Thanks a lot now that I found you I have to listen to all the stuff you posted because it's all great
That isn't an outtake. No no no.
It's a cracking album but this is well up to standard.
Thanks for your hard work Earl.
He was great!
Pure Gold 👍
Nice! ❤
Well you told me that you weren't infectious
So I brought no precautions with me
And you said your old man was in Texas
And anyway he'd forgotten his key
So I put my cassette in your bathroom
And threw all my clothes on your floor
Next thing, door bursts open
And there I am caught in the raw
Blackmail
You're blackmailing me
Sponging all my money
I don't think it's funny
The way you've been badgering me
So I'm hiding out in the basement
Wondering how on earth I'm gonna survive
Well your old man hollers
I've got ten thousand dollars for you
Cause I know you can provide
Leaving me with grounds for my divorce
Pulls out his checkbook and starts to endorse
Two Benjamin Franklins
And before I can thank you mama
* Running out account of the course?
Blackmail
You're blackmailing me
Rendering you a service
Makes me feel real nervous
Trying to get me into your schemes
Blackmail
You're blackmailing me
Sponging all my money
I don't think it's funny
Way you done the dirty on me
Blackmail
You're blackmailing me
Sponging all my money
I don't think it's funny
The way you've been badgering me
Blackmail
You're blackmailing me
Sponging all my money
I don't think it's funny
Way you've done the dirty on me
One lyric that no one can seem to figure out
@@TheRealForrestGeorge I spent a large chunk of my 20s singing along to Rock and Roll Doctor with very little idea of the actual lyrics! One evening a fellow Feat mate of mine told me the words and it relt like I'd been touched by god.
I can't imagine how you feel when you hear your father's wonderful singing voice.
I hope that you experience the same level of joy as us fans, when Lowell opens up his pipes and lets rip!
Much love to you and yours Forrest.
Peace.
Thanks for sharing Forrest. Your dad was a genius and versatile. This song is definitely geared for the Robert Palmer style but contains the unique storytelling abilities of Lowell.
Even tough I’ve been aware of the Little Feat / Robert Palmer connections, it’s just that I realized how similar Lowell & Robert’s vocal styles mesh. Who learned from whom?
This is just Palmer singing over a Lowell vocal . He basically recutting the original vocal.
It's cool though
Oh my goodness! Lowell was a stone cold genius and Palmer was a great collab for him and with
🤯🎸
Super. Is this outtake available on CD?
Assuming that’s Billy Payne on keys and Richie Hayward on drums?
no. Only Lowell played on Robert's first album. They all played on the next few albums.
I think the rest of the backing group were comprised of The Meters for this album
