 💪
Happy 10th 🎂, found your channel off the THPS and Skate content but I grew up playing Crash too, been playing N-Sane trilogy recently after I got it on sale
They’re a pain in the ass but that’s what makes them fun 😂😂😂
Thanks for 10 years of SEJ.
Man, no mention of Crash Bandicoot Bridges? That's actually a really good one, and the dev behind it makes some really funny crash animations too.
1 hour video, what a treat
