Dear Sam, as being a German, The white Module is the tire pressure control module and the metallic one is for the air suspension as you said correctly. For corrosion on PCBs vinegar can remove it, but be aware, all corrosion, even when it was conductive before, will then be gone. So you have to solder new wires then to connect the formerly corroded parts.
It wouldn't surprise me if someone - disappointed that the flood didn't do enough damage - filled the kessy module with water to get it across the insurance finish line.
Bingo bingo! Sometimes the total out is worth more than the cars value and I cant stand it. One day everybody is gonna want a Bentley Continental for nostalgia sake and theyll be ungodly expensive because all of them get parted out. Im sick of it. I will never part out another european car in my life, they all deserve saving, especially Bentleys.
This all looks so easy and fun. Just ripping apart virtually the entire interior and checking 99% of the electrical connections.... Cheap easy fix! I'm looking for a lightly flooded Bentley now. 😏
Just suffering almost the same problem on a 2005 Audi A4 Cabriolet. Car body control module is under the carpet on the left side. Completely full of water after a series of storms in the UK. Looks like water got in through a blocked drain and damaged soft top, Managed to source a replacement and like you found there are many variations but needed the specific one for my car. Everything working now except the remote key fobs as the module needs to be programmed to the car. Really great channel Sam and certainly helps showing your process for fault finding.
My guess is that fresh water got into your module through the roof like you suspected. Don’t forget rain was beat😢down with wind up to 100 mph for hours. Just pouring a bucket of water on that corner wouldn’t simulate the same conditions. A pressure washer would be closer.
He said in the 1st video the windows were left down for a long time before he got it... rain water could have easily worked it's way past the B pillar.
Yeah I was just wondering, even after he gets this thing running, how will he get rid of all the mold inside the interior pieces? Maybe inside the vents, too. He'd have to replace the entire interior unless there's some way they can kill all that mold with something.
At least he seamlessly integrates his paid spiels and greatly reduces the amount of time we have to listen to it. Everyone has to pay bills, and everyone has to eat. Why are you harshing the dude for making scratch? Jealousy? Grow up. You’re watching quality formatted FREE entertainment and bitching about it.
Sam is amazingly patient and thorough. I despise anything electrical/computer controlled. That's why I love my 83 Regal. So simple, I can do almost anything it needs! Keep up the GREAT videos.
The weird thing about the car? Looking around it, it's got a lot of ragged details. The seat wear/degradation, the key fob wear, the soft top, the one interior emblem, other clues...
Wind driven rain water. Just like my house during the 2nd hurricane. Even with storm shutters water got in past the window, and dripped down on my window sill.
Wow that was great to watch. Can’t wait till the next episode and I’ve got everything crossed for it to start. Keep up the good content and I like the fact that we get some regular content.
Bro pours a small bucket of water in car, arrives at conclusion. Ignores the fact that hundreds of buckets of fresh water rain probably hit that car during the storm. 😂
Twice i have encountered failures of the ECM on Cummins QSB6.7 engines fitted in industrial applications, in both occasions the pins were all burnt out so i assumed there was an internal short circuit that caused the problem.. A few months later i encountered a third instance, but this time when i removed the ECM connector plug i noticed it was wet and there was a sweet smell coming from it. The liquid turned out to be antifreeze, it transpired the low coolant level sensor had failed structurally allowing coolant to pass the terminal seal and run down the wires inside the loom/harness all the way back to the ECM... So maybe the water you found in the controller entered the harness higher up and followed the wires back to the connector plug on the controller..
Every used car I've gotten has come with a free tool. I still use the adjustable pliers and these locking pliers that I got in my 01 ford excursion and 05 Lexus lx470 respectively. Gotta love little freebies!
you know I gotta admit this is fun seeing how badly the guy botched the repair of this car, the guy before you I mean sam, as its weird how its such a pain in the ass yet simple at the same time, like imagine how much trouble they could have saved by just adding three inches to the overhang in the front for engine access giggity, but still like, did no one in the engineering department go no we need some more space here, here and there to help make it better, faster and easier to maintain? as these guys make british leeland look like the gods of good car packaging
Upicks are getting them in, a guy showed pics and man did the salt do them in. he opened a seat up and it was rusted to the top as the water got drawn up into the top of the foam.. the copper connection at the starter and the braided wire from the solenoid were shot he said also If you need to neutralize salt, a water and vinegar soak for a few secs then distilled water rinse helps..
What I like about this series is the realism of having to wait weeks for parts to show up. I hope at the end Sam gives us the directors cut of the whole project.
Reifendruck relates to the tyre pressure monitoring system and you were right - the other module was for the Luftfeder - air springs 😁 Great video series Sam 👍
I have a huge one actually, like I would have to put at least a gallon of cleaner in. But everyone I discussed this with told me that with voltage being sent through the circuit board while it was soaked in water that there are elements that are dead and can't be recovered without replacing whatever is damaged on the board.
The only thing to do with a Continental GT bought at auction because it was in an accident or as in this case got wet is to rip all that electronic crap out of the car along with the engine and replace it with an LS... Can you imagine the design of the Continental GT Coupè with a LS under the hood!?
The tool saying chrom vanadium is not for Chrome. It is for chromium. More specifically a chromium vanadium steel that is tough a resistant to corrosion.
Hello from Ireland again, Sam. This should be no problem for you to sort out, Sam lol 😅😅. That's a strange one, with those Modules, lol. I love the way, you know where everything is, God bless Google, lol wicked video as always, Sam. Thanks 🥰🙏🙏👌👏👏👏👏👏👏
Some of those jump packs have far less capacity than advertised. I bought one that allegedly has 8,000 mah, but something tells me, if I open it up, it'd be like half that.
Was it in the hard driving wind and rain during the hurricane? if so, then that can push water in from spots that normally don't leak, especially if that was the side being hit by the wind and rain.
Another theory about the wet module: The flooded car had a near 100% humidity in it. During the night when the temperature drops, the humidity, which is inside the module since it is not sealed, condenses. This effect is accumulative over several days and can cause a lot of water in the module. If you tasted the water and it was fresh an not salty, this may be what happened.
Look at the 1st video. The front passenger window is about 1/2 of the way down and the rear window / roof are taped up but not all the way. Possible water entry?
I wonder if when it was flooded that the salt water sitting at the bottom condensed / steamed up (black paint + sun), stuck to the top of the of the inside of the rear quarter and dripped down?
So now do you have to figure a way to vent the area for the battery so the corrosive gases don't ruin this one? Will you wire-brush the old corrosion and do a little repainting in the battery area?
Or use an AGM battery, my Ferrari had this type of battery as it was situated in the cabin, under the passengers feet😮 you really wouldnt want any battery spillage inside your aluminium car😢

Exactly what I was thinking
PCBs vinegar?
@MarioBrandt78, is that "normal" for there to be a ziptie on that connector @11:04.... Doesn't seem like it would be.
It wouldn't surprise me if someone - disappointed that the flood didn't do enough damage - filled the kessy module with water to get it across the insurance finish line.
Get a water bottle, destroy Kessy, and Ke-ching!
Bingo bingo! Sometimes the total out is worth more than the cars value and I cant stand it. Haha
Super great bargains they be!
Great way to teach patience. Just have a heavy bag to release the frustrations of slow learners 😂
Please save all the cars you can! Im sick of seeing nice cars get parted out!!

Cars don’t have a “left side”…
~drivers side
~passenger side
~specify country
@@buellb0y if you’re sat in a car and your left arm is closest to the door, what side of the car are you sat on?🤔

Thinking that is how water got to the engine immobilizer he was talking about
I can smell that interior from here.
Yeah I was just wondering, even after he gets this thing running, how will he get rid of all the mold inside the interior pieces? Maybe inside the vents, too. He'd have to replace the entire interior unless there's some way they can kill all that mold with something.
Ya boy! Smells like..."Team spir...". Too cheap, just couldn't take the shot. 😝
Car Chanel’s turning into shopping channel s. 😂😂😂😂

Does TH-cam give an award for the most adverts squeezed in to a video? Your channel is turning into a shopping channel 🙄
Cry about it
He's a huckster.
If I offered to pay for your hobbies If you agreed to tell people how awesome my farts smelled, would you.
Sam is amazingly patient and thorough.
I despise anything electrical/computer controlled.

Keep up the GREAT videos.
Dude Fadi Koka is a legend
Trace the Main wires that go to the engine, I think this was insurance fraud
It sure looks that way 4:20
Wow... the amount of spam comments is unreal
Same comment posted on lots of channels so are you the spam?
Everyone says they hate wiring, and module chasing. But deep down you know you love it 😂. The sense of accomplishment after is next to none
I think you need your stepmom to help you in those "tight" spaces😂😂. I bet she would be really helpful to achieve getting in there.
Lol
Oh great, I stopped watching this video and went to another area of the internet to watch "other" videos. Need to nap suddenly....
Please, no more 'stepmom'.
That is a german wrench- I have similar ones in my tool kit, me being based in northern germany….
The weird thing about the car? Looking around it, it's got a lot of ragged details. The seat wear/degradation, the key fob wear, the soft top, the one interior emblem, other clues...
It’s definitely been beat down and abused.
Not worth all the effort
I’ll keep my Camry
A very expensive car to repair and maintain- a big risk to buy it in this shape.
Rapper car
I wouldn't take this car if he gave it to me but it's fun watching Sam deal with it
If you buy a new one and sell it before the warranty runs out, it’s a great car. Used, no way.
Wind driven rain water. Just like my house during the 2nd hurricane. Even with storm shutters water got in past the window, and dripped down on my window sill.

E39 BMW v8's do this on the regular
Every used car I've gotten has come with a free tool. I still use the adjustable pliers and these locking pliers that I got in my 01 ford excursion and 05 Lexus lx470 respectively. Gotta love little freebies!
I love this man’s persistence.
Sam keeps getting better. Nice one!
you know I gotta admit this is fun seeing how badly the guy botched the repair of this car, the guy before you I mean sam, as its weird how its such a pain in the ass yet simple at the same time, like imagine how much trouble they could have saved by just adding three inches to the overhang in the front for engine access

When you pay the price of a new Bentley, it is expected you understand the maintenance will match the purchase price.

Love the Bentley Video....... Can't wait to see it run!
Good find on the tool. I’m an ACFT A&P.
I don’t find them often. But I have.
What I like about this series is the realism of having to wait weeks for parts to show up. I hope at the end Sam gives us the directors cut of the whole project.
Love your vids man. Keep em coming
All the parts are VW Phaeton parts, the Air Suspension part cost Like 400€ in Germany and there are a Ton of parts Here
You consistently bring something unique. That’s why I watch your channel!
Hell yeah! The finale of the mystery series Scoob.
Best automotive TH-camr by far! Always love your build logs and format of them I’m absolutely addicted 😭
11:45 is suspension / air damper control module.
Tenacious mate great work
Remove those two soft top patches above the back wheel and try your bucket test again. Likely it was rainwater from a cut in the top.
So much better... no cliff hanger! 😂 Cant wait for the next episode....
You always do such a great job
Nice one your getting there look forward to the next video.
Thanks 👍
That cow has chicken bodyguards!
💯
Discovered your channel last week and I’ve been binging all your videos keep it up!!
Sam we need longer video bro!!!
Reifendruck relates to the tyre pressure monitoring system and you were right - the other module was for the Luftfeder - air springs 😁 Great video series Sam 👍
I also noticed that the tire pressure monitoring system module is made in my country!
Sam you have the patience of Job........................ I'd have driven, wait I mean, pushed that chunk of metal off the closest pier....
best videos on one of my all time favorite cars
Sam let’s get some vehicles fix in 2025 please ⁉️💯🤔😂😂😂
Hopefully it works so you can get it started and drive it right back to the auction and get some money for all of your toil and labor!
I love how Sam always has some interesting problems with his buys.
Don't forget to clean that battery tray before you install the new battery management module
Well done Sam 👍
Great series of videos. Good luck on these 2 modules solving the problem. Can’t wait for an update!!!😊❤
Chrom is indeed chrome in german
Sonic cleaner. You can get a recommendation from Louis Rossman for a decent unit.
I have a huge one actually, like I would have to put at least a gallon of cleaner in. But everyone I discussed this with told me that with voltage being sent through the circuit board while it was soaked in water that there are elements that are dead and can't be recovered without replacing whatever is damaged on the board.
Use water in the cleaner and use waterproof secondary container filled with cleaning agent.
Almost like you bought someone else’s parts car 😂
Alright part 3👏

Can you imagine the design of the Continental GT Coupè with a LS under the hood!?
completely personal useless info for me, yet im stuck on this guys work
Who on earth would not use a non-vented AGM battery on such an expensive vehicle? Madness!
With the shape of that car and when he took the rear door panel off I thought there was a kilo wrapped in the door void!
Wishing you luck! 🤞
Excited to see if it’ll work 🤞
Sam
The water breaks the VIAs on the multi layer circuit board.
Been dealing with it for years and years
You can easily translate german to english. Reifendruck is air tire pressure. Luftfeder is air suspension. etc.
That looks like graphite on that plug.
The tool saying chrom vanadium is not for Chrome. It is for chromium. More specifically a chromium vanadium steel that is tough a resistant to corrosion.
I believe he didn’t planted the wrench ,I have found numerous tools in my past cars ..including a very nice long snap-on needle nose pliers.
This car is u tube gold
Your German is brilliant ( tyre pressure model)
I wouldn't use rubbing alcohol. You want to use isopropyl alcohol.
Sam always a great video, off topic, how about taking the Domino’s pizza car and turning into a Christmas gift giving mobile?
reifendruck control --- tire pressure control module 11:06
last video the early auction photos show the car with the rear passenger window down and when you got it there was something covering the window.
You should bring your Step Mom back on the channel... I bet she could fix it. From what I've seen, she can fix anything!!!
I see you are using AC Delco electric ratchets, would you recommend those?
WD-40 specialist does wonders to corrosion on pcbs
These videos are like crack. I can't get enough. 😂🎉
Maybe the auction patched the convertible top and there was a hole in the rain. That's my theory of how the water got in that module .
So what he’s saying is technically my GTI is a Bentley……nice! lol

Step mom polishing rims would be nice.
water line can be manipulatedlated

The wrench is very typical in Russia. Everyone car owner had a set like that.
Thankyou 😊
Reiffendrück is your tire pressure.
The funny thing is this video recorded in 2022!!!?
I was thinking the same thing when I saw the date that that piece of equipment was showing in its screen.🤔😂
Maybe Samcrac has other things to do than set the date and time in this kind of equipment?
This video series about trying to fix this Bentley makes me wish we are still riding horses as transportation 😅
water wicked up the harness? (capillary effect)
You give adam sandler vibes❤
I wonder if when it was flooded that the salt water sitting at the bottom condensed / steamed up (black paint + sun), stuck to the top of the of the inside of the rear quarter and dripped down?
FYI, pretty sure there is aprocedure to bypass the kessy...
Definitely looks like crac
The flood line was a lie! Flush this turd. 😂

Somebody pulled an insurance scheme
WTF made in the Philippines!!! So proud 🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭😁
