To be fair I was sent to school the day after my brother died. I think my family just didn’t know what else to do with me at the time.
The only thing I did not like is that the man that killed the mom had no fighting experience. He was just this average guy that should not have been able to kill that hardcore mom.
The original killer made sense because it is stated that he had a background in the martial arts.

@@menage2769 No. Doug murdered the three original girls in the OG timeline (past) while Chris killed Pam for his podcast (present). Doug is alive in the OG timeline as the high-schools principal but he only wanted to kill the three girls that got Trish drunk. Chris was the one who killed Pam (present), only because his podcast was shitty and wasn't getting views.
In the ALT timeline. Doug killed the two girls (past). The girls killed Doug and then Chris went back in time and killed the last one of the trio. Then Chris was killed and now we live happily ever after. Safe for the three girls of course but they were cunts lmao

I'm frankly not surprised that the original murderer was a classmate that wanted revenge on the three b*tches that caused his girlfriends death, it's honestly a wonder how they continued behaving like horrible people knowing that they caused someone to die and it's only when someone tries to kill them do they start regreting what they did. Also not surprised that the second killer turns out to be chris dubasage who clearly had nothing better to do with his life than making their deaths a torists attraction for his blog, which is honestly dissrespectful in my opinion despite the fact they weren't very nice people, it's also pathetic that he did it out of jealousy of his dad being a better reporter than him despite it being different times, at least she was able to prevent her mothers death but cause a change in the timeline where she has an older brother and a different name.
I was suprised actually. I saw this movie a few hours ago. And I was predicting the killers left and right, my first thought was Chris because he seemed too obsessed with the sweet 16 killer. But when Jamie went back to 1987, I was thinking that the killer might be Kara, and still Chris, the when Jamie said there might be 2 killers, I thought it was Kara and Eddie(the rockstar guy).
I thought Kara at first because Jamie said the day after her mom died that Kara always hated her dad, but they never said why. Could it be because she had a crush on him but he never noticed her? She was no where in sight when the killer came, and always has her dad back her up.
My theory was that Kara had a thing for Blake(Jamie’s dad) but was upset that he never noticed her bc he was always around the Mollys. And she might’ve got jealous and thought the only way to get him to notice her was to take out the competition. Blake and Tiffany were already dating and Jamie got her parents together earlier than planned. So that’s 2 out of 4 reasons to kill the group. If she eliminated the competition then Blake would be hers.
Then I thought it was Eddie because of the fact that he mad a song about Tiffany’s death and it got popular, so if he was the killer, he might’ve done it to get inspiration, for his songs. Probably sounds dumb but that was my theory.
I said it was Chris at the beginning because of how he spoke of Pam as if they were best friends, on to find out that she never spoke to him or even liked him. As well as his obsession with the murders, his stupid podcast, and how he was insensitive and pushy before and after things started changing.
All in all I think the 1987 killer was a good twist, I should’ve known better than to assume it was Kara, the way the made her look guilty should’ve been a dead giveaway for me. Doug was really never in sight and we find out he had a valid motive. But I wish instead of the girls explaining it, Doug was still alive to explain it and then they kill him. I’m actually glad I was wrong because I wanted to have a reason to make the “it was you?😦” Face.
As for Chris I was glad I got it right that he was the killer. But really for a damn podcast? Girl get out my face.
It's also a good parallel to life now ..I can totally see dj Vlad being Chris and going back in time to stop someone from saving Tupac lol

So if she created a new timeline .. does her old one still exist ? If so her dad not only lost his wife but now his daughter is missing .. Chris is also missing from that timeline .. I should stop watching timetravel stuff while high

I want to know what happened in an alternate timeline, a father lost his wife to an unsolved murder, while the person his wife was texting to (Chris) is also missing, and their text is most likely about her getting a note & maybe they even found the note she received, and it's all a mystery, no one knows who's the killer & then suddenly his only daughter is missing while her best friend said she's in a time machine. They're all be confused af😅 looks like he'd and the whole town be traumatized forever.

It was changing the whole time, remember, the murders were different, and that's why that guy went back to kill the last girl. So ultimately it changed the way the ending was portrayed.

I thought the journal on how everything has changed was a really cool touch. Even though their were major spoilers (I thought it was Chris the whole time, but his young self was the red herring for me), and I was pretty surprised who the other killer was since I don’t remember him being in their lives, so I just thought she “solved a mystery.” I think I might watch this just to see how everything plays out in more detail. Thanks!😊

@picklescanstay nah, doesn’t really apply in this case bcos they were pretty much grown up already, u’re 19 now so u’re talking about period of time before that, it is quite easy to forget ppl’s faces in elementary school or junior high, but by the time u’re in senior high it’s harder to forget the faces of ppl u are actually FRIENDS with, and not just randomly know or say hi in corridor.

Honestly one of the best horrors I've watched. The review was real good too. And I knew from the beginning that Chris had some part to play in the killing
He didn't initially he went back in time to prevent the main character from stopping the killings cuz if she did he'd have no career

Got 6 minutes in to the recap and decided to watch the film. It was a good watch 👍
The twist with the killer being Chris, the podcast guy wanting to make the murders popular again just to get more content for his podcast was really stupid imo. They could’ve made it to where Doug (the original 16 killer and Jamie’s principal) wanted to get revenge on Pam since shes the only survivor but still have it to where Jamie travels back in time to stop him and figure out who he was. That would’ve made the reveal in the present time more shocking. Chris’ character just felt unnecessary
I actually find it more interesting because this kind of thing has happened in real life just look at the case of Mark Twitchell
Could have but pam was never there when chris girlfriend died and i think he knows that which is why didnt kikl her in the og timeline cause nothing would stop him from killing her.

Time travel is effed up if you mess with it. It's like the video game LIFE IS STRANGE. This girl has powers where you can alter time a bit. They give you different options and they have consequences.

His podcast was getting more attention after Pam was murdered in 2023 hence renewing the public interest of the case.

Some plot of the movie is questionable.
The 1st victim is no question not preventable. But the 2nd & 3rd really is stupid considering they all believe Jaime to be psychic and can see the future. 😂
But the movie overall is a fun watch. I enjoy it.

Yeah, sometimes it's just good to suspend disbelief, unless a movie is so bad that it's impossible to do so. Then just watch it as pure cheese and make it a head shaking comedy. I love ones like that that are supposed to be dead serious but end up hysterical for the stupid fickery lol

In the orginal timeline, If Chris wasn't the killer and sent the note to build drama, who were the killers? Was it still the black Damon /cop? Overall, seems like an interesting movie, thanks for breaking down the flick.
In the current timeline it was chris he admitted to it and said he wanted the storyline to continue or something like that
No the original killer was Doug/ in present time the principal but present time chris killed his father in the past and past Chris was traumatized by it not knowing it was him and moved to a monastery to find peace basically so technically he never became the killer.

I knew that Chris would be the murderer but why didn't they just go further back in time and stop the car crash from happening?
They didn't know at that point in time the reason for the murder of the three girls was because of a car crash

Unless there have become seperate timelines then no because i remember in a few scenes the changes jaime made in the past affected that timelines future so i think now when she had killed both doug the first killer and cris the og timeline second killer the future was changed completely instead of small changes. Thats the way they have it in the movie but in actual timetravel logic there would be two completely different timelines because of jaime with her dad being left alone.

For anyone in the future who's curious about the intro song it's called Le Monde
Why is Lauren the only one that knows about all the changes? Her mom clearly kept the jacket she gave her, so they remember their "psychic" friend Jamie, but don't seem to remember her when she gets back? And how does Lauren even know what the changes are? The 16 year old Lauren that Jamie was with would've only experienced one timeline, and not known about the timeline that Jamie originally came from. Even Amelia doesn't remember the original timeline anymore because when Chris mentioned Eddie, Amelia referred to the poster of "A waterbed away" like it was common knowledge. She didn't notice the change in timeline either.
Thats what im saying this movie when it comes to time travel does not understand it. Unless jaime told lauren about every single thing that happened in her original timeline lauren wouldnt be able to to tell her whats different because she would have only experienced that one timeline.

Right the bestfroemd mom remember her but her parents specifically the mom didnt remember meeting jaime back in 87. Also the book makes zero sense because how would the bestfriend mom know whats different in this current timeline if she dont remember how the original timeline went unless jaime told her every single thing and i doubt that.
