11:15 Actually used to be a whole show years ago, and Ylvis was actually on an episode when they were young. Sadly I can't remember what it's named anymore, so I don't know if it's still going. I used to watch it when I was young while visiting my grandma. I had no idea what was going on, but they played the piano and sang a lot so I enjoyed it lol
19:40 Norway has it's own form for Rap called Stev, declared a UNESCO-hertiage. You can get a quick run-down on it the first 9 minutes of this: th-cam.com/video/JVmh-fd5jP8/w-d-xo.html It's not very common anymore, though, hence the UNESCO protection. International rap (with or without Norwegian artists) is more common, but it's not huge. Youngsters are generally quite neutral, while others are more either/or. Radio-stations and labels are much the same as the rest of the western world, so to a large extent, popular music follows the same trends as internationally, with some local flavour inserted.
Viggo Sandvik was a vocalist in the band "Vaselina biloppgøggers". They are, or were, a band from Toten, mwest side of the lake Mjøsa. :) And the west side is the "wrong" side. :D Og så kan alle Totninger og andre kaste seg over meg. :D
Oh man!!!! You stopped the autro the SECOND before vegard say "Concord" (the name of their company). This should be illegal, man! 😅😅😅 But I loved this video, it was easy to see that you liked this concept. They are recording season 2 right this days 🥳 and to answer a couple questions: Yes everything is improvised. Impro has kind of been one of the things that has been their "thing" their whole career. And NO, that's not what we say when we do rock, paper, scissors! That's just Bård being Bård 😂
You should really watch Karpe(Chirag&Magdi) live from Oslo Spektrum with their «Omar Sheriff»-project. They sold out Norways biggest indoor scene 10 concerts in a row. A journey of being immigrants or children of immigrants to Norway. «Ibuprofen/Ibn Adam», «paf.no», «Salmalaks» and «Baraf/Fairuz in that order. They have also become a name in parts of Asia after doing «Piya Piya Calling» in Coke Studioes Pakistan where they perform with Amanda Delara, Kaifi Khalil and the dance group Quickstyle. Watch carefully, the song is in 7 different languages. Can you name them all?😉

5:39 Thanks for the Coffee = Takk for kaffen (pronounced: takk fårr Kaff'n - using Norwegian phonetics)
The female host is actually a really great Norwegian artist with an amazing and beautiful voice. Her name is Emilie Nicolas.
Hasse Hope is the King of impressions... He had his own show on TH-cam where he competed against other Norwegian celebs in doing impressions
I have actually never seen this show. :) I need to see more of this!!

I think Hasse won the forced duett cause the artist realised he got more difficult parts of the song

We were drowned in American culture when I grown up in 70-80's
The part where they sing with another artist they all dont know some of the lyrics, so they just make their own lyrics on the fly..
Check out Emilie Nicolas
