This was informative. Interesting about the stroke outline affecting licensing…I learned to create stroke outlines for my text before finalizing things, but I thought this helped with printing quality. Great stuff 😊
Thanks Asher! Been a while since I've watched this one - not sure if I mention it but another reason to outline fonts is so that your printer doesn't need anything other than the file, nothing worse than opening a file only to find you don't have the fonts that were used.
@@MikePickettDesignCo I think it's great man. Very informative and helpful, especially for the younger generation of designers. This episode and topic is really something a lot of new designers don't understand and overlook, and it tends to put them and their clients in tough positions. It's great that someone in your calibre can take out some time to create this type of content to inform others.
Designing your own fonts should be the bread and butter of a accomplished Graphic designer' certainly is for me. So I've recently been getting more serious about this and actually trying to design a mainstream set of fonts i could use to narrate all my work, which any seasoned designer should know the more you delve into the deeper it gets? May share some images of the artboard arrangement I've got going on with the Ai group on Facebook because it turned out kind of interesting.. 👍🏻
I'm in the "sketch" stage of my font design, I may start to document this one but I might also wait until I've had a chance to pull one font together and then share my second time around with the "pitfalls" I encountered during the first one. Would really love to see what you're working on!
Sometime i've a confusion what type of font we use? Whose area suitable for text when i designing anything? pls make about this topics & solve these matter!
Thank you. Not that long, I had another channel on woodworking but only did about 10 videos... So around 70 videos now. I appreciate you watching and taking the time to ask a question! 🤘
Valuable information! Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!

Enjoyed this one Mike. Good job bud.
Thanks PJ! I figure it's time to start sharing more than just tools.
