      @@jovo55 wilt was nigh unstoppable for sure but you have to keep in mind that he played in a very Fast paced Era that led to some Inflated Stat lines across the board. That’s why a lot of 1960’s players hold majority of the records.
      Shaq played in a slower paced era with Teams very rarely Scoring over 100 Points.
      I’m not saying your wrong at all but it must be Factored in when Comparing 1960’s Era players with another Era.

    As a Blazers fan during this time I can tell you he was damn near unstoppable. Sabonis was no pushover either. But he had no chance against Shaq.

    Arvydas Sabonis was a massive dude and Shaq makes him look like a kid! Love the battle between two HoF centers but the Diesel got the best of this one.

    He was doing this against real traditional centres, imagine what he would do to these "small ball era" centres of today like 6'6 Draymond green and PJ Tucker

      @@geert574 that's false. You don't have to "chuck" anything, teams now are just too focused on modeling themselves after the golden state warriors and their play style. The big men can come back, it will just take another truly dominant post player averaging 28-30 points in the post.

    • @cole9777

      @@geert574 Shaq would be useless? My god imagine him playing now. He'd make light work of Embiid, KAT, AD, and even Jokic. Shaq's stronger than any center playing today, he weighed more than any other center today. I would like to see Draymond Green guard Shaq, it would just be unfair, teams would have to triple team him on a nightly basis if Shaq were to play again. Yeah obviously he'd get into foil trouble, but Shaq could knock down free throws when they counted.

      He would get fouled out in no time in today’s NBA. Remember, back in the 90s/early 00s, they used to play harder without getting fouled.

      @@ripdeth LOL He would be eaten alive. This dude's playing like 33 year old Shaq, not 28 year old Shaq. And that's playing against the weakest class of centers in the history of the league. Dude's 6'11, Shaq would average 5 blocks a game, if Jokic could even get a shot off. I think Nike and Adidas are paying off the refs, some of these dudes would end up in ER playing real ball.

      Lebron is 38 years old.

  • @ko7577
    @ko7577 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Lakers had a 70% winning percentage during Shaq's 8 years running the squad. Turned into 52% between 2004-2005 and 2015-2016. Isn't hard to see why. I still believe if they'd traded Kobe for another all-star guard - a less selfish one - in '03 they'd have won that Detroit series and then repeated. Depending on the guard, they may have gone for three again. And Shaq's decline would have opened up room in the budget for Lebron in 2010. Probably the single greatest mistake by the franchise in history and cost them a lot of rings. Kobe's 38% shooting, 2 RPG, and 4 APG in that Detroit series was one of the worst either chokes or intentional throws I've ever seen in the league. Should have traded him in summer of '03. Those two rings and their barely over 50% winning percentage under him sunk the franchise. They could have had the two rings with Shaq and then landed Lebron, but nope. Lakers were 151-243 the last 5 years Bryant was there and he refused to take a pay cut so they could win again. Shaq was ring-hungry at the end and would have bended. Just always a tragedy there that Bryant couldn't get over Bryant.

      @ko7577 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@esdrasmakumbi4438 And this is Lakers logic. "We won 2 more times in 12 years." Big deal. Real Lebron's 4 rings could have been yours, plus the last ring with Shaq and ________. Imagine being grateful for 2 rings when you could have had 5. And this is why Celtics just took the crown in the same year the Lakers drafted a college player ranked 150th in points, rebounds, and assists just because Lebron wanted him on the team. You're a marketing team now, not a real champion. You might as well draft Drake.
