    Their debut album is underrated for sure. You can hear a lot of Sepultyra on it too. and i hope you havent forgotten about my last comment. Morbid angel's "Nothing is Not" and "Chapel of Ghouls" would be a perfect transition from gojira to more of the oldschool darker death metal

    If you really like their double kicks and otherworldly song structures "From the Sky", "Mouth of Kala", "Where Dragons Dwell" and "The Axe" are all certified bangers. Very tight production, and awesome mixing and you could almost swear you can hear Mario's feet moving lol.
    These songs are nearly exclusively non-stop double bass.

    Oh hell yeah can't wait....L' Enfant Sauvage is Gojira at their most melodic..A lot of pll sight this song and album as their gateway to Gojira..And Love is oooold school Gojira but still has that bounce we've come to love from them no pun intended.. Gojira is a band best experienced live so I'm glad you're doing the Hellfest vid bc I've seen that entire show 🧐✌️🤘

    The music video version for Love is an edited version of the original song. Unedited song is the deal! Now System of a Down, maybe I don't know. They have the groove element I'd say more from Pantera's Far Beyond Driven and the death metal side of Morbid Angel.

    On Gojira overall I think their Terra Incognita album is underrated. I really love their discography. On their Terra Incognita album cover is a photo of the guitarist of Gojira taken by Joe Duplantier (vocalist) an Mario Duplantier (drummers) sister. An on LEnfant Sauvages album cover was created by Joe Duplantier as well as he did their 2nd, 3rd an 5th album artwork

      @@DaddyGoose_CB oh ok 😅 no, it's not a song. Ghost notes is a drumming thing. On the snare, the drummer is playing basicaly two kind of notes, the rim shots and the ghost notes. Rim shots are loud and ghost notes are more subtle. In l'enfant sauvage, Mario is playing with his left hand on the snare and if you listen carefully, he's doing something like takatakatakatakataka TAK takatakatakatakataka TAK takatakatakatakataka TAK etc. I Hope i'm clear, i'm french so of course my english is not so good 😂

    Gogira is one of few bands sound like no others. But I'm a little disapointed they don't dare to sing in French on the live one. The title is in French, they are Frenchs, so ... But it's goooooooooooddddd

    Love is a track that absolutely needs to be seen live. By far the best one with great audio is live in Rio. As for l’enfant Sauvage, anything from Hellfest wont be as good as the earlier live shows imo. His vocals on this one just don’t do it for me. The best live version for this one by far is live at Brixton Academy. I’d suggest up next The Axe or Explosia live at Brixton, as it seems you’ll like that era better than the older heavier stuff.

    • @paulatreides1354
      @paulatreides1354 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      and honestly Joe scream since 96 , he is pretty fine for a guy near 50 , yes he has his peak in 2009 , now some could argue that some singer somehow manage to keep their voice and tone for a long time like meshuggah ..but not everybody is equal ..+ this concert was the last show of the tour if i remember , doing a concert every 2 days ...yes his voice is tired , but even tired it's largely superior than a lot of metal bands .
