Damn, you're goooood! - that's some next-level silicone work! I'm 'grey' with envy. It's clear you've been at it for years. I'm still trying to figure out how to avoid waste and get a consistent line, let alone make it look that good. Great work!
Thank you so much, I plan on doing some tutorial videos covering all basic moves and tips and tricks that I take for granted but other people will appreciate. Is there anything in particular you think I should cover?
@@southcoastsealantsltdI’d be really interested in those tutorials! From the basics of what size you cut the tip on the nozzle and why you sometimes put a bend in it, to knowing what size stick to use. This video and the information in the comments is great 👍 appreciated
I use lots of different ones, but Mt favourites are 3c sealant HM, or ottoseal s105. It's best to use minimal water and not to use your finger to compress the silicone, your finger creates a rounded edge which makes it easier for the sealant to fail at the edges. The sticks I use create a compressed tight fillet with no rounded edges and I only spray the sticks not the sealant 👍✌️
I've watched quite a few of your Vids and got to say, you make it look easy. I need to do alot practising. I know it's not your job but the tiling looks great as well
Didn’t realise you had a TH-cam channel too, see most of your videos on reels on facebook. Prefer this longer format to see more of the process. Good to see some genuine questions, and the answer you give, rather than haters being 🔔🔚s on the Facebook videos. You mentioned in other comments tutorials, I’d really be interested in watching tutorials 👍 One thing I’d like to ask is do you ever get involved with removing people’s horrendous diy attempts to work your magic? And if so what the best process for removing old silicone 😂
@beaulunaedvantures thanks a lot for the feedback. I will do an in depth video on how best to approach silicone removal and renewal. I want to make TH-cam a more educational platform for my content as well as my normal instagram reels transfered into YT shorts
Hi i really like your work !!! I am a painter and and i have tried many drip less guns, but they still keep dripping, what kind of guns do you use or do you know any good drip less gun? Thanks.
Is that really zoflora you're using as a lubricant or is that washing up liquid water mixed in an odd bottle? If washing liquid mix, what ratio please?
@@southcoastsealantsltd what ratio mate? I find my mix foams quite easily and end up just squirting out lots of bubbles. It could be my bottle I guess. By the way, appreciate the uploads your work has inspired me to ditch my vitrex profiling tool and buy some of these sticks.... absolute game changer!
Thank you, I like to tool in as soon as possible but it depends on the temperature at the time, if it nice and cool I can put down more sealant before I need to tool in. All sealants have different curing times, so It is a trial and error situation 👍
I do coulking for a living to and find it funny to see the difrences here in the Nederlands we apply a little thicker and then cut in to it so to speak and then go across it with the finger , your applying is way nicer but we get payed (at least me) by the meter and in bathroms we have to make like 300 m1 a day so this way its to slow but dot get me wrong very nice job
Geeza I’ve been doing mastic years now and gotten very slick myself. How come you use the caulking guns? Nice work btw 👍

Hi mate what’s brand silicone do you use ? Also any tips to help the edges stop lifting over time ?

Looks like the brand is cox
Quality finish. Please can you do a video on how to mastic heavily textured ceramic tiles and still achieve a great finish.
@ttp3475 thank you! I will try and get some footage next time I come across some textured tiles 👍
Sounds silly but is there a better brand of knife blades to get for cutting the sticks? Mine don’t seem to get the wood to peel off smoothly
Try soaking the sticks for s couple days at the end you want the cut to be at
@@southcoastsealantsltd legend, thank you
Amazing work.
How much do you charge to do a bathroom of this size?
Thank you! I charge a reasonable £150 + materials per visit as a minimum charge. If there are multiple bathrooms or extra works then the price goes up
Is that really zoflora you're using as a lubricant or is that washing up liquid water mixed in an odd bottle? If washing liquid mix, what ratio please?
No it's a 2 second squeeze of washing up liquid with water, it does have a hint of the zaflora which smells lovely 😂

@@STUMANFOO992 rain drops of fairy is all it takes
@@STUMANFOO99 like a 2 second squeeze of soap/fairy liquid in a full spray bottle with water
@@southcoastsealantsltd that would explain the issue I have then. I put way more than that in..... thanks for the advice! 👍🏻
Harder than it looks! How long do you leave between application and tooling up with the wood stick?

@leonhonda77 thank you, I know your process, you scrape off the top layer, I am.gping to do a tutorial.to show how to do this method
You missed the bit where you get it all over your clothes.
That’s my method anyway😊.
