As a keeper that's the best stumping I've probably seen in club cricket. Everyone dreams of getting ones like that

Not sure I've seen a better stumping anywhere offhand...
The best stumping I ever saw was a keeper standing back a few yards, the batsman stood a yard out of his crease and as the ball went past the edge of the bat the keeper leapt forward, took it a few inches behind the stumps and in one movement drove his hand into the stumps. The batsman was still in forward defensive pose. But you have to keep Will Davies. Excellent keeper

Thanks - it’s important to be as unbiased as possible because the channel is about cricket first. I’ll always want Sanderstead to win but happy to acknowledge the better side on the day and all good performances
One brilliant game, and cannot believe that with that bowling and fielding Addiscombe are bottom of the table. They will surprise a few teams from now on. They were also very confident, considering their position. Really thought Sanderstead were going to do it, it was that tense, even for the viewer. As mentioned before Dan, you have been in the right place to film this summer. Cannot remember one game that didnt go to the wire, and keep us on our seats. Great stuff

It's difficult, YT algorithm means you really have to have a meaningful description otherwise the content gets buried! At least I don't give the result away

That was a very exceptional stumping, I played with a keeper that did the same thing while I was fielding at square leg umpire was asleep said not out our keeper did it again very next ball this time he had to give it out !! It was of a medium pacer at that . Keep the vids coming Dan 👍👍

Should play timed with a last hour at 5 if you start at 12. Then the amount of overs is up to bowling rate. Can still have draws but makes it easier those batting second to chase it down. Love the content
We used to have that system back in the day when I was playing league. It did work better.

25:03 'Horace Tensor' was medium quick left arm swing bowler for Great Mossop on the Rye. He was also a respected late middle order batsman with an eye for the mid wicket boundary. He never saw the 'need to blow the bloody doors off'.

At least you got a game in! Agree with comments elsewhere that despite a slow pitch/conditions, better game management needed to pick off singles etc instead of the big heave ho! Easier said than done I suppose when you're in the throws of the game! Keep up the good work with the vids!

No need - we have the funds, but it can’t be mended as it was irreparably damaged in the pipe burst in Feb. We are sourcing a new one shortly.
One of the best low scoring games, truly a thriller...fantastic, what a game...For a moment I thought Si had it in the bag....great fight back by Addiscombe, especially given they were bottom of the league. What a game!

Agree on both counts. Especially that Addiscombe wanted it more - it was a great lesson in using passion and motivation to get what you want. I was very impressed with their bowlers and in the field

They’ve both gone in search of higher level cricket - Bromley CC in the Kent Prem and Walton on Thames in Div 2 of our league.

Ah...the old salmon brunch excuse for being late from Dan (Reggie Perrin) Allen...and why not. Sorry to say that Sanderstead really gave this match away as epitomized by Jonny’s run out. Half way through the season and the mower’s knackered, the electronic scoreboard doesn’t work, the new nets aren’t up and the clock is still bug*ered. You couldn’t make it up🤦🏻♂️👍

I'm pretty sure this question has already been answered, but what's happened to George? Has he left?
He has a joined a new club, in the Kent premier league if I remember correctly.
He is at Bromley cricket club, who are in the top flight of the Kent cricket league. Moved to test himself at a higher level
I am still impressed with the make up of the side this season but i still think it lacks a good pace bowler like George i mean you do have the left arm medium ( Coulson i think his name is but he has missed a few games it seems ) i am not a fan of these timed games never seen this format in Australia it seems very unfair if you lose the toss and field 1st ....are you filming any Sunday village stuff this season or are none being played as yet ...Great channel
Thanks Fossil! Tom Coulson is missies for sure, but with a small ground out and out quicks can leak runs. Discipline and line/length is the key - and we’ve got that pretty much. Batting let us down here, and last week to an extent. Sunday stuff - there was one last week and more to come but they will be sporadic this season.

Close game always good to watch and as always well presented. Well played Addiscombe they took their chances but gotta say Sanderstead should change their name to Wallystead. They played like a bunch of Wallys in their chase, not at all sensibly, and they threw it away. Lucky its only a game but.

I think Dan Allen throughly enjoyed although being a Sanderstead CC man enjoyed watching,commenting and viewing that first x1 cricket match great neutral pressantion a real skill and one Dan is doing very well at.
Someone needs to get Tyler in the nets being thrown full tosses and get him to hit them on the floor or leave them alone you would have won that that match if Tyler had stayed in.
Only hit full tosses along the ground early in your innings or for six when your seeing them like a football at 70 plus runs.
Great show by addiscombe your not so distant local rivals great catch to win that game.

They were totally right to celebrate their success - I think they’ve lost 5 and drawn one this season, so this was a massive game for them and they outplayed us with passion and application. I hope they had a great evening - it’s important in sport and life to celebrate successes.

Some poor batting from certain players there dan and the bowling attack still seems a quick or two short but well done Addiscombe.. They showed great spirit for a team at the bottom of the table
