Gosh, its like Thranduil kidnapped you and forced you to make him blackberry whiskey for the rest of your life 😂😂 As a lover of many types of alcoholic beverages and an elf, I would definitely try this. Probably won't beat honey mead, but that'll be the surprise of the century if ever!
Thank God, you are using already made whiskey. I was terrified that you brewing your own whiskey and all I could think was "next week's happy hobbit: Hi, we've gone blind from bad whiskey! or worse: Hi, we're dead now."
Here and I thought we was really makeing whisky from scratch lol. No shame in using the easy route. Great videos. Like to see more. But as a side note, and take this from a southern man, you ain't lived til you took a swig of apple pie shine from that mason jar lol. Four good fights to the pint.
I use 80 and 100 proof vodka (not whiskey) and let mine set for 3 months. If you can access real moonshine that works too; I have experimented with 110 proof to 130 proof. 110 is plenty for the guys. and from experience, I think 80 proof vodka gives the best taste results. I have done strawberry, blackberry, blueberry and apple. Currently experimenting with a chocolate covered cherry flavor and a cotton candy grape version. Will know by the end of November if I am wasting my time. You gals put out very informative and entertaining videos. would like to see more brewing videos for sure!
As Illuvitar is my witness, I could not stop laughing for this entire video. And hey, I drink whiskey like Trixie from Deadwood. A year from now there are going to be a lot of tipsy elvses.
Kili i get drained by social interaction too! You both did a lovely job on your video as usual though, because of your elven looks and hobbit personalities!! Cheers!!
Jared Asher Nope! I think the sugar and alcohol keeps it sanitary. I've had multiple jars sitting around for over a year now and will occasionally pop one open. It's always gone way too quick! I have kept them in the house and out of the sun, though.
Sweet, thanks for the response. Love your channel keep up the great work! Farewell, wherever you fare till your eyries receive you at the journey's end.
+Jared Asher I have been making this basic recipe for 3 years and I never refrigerate, in fact the longer it sets the better it tastes. Tip, store it in a dark area when not consumed. I keep mine in styrofoam cooler with a lid and I store in a cabinet. I recently tried some strawberry kiwi that my brother made that aged for 8 months....I drank 1/2 the jar!
I love your videos... but I kind of want to see more of your animals because personally I love animals! Especially HORSES!!!:D:D:D I love your horses!!! I am horse crazy!!!
"If I could have a berry every day....I wouldn't..." XD
YES!! Another episode! I'm swiftly becoming addicted to these charming, funny, informative videos!
Oh my... Kili, you are so amazing doing this "tv commercial voice", that I would buy anything you advertise for instantly.

I would most likely have to use cheap Canadian whiskey. Why, I'm in Canada. hmmm, maybe I could use some Chivas Regal, Scotch whiskey.
Update Update please?

it looks like you've done the fun part before.
O.M.G.
Kelli why darling
next time use cheap vodka make brandy
From the presentation, it seems this was directed to child hobbits.
Easy to get lost with all those steps.
Right girls? 🙄
I think girls can cope with more than 3 steps, even if you do use gross “man whisky”.
Sheesh! 🙄
