Wow, 200 subscribers you said you had in this video and I'm watching this today and you have 517 thousand. I love these videos and can't wait to camp again but right now, with this perishingly cold weather, it's hard to imagine it ever being warm enough.
Hi Andy, you are very welcome it was no trouble and it was great to meet you - that is what the bush crafting community is all about, hospitality and kindness and welcoming new found friends, and as regards to you cooking us a slap up meal one day " I'm going to hold you to that buddy" He He ! Take Care & Stay Safe. Dave
I’ve been following you for about a year now. I’ve just gone back to your earliest vids and amazed with the beard and the long hair/ponytail. I thought I had the wrong channel for the minute. ☺️🏴
Andy, Outlaw Bushcraft was such a kind gentlemen. He certainly does beautiful and talented work with leather and bones. I was in stitches when I saw the parachute and the campsite. I don't know what a gathering of people at campsites in London are called. But in the USA. If I saw a parachute that size at a campsite. I would say those people are getting ready for a Ho~Down. Its a country phrase for a lot of beer and a lot of rowdy people. Well, you learn something new everyday. Sharing different areas and people was cool. Great Job Florida Girl USA
What a small world. I’m looking through for some new content and up pops my old mates Chunky and Outlaw. I’m sure they looked after you mate. That location was my first ever wild camping spot. Thanks for the videos mate.
Damn!! Rations got a whole lot better since my day😯. Gel fuel 😍. Tropical fruit drink...... what ever happened to the good old 'orange powder' ??!!........affectionately known as 'Screech powder'- on account of the noise made by the average human upon ingesting some🤣😝😂❗️❗️.... also known as 'Old foot-stomping, one-eye'!!!!--😝😜😝😜😜😜😜❗️❗️❗️ One thing that was worth trading ration contents for was the tinned, mixed fruit pudding ( you had to open it the or steep it in Drambuie or Pusser's Navy Rum to get the best out of it-----hip flask time 😁😍). Another great vid Andy👏👏👏
What happened to Chunky Prepper? I was going to subscribe to his channel because of this vid but he hasn’t posted in two years. I do hope that all is well.
I'm enjoying going through all your older videos , while I wait for my Kent Survival t-shirt to arrive. It'll keep me going until we can all get outside again.👍
Can not watch 14th video in play list as private but not worried as watched 13 of your videos so far and nice to see you get out of Kent to other countys Ill watch some more another time or when you post some more thanks for sharing keep up the good work
Hi, thank you for watching so many videos, glad you're enjoying them! the private one is unpublished at the moment but will be in a week or 2, I like to mix up the videos so its not all 1 topic. Thanks again.. ATB - Andy
Kent Survival I've been trying to send an Email to Dave but it don't I'm getting a fail to deliver msg. I'm after a hultafors sheath he makes. Some nice hand made gear he makes :)
hmm, have you tried messaging him via his channel? th-cam.com/channels/dstJ6i7WnrhIL5QRxBDJrQ.html. failing that a comment on his latest video.. I do not have any further contact info im afraid
very small and light at a good price, I'm looking to get a hex peak as well as it has more space for bad weather (changing clothes etc). Thanks for watching
As a kid I always had one of the old hexi stoves in my pack and they worked great, typical that the modern replacement is crap, things always get worse the more they progress, original is best with pretty much everything.
Andy, I know this video was 2017 but I was intrigued by your self lighting fire starters. Having just read a book on how wood burns (yes an entire book) I hope you don't mind me making a couple of comments. In your DIY firepuck video you had no sides on the starters allowing the air to get straight in from the side and draw air to the burning surface. Second wood needs to be above 300degC before it ignites hence the sparklers were an inspired choice as they burn upwards of 1000degC. Keep up the fantastic work and I hope you don;t mnd my comments.
The only way to enjoy MRE's is to watch Steve1989 eat them. For outdoors I would choose a baguette with cheese and cured meat or maybe cook up some ribs, home-made burger etc.
Another great video, apart from the dragon I love the kit that you use. I'm going to start getting some gear together for when I start wild camping and wondered if you could let me know what water bottle you use. I have subscribed and look forward to more of your vids. atb.
Hi, Thank you.. I used up that box of fire dragon and will not be buying any more haha. The bottle here and in a couple of other videos is just a 1 litre stainless steel one from ali express, no warping or anything, does the job just fine I think.. I know ASDA have been selling off some similar lately in their end of summer sales.. they were under a pound I think.
You have some great camp locations you can use. I wish I had somewhere near where I could have a fire. All my locations are very much stealth and I can only use a gas stove.
@@BushmanAOD that's right except it grows on the shady side of the tree where it's out of the sun and stays damp. It's useful for navigation as the side of the tree with the least lichen is always the South side.
Far less fuel would have been expended by simply placing the stove behind a windbreak. Placing the stove in the interior of the campfire ring with the surrounding rocks rearranged so as to be much higher on the windward side, placing the stove on the leeward side of the tent, or simply sitting in front of the stove on the windward side would help quite a bit. We all know about the so called "wind chill factor". This is a perfect example of the wind chill factor at work. I'll bet it would have required only half of the fuel it used if a decent windbreak had been employed. This bit of wisdom, and much more, has been earned through more than 50 years of "wild" camping, in all seasons, mostly in the woodlands of the northeastern United States of America. Despite my criticism, I very much enjoyed the video. Well done!

This was at a 'wild' camp site.. there is quite a lot of them popping up now, good when you want an easy one
Brill Vid. Always a pleasure thank you ☺ 👍🏻
Just getting your old feeds coming through, it's weird seeing the long hair!
Nice video Andy, really enjoying your channel :)
What knife is that andy ?
had to look at the video its so old.. its the light my fire mora, built in ferro rod
good idea on the fire starter.keep trying.that thing would be mint!!
1/2 acre wood😛
Andy why do all the trees have a green color all over them ? I live in Worcester Massachusetts USA so we don’t have that .
I think its a type of lychen, grows usually on the sunny side of trees, its damp here in the UK so maybe that's why it grows here?
