Firefly in my view should focus making Subang as its hub to fly domestic and regional. Let its parent MAG to fully operate out of KLIA. It is a matter of time also that MAG will have a dedicated terminal at KLIA ( Terminal 3) with MAHB under JV ( Khazanah, EPF, ADIA, GIP)
Subang airport is near to KL City center. Most Singaporeans and Indonesians will prefer to fly there as it would be cheaper to travel from the airport to the city compared to KLIA and KLIA 2.
I wonder how much would it be to fly to/from Subang compared to KLIA. I have heard AirAsia is planning to charge higher since they are trying to cater to business travelers and those willing to pay for the convenience of using Subang.
@@FlightsInAsia Yes, but the higher fare will be negated by the 1 hr 30 mins plus it takes to go to KL from KLIA or KLIA2, as opposed to less than 30 mins from Subang. Subang is one of the many cities that make up Greater Kuala Lumpur. KLIA and KLIA2 is in Sepang, which is not.
they should fly more domestic and singapore as these are the routes more critical on reaching KL through subang. other flights are still fine with klia12 as their timing definitely surpasses day trip possibility.
ngada2 tak bg jet landing kat Subang sblom ni.. penduduk bwah flight path dah hidup dgn jet aircraft for decades, dgr sgt certain quarters yg konon kata bising.. sama lah mcm Ipoh airport.. hawau! kalu dah beli rumah bawah flight path, dok diam2, jgn nak lobby suruh alihkan, airport tu aset negara utk promote economy!
Hope the authorities have plans to get the LRT to stop here too ! I luv flight here to Seletar Singapore anytime ! But hate to the ultra modern Changi ?
They have a train service from Subang Airport to KL Sentral, which was stopped but is said will be restarted once the jet operations begins. Also Subang Airport is close to the Glenmarie MRT and LRT stations, reachable by transit buses.
It's very good to have flights between Subang Airport and Don Muang Airport in Bangkok.
Won't be surprised if AirAsia does launch a Subang-Don Muang service down the road

Looking forward to flying regional routes from SZB again!😍
It gives people the option of where to fly in/out of KL. No?
Good news for those traveling to/from Kuala Lumpur.
as is the roads are already congested in that area plus very limited parking space..
Firefly…Air Asia… Batik…Trans Nusa… Scoot… waiting for u..😊
Gonna be more options for those traveling to/from Kuala Lumpur.

Maybe AirAsia can focus for domestic routes from Subang
Its been reported they are planning for domestic flights from there. KLIA will continue to be their main hub.
I hope that ASEAN flag carrier could start service in subang include malaysia airlines.

bad move..bad idea. Subang Airport should just maintained to be propeller commercial airlines only.
will transnusa be adding the route to subang or will switch from using sepang to subang?
They will operate from both KLIA and Subang.
