Senate Republicans: Build the Line 5 Tunnel

The Senate Republican caucus on Wednesday released a letter - signed by all 18 Senate Republicans - urging the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the state of Michigan to expedite their permitting processes so thousands of Michigan union workers can finally begin construction of the Great Lakes Tunnel Project for Line 5 under the straits of Mackinac, ensuring energy affordability and stability in the state. the thousands of jobs that would supposedly be created by this phoney tunnel project is untrue: this is from p 14 of the Enbridge April 17, 2020 permit application to the Michigan Public Service Commission: "C. The Tunnel and Project Creates Economic Benefits
para. 31. Nearly two million labor staff-hours will be required to complete the tunnel and
the Project. The average construction workforce will consist of approximately 200 workers
including construction and inspection personnel..." also consider that most of those 200 would be out of state tunneling experts
