Still working until now? Here in my country the Basilisk V3 is half the price from the G502 X. But I heard that the sensor from Basilisk V3 is a shit.

Ive had a razer B v3 and the 502 lightspeed on my desk for a week now and they are virtually identical . but the Razer is 70.00 more, not sure if I see the extra 70.00 dollare value though .
Watching this video a year later one question though..... Did your razer basilisk V3s and g502s last a year?

I got the Razer Basilisk v3 my old G502 onboard memory got currupted and was cheaper in price. I like the mouse when comparing to the G502 Hero and X, it has better specs, and this is Razer version of the G502 Hero with improvements. I love Logitech products, I use to do their techsupport years ago. I didn't go for the Hero due to the double clucking issues. But that has alway been one of Logitech problems, even 11 year's ago. The G502 X wired is price a little to high at the moment. I'll wait for a good sale before getting one. But for now Razer will do, despite the software.
I only have the best of the best experiences with Logitech products.
My keyboard was very old, so my girfriend gave me a new from another brand, but my old logitech have about 13 years or more and still works. One of keys (the W) is broken and most of the letters are worn enough to look all black on black, lol.
Same thing with my Logitech G500.
Since 2013 or 2014 (more or less when the new G500S was about to launch i buyed the ''old'' version, the G500).
Now, the braid is all broken and the price for replacing it is almost a new mouse...
So, this time im into the Basilisk over G502X, but considering experience with friends of mine having Razer products, they dont last that long.
@@hooyabaaa2 Logitech will always be the best, G500 is classic. I did finally get the G502X. Beautiful mouse, I switch between the RB version 3, no issue with that mouse, the G600 MMO and the G502x, depending on the game. I got the G413 carbon keyboard. Replaced my G19 and G100 keyboards. One of their best keyboards they have ever come out with.
@unholydonuts i was gifted a g502x and returned it. its clicks are made of stone. i cant imagine who can use this thing without getting injuries within a week.
Just the reviewing I was looking for. Have them both in my cart and can't we decide.
It really comes down to rgb and price. If you want rgb go for razer. If you don't care then the Logitech is really good.
i had a g502 hero originally and the mouse wheel died after 4 years or something. bought a razer basilisk v3 liked it a bit but it's dying after 2 years. the scroll engine died so it can't scroll fast anymore. and the mouse don't turn itself on, when the computer starts i have to re-plug it. thinking of going back to logitech
Mouse wheels are the thing that always makes me change the mouse, at the moment, it is kind of working but I have to press harder, and the back and forward buttons of the mouse are now failing constantly, Razer Vasilisk v2
Basilisk v3 is still amazing ,and i dont mind sacrificing these extra buttons on the side
I use Old 502, I used for 3D design (AutoCad sketchup 3ds max) is it the new 502 big improve?
The sensor is a bit better. It's all marginal. So if you still have the 502 and it's working great, there is no need to update

Are you able to program the DPI shift button on the Logitech mouse? Because I know you can on the razer.
The Razer V3 had 2 major problems for me. 1. The right mouse button activated with just the weight of my finger resting on it! You cannot keep your finger held off it for long before it activates as your hand relaxes.....sent back as unusable. 2. The stupif Razer Synapse software was cauing Display Port not recognised on both monnitors starting the PC. I had to restart with a pressed power button.... not usable! Really dissappointing as it felt and looked good otherwise.
After a year my basilik v3 has damage in the left side rubber was crumble like many my 5 top tier joystick from razer today i'll try g502x

got the v3 and I really dislike the side button placement, you have to grip it really high up. The tilt click stopped working almost right away, and Amazon accepted a return. I'm going to try the logitech this time.

Razer has far superior sensor, speedflex braided cable, you bungee those and done, no feel at all. Finally G502 X stopped using super cheap microswitches that were prone to double click. Now it is just shape preference in the end and finally Logitech stopped using cheap parts. Funny thing Razer Basilisk V3 feels like G403/G703 in shape and i checked on RTINGS 3D mouse compare tool and it actually has similar shape.
I had a Basilisk - great mouse, but after three weeks scroll stopped working.
I wanted the G502X but the white rubber cord is a dealbreaker coming off a razer deathadder v2 with braids its gonna be a downgrade. There's a wireless version but it's expensive af.
Fuuuck... The g502x looks sexy in white and most of my equipment is in white.
But dang that RGB looks good and also the software auto switch scroll, far smarter than the manual switch on g502x. Apparently there's also a manual switch button on the basilisk, but if you don't use it you can remap it, is this right?

Thanks for this video! I was searching for a good comparison to transition safely from BasiliskV3 to a new G502X... My Razer broke the scroll in a few months of use, certainly I do not recommend this brand for being unreliable after 3 different mice breaking very easily

I just got both of them in, the wireless versions. I really prefer the basilisk in every aspect, it is just lacking 2 extra buttons. Scroll is better, clicks are better, better sensor (bluetooth and 2.4Ghz), RGB is nicer (but tbh I don't really care for RGB).
My only concern is reliability. The electronic clutch on the basilisk is SOOO nice, but I am concerned how long until it breaks.
I found out the Basislisk doesn't fit my hand-size for a palm grip at all. It's like the left button is concave towards the front, instead of convex like it should be, which messes everything up. The G502 is better, but it's not great either, I think after trying it once, but I might change my mind. But still looking for the perfect mouse then, because this and the MX Master are the only ones with a freescrolling wheel. I'm btw of the opinion that an automatic freespin is superior, which is only found on the MX Master and Basilisk V3, not the G502 afaik.
Edit, Razer is bringing freescroll to more mice it seems. The newest Naga is released with it too I think!

Yeah, the free-wheel is a must for me. Few/higher end mice have that. I've been using MC Masters for 10+ years, I think all of the generations. The latest MX Master S3 sucked. I loved the silent switches, but it would scroll on its own. But MX mice have 125 polling for USB, so not good for gaming. Back to the MX S3, it's the best looking one. But they changed the angle a lot compared to the previous versions. The scroll wheel is a bit improved as are the side buttons. It's about 8% smaller than the MX S2, its noticeable. But the mouse was useless with windows 11. It would keep scrolling up on its own and was jittery. I kept going back to my S2. I RMA for a replacement, same issues. After 30years, I've switched OFF Logitech.
Razer did come out with a "business" mouse that looks great, but has many design flaws. They did not use USB-C, no free-wheel???? A custom slot for its USB charging = nightmares.
Their little "business" mouse has more features, like freewheel, and silent mouse buttons. How dumb is that?
The Razer's title wheel is better than Logitech's. The grippy feel of the wheel is something to get used to. (Razer's Pro Click has a solid metal well, but not freewheel) - I got used to it. It spins better than Logitech and it's not as loud. Side-to-side click on the wheel is usable. The switches on Razer are quieter than Logitech's.
I dont understand why Razer didn't include the two programmable DPI up/down buttons, especially because they made the Basilisk as a direct competitor to the G502 line. I would love nothing more than to ditch Logitech once and for all because of their brain-dead software. But those two buttons are placed so perfectly, its hard to go back to less functionality.
Ikr, i almost wish i never tried the g502. But that just shows its a good mouse.
This is so frustrating, I would buy a Razer over the Logitech in a heartbeat IF it had the two extra buttons by the left click. I really wish they would release a model that had a matching button count. I've been using a Basilisk V2 as my daily driver for two years now, and I constantly wish it had a an extra set of buttons...so now I finally snapped, and I'm looking to switch camps.
LOL, and those 2 buttons on the left side is a major reason why I don't want the Logitech. I like the idea of them, I tried it out. For me, too cramped. Overall, looks like a great mouse thou.

I had a steelseries rival 3 mouse for a while, good budget mouse, but it was too small for my hands, so eventually I opted to buy the Logitech G502 X. I heard only good things, but there was only one problem, double-clicking issues, and I thought maybe I would get lucky and I wouldn't have problems with the mouse, then later I started looking for back-up options and found the Basilisk V3. I've had it for almost a week and no issues so far, only problem is that the sniper DPI button, whatever it's called, is uncomfortable for me, then again, I haven't really gotten used to the mouse. If it wasn't for the supposed double-clicking issues on the g502, I probably would have went with Logitech. Not saying it's a bad mouse, from all reviews it seems like a pretty good mouse for a good price, Razer is overpriced, but price wasn't a concern for me.
What do you mean with "double clicking"? I have an old G502 mouse and i dont know what problem can that be?

Optical mice can't doubleclick. Do you people not do any research before you buy? The complaints are regarding the older model with mechanical switches.
if currently have the g502 hero im looking for an upgrade either the basilisk v3 or the g502x, in my opinion i would agree the g502x is much better and the shape remains the same so its not a drastic change from my old mouse, but they could have put more lighting like on the logo, because it looks pretty plain on your desk except for the small strip at the top.
Exactly. The basilisk v3 looks great but the overall buttons feel better on g502x. But if rgb is important, try the basilisk v3
@@IBKade One thing to consider. I read the Razer mouses use lasers to detect the mouse click, so they should never get the double click issue that Logitech's do.
I'm waiting for my Basilisk v3 to get here, but I think the shapes are super similar. I cant believe they got rid of all the RGB unless you buy the $160 wireless version. I cant justify the upgrade when really, what are we even getting new over the g502 hero other than a slightly different look. Basilisk v3's are going for about $45 on ebay brand new. I'm gonna try something different for once. And that underglow RGB is just sick!
id say the g502 x plus isnt a huge difference if anything the scroll wheel is a downgrade... get the basilisk v3 for some variety
just bought the g502 x and im loving it. the rubber wire is the only thing i dont like considering the price tag.

I think they tried to make it as light and tree to move as possible. Braids have additional weight and so it does feel a bit more restrictive. This is my empricial opinion from using several mouses with both types of wires

I was using Razer Deathadder Essential and I actually liked it. But the software quality is so bad, it stops working on my pc but works on my laptop. I don't get it. It has something to do with Razer's Synapse stupid app. Now I bought the Logitech G502X and hope Logitech got good software.

Agree best mouse I've used so far (I've used G700, Razer Hex, G602, G502 Hero) the improvement from Hero ver. is like day and night, the X ver. buttons are easy to reach and it's light, close to perfect, my only complain is it's a non RGB mouse, the little RGB there only lights up when you change DPI and that's it, I just wish that they will add more customization in the software, for example, you can set the RGB to light up everytime you press G button or just light up.
Yes that's exactly what I mean. The mouse is fanatastic, the little improvements they made is outstanding and its comfortable to use. However its missing that X factor by not having any RGB lighting. I wish they had a bit more too.

The basilisk does. I just got both, trying to decide between the two. Leaning much more towards Razer, only concern is reliability and price
Been a G502 user since the days when they were just a round dome G5's and G500's. Had a few fail over the years with double clicks within warranty with zero help from Logitech, and even rude customer support. I really need a new mouse, and wanted one with RGB so I was checking out the new G502 X Pluses. I was shocked by the insane price, but was willing to buy it on a sale. I was set to buy the G502 X Plus on their Days of Xmas sale, but when the day got here, there weren't even any in stock. I'm not paying full price for that thing. And I don't need wireless. I was so frustrated I started googling if there were other comparible mouses out there. Well I found other G502 competitor models that I didn't even know existed. Ended up going with this Basilisk V3 due to the sick RGB and same shape and most of the keys from the G502, for 1/3rd of the price. We'll see how I enjoy my purchase once it gets here, but I won't be sad to say bye bye to Logitech.

@@robloxiansexclusive1781 Absolutely love it. Noticeably better than my G502 for gaming. Glides smoother and is lighter, and is even more comfortable due to the better side grip texture and not having those awkward deep channels and angles all over it. Mouse wheel is better too especially with speed scroll activating and deactivating depending how fast you scroll. The only thing I miss is the 2 buttons by the left mouse button, but thats due to muscle memory in mmos. I use the mouse wheel side clicks instead and just need to get used to it. They definitely click easier than the logitech did. I swear my accuracy in MW2 went up as well but I think a lot of that is cuz its lighter and glides better.

@@IBKade the g502 has a issue where it can register 2 clicks from 1 click even when you hold something it can release it i had this issue with my g502
Ah that issue. I haven't ran into that issue yet with the new g502 but it is still too new to tell. Perhaps there are new switches that account for that problem. Hopefully. We will have to see

The bottom has changed a lot, internals. But yeah, some people sell them used and many lie about what they're selling. "V3 for sale" and it's a V2 or Ultimate - bit its hard to tell without looking at the accessories or sniper button. SMH

прям всё по теме, словно мои мысли читает и рассуждает. У меня 1/1 белая такая же проводная g502 x и тоже брал только их из за бесконечной прокрутки. Сейчас у меня клавиатура от razer и ДА basilisk v3 шикарно бы смотрелась + у них 1 профиль, всё в 1й програме это очень удобно. И если есть возможность взять разер с бесконечной прокруткой... эх, поторопился я с мышкой. Чтож будет 2...

basilisk has a better hand feel and sensor is much better, speedflex cable is amazing, and the rgb goodness. I am a logitech shill but basilisk wins this one

@@Rayu25Demon Some Logis have silent switches.... it's sweet. But that's only on certain models. I love it. But yeah, Logi switches are louder than Razer's.
yeah, the scrolling wheel is the best in G502 X Plus :( god damn Logitech I hate you for developing such a crap :( It's a shame, after years of use of my legendary G5, bought X plus, it's like I'm holding 10 gram starving frog.
I had to throw away the g502 because I couldn't get sharp targets in the game. 650IPS helped me a lot.
120g is light. I love my "heavy" mouse lol. idk but lighter feels... cheap. eventually am i going to be swiping my hand over a pad? lolol

1. The side and thumb button is so much easer to accidently click.
2. The shape is now lower and longer, which put more weight on Ur wrist and doesn't rest inside Ur palm like the old one
3. Mouse clicks sounds terrible, loud and metallic.
4. Barely feel the mouse wheel click,
The Basilisk has a phenomenal mouse wheel, such a greet idea, If added the front 2 buttons it would be perfect.
@@davidkerr7 id say that for mouse left click you have to use more force and that would delay your "kill" ingame and also your thumb get more pressure otherwise it would be good
My basiliks v3 died and broke on its own damn with disconnecting and reconnecting issues and color change when picked up ! I m switching to g502 hero to stay chill for life damn !!
@@wildrouseacer the g502 is great, been using it for 5-6yrs but i had to keep replacing it cause the metal mouse wheel would corrode over time, they fix that with the Lightspeed version, but if u have sweaty hands its not annoying
Every razer I've ever bought has been an overpriced piece of crap, you'd think I'd have learned my lesson. Same note, not all Logitech mice are good either, but just bought the g502x wired to replace my gskill ripjaws gaming mouse replaceable weights, 4 magnetic configurable side rests, adjustable palm heel riser, and crazy rgb options. Too bad this mouse didn't evolve, its out of production, but point being, why an rgb mouse? Who the f**k looks at the pretty colors under your hand during an insane deathmatch? Rgb is only good for a nightlight in my opinion. Lets see if the logitech holds up to the badass G5 laser mouse, yeah, I still have one.

@@ItsWillossTTV g502x is a good mouse, dont get me wrong but it's not for me. I use a claw grip and this mouse is too big for me, tends to roll in my hand. Especially in a quick right motion, NOT a low profile mouse. Going back to my g skill ripjaws. It is awesome.
RGB sucks, it's for kids. It's great the Logitech doesn't have it. And if it is included in a mouse it should be easy to turn it off. Without software.

Because of the customization of buttons, most mice have software - unless they're standard 2button mice. For control of the mouse, profiles, custom button settings, etc - software is needed. The RGB looks nice... but meh. Yeah, I turn most of them off. You can control individual RGB zone. So logo = off. Having the wheel light on is fine. And less drain on battery.
