I really appreciate the tips core muscles 💪🏿 i may not be around the beachside like that but i apply this to land paddling due to so much flatland im around
Great video Ryan, I have a couple of inflatable boards and a really good electric pump. I've always felt it was a fantastic core workout, and I've needed some inspiration to get back at it! Thanks @Core Balance Training very motivating vid!
Good question! Yes with good form the motion can absolutely be safe and healthy for L3/4. The goal is to maintain spinal stability with your core while driving motion through the hips. Above all, listen to your body and gradually progress towards the goal.

Thank you so much.
From the video, it seems like the core is 90% of the work. I thought that SUP works hard also on the back.
Thank you!

Thanks for sharing, Kevin! We're so happy to hear that you found the video motivating and that it's inspired you to get back on your board. 🙌
Is the SUP motion safe with L3-L4 herniation because the twist is from the hip? I heard to avoid reaching-bending-twisting motions.
