This really doesn't feel like Thrill Drive. It feels more like they tried putting Thrill Drive over the framework of those Fast And Furious Arcade games. Its just not a good combo for a series as.... *horror aesthetic* as Thrill Drive.
@@jtlego1 well i guess we'll never see anything as good as Thrill Drive again. *(silently yelling at the government and the sjws for Thrill Drive's downfall)*
Yeah, the later Thrill Drive games became substandard generic arcade racers rather than what the original Thrill Drive was. I hope Konami goes back to their roots with a new installment.
The only Thrill Drive game that hasn't been preserved is the one that looks like a typical modern arcade racer, not the horror racing game that it once was.
In 2006, Konami in Japan had planned to make these features in the fourth Thrill Drive game but later canceled it. In 2007, however, Konami in the US used these to finish this game known as Crazy Streets: Thrill Drive.
From creepypasta Burnout to discount Blur?
What were they thinking?
Even the sequel to the original Thrill Drive looks a lot different.
It's unfortunate for me that this Thrill Drive has been forgotten.
They tried to be more like Burnout, ironic as that series was inspired by Thrill Drive to start.
Man, looks like they toned down the crash sequence in this game to look less horror-ish
at that point, games like nfsmw and burnout 3 had already came out, probably made more sense to change the tone in order to match those two.

Fast and the furious? This is knockoff mario kart
Fast and the furious is like the cruis'n games
Crazy Streets is so handholding. I prefer Thrill Drive 3 over this.
Its kinda absurd how far this misses the mark on what made the previous Thrill Drive games good. Mario Kart-esque powerups/Power-downs? Really?
