I got to a point where my cramps during my period were making doctors think I had endometriosis or cysts on my ovaries. I was bleeding so much that I had to change my tampon every hour and even then I was leaking. I had a job where I was on my feet literally 8 hours and when there's blood running down my leg as I'm trying to take care of an elderly person, it became a health risk for them and me. I watched as many of your videos as I could. I mean I was honestly binging on your reusable period product videos. I changed to the diva cup and admittedly I was worried about overflow, but I couldn't have been happier with it. My cramps aren't as bad, I've had only one overflow issue but that was user error. Anywho, it was my body rejecting the tampons and I haven't used pads in 20 some years, so I felt this was the next step for me. My daughter and I are the only two in the house that menstruate, I just hope she doesn't have problems later in life like me. I would sincerely like to thank you Kelli for making these videos and helping women like me.
Sam Wilson have you tried the Super Jennie? I have the same issues and I love my super Jennie! It's has the highest capacity without being huge. I love it!!
My mom had this same issue and ended up paying out of pocket to have a hysterectomy because of it. Wish I would've found out about cups before she had to go thru that.

I wish schools would normalize periods for girls. My girls are teens and refuse to discuss this with me. They don't want to stick anything up there, which I understand, but they don't want to use reusable pads either. I bought the unbleached, paraben free, perfume free, etc but they had wings and my girls are super picky!!! I had to use whatever my mom bought and that was it.

Sometimes it just takes time to get used to the idea and concept before you try applying it to yourself. I never ever would have thought I was someone who used reusable pads till I tried cups and the blood stopped bothering me. I think it's just a personal journey you have to go on. Shaving also helped me become more familiar with an area that was an unromanticly mysterious jungle. It may be that they have to get familiar with the outer bits before the inner, and so on and so forth.

And I know none of my girlfriends talked about periods other than "do you have an extra tampon/pad" when they were on their period. My curiosity started when I was talking to my mum about it & I told her how much I hated pads. She suggested looking into alternatives which I knew were out there but didn't really know of. So that night I jumped on TH-cam and found Kelli. I think it helps to see someone else discuss them so freely. Now, going back I wish I had known about these in high school. Old comment but my niece was like that at first too but I knew her mom would never address it with her so I simply said that I had some things to say and all she had to do was listen. I started explaining things to her a good year before she started her period and she actually liked the sound of reusable menstrual products once I explained the benefit. Once her period finally did start, I sent her a couple of TH-cam videos, made by girls around her age, that better explained how to use them. Next, I looked into all of them and picked the one I felt would work best for her. I had a good idea of the different ones as I have been using mine for quite a while now. saaammage I just bought this. I don't know where I did it wrong, but I only able to put it inside me twice without it leaking. Is there any advice you can give to me for my next menstruation with this cup? Because I love how it doesn't open up all the way (it feels like I'm wearing nothing inside and it feels super good), but at the same time, I couldn't know if I have already inserted it in the right way because it doesn't open completely all the way. On other menstrual cup, if it doesn't open all the way, that means I inserted it wrong. But in this cup, I can't tell if it's right or wrong. The other 5 times I inserted it, the cup catch absolutely nothing (not even a drop inside the cup), so I'm quite confused

I've tried a few cups and the femmy cycle is the best... Especially if you're into yoga and do crazy positions with your body. It make a loud pop noise when you pull it out... My husband makes fun of me every time he hears it!
Yes, yes, yes, a thousand times YES! The Femmy Cycle has been my main go to cup for about a year now. I absolutely love it! I used the Lunette before that (and loved it) but after having major reconstructive abdominal surgery I found that my cervix was lower (it's always been on the lower side) and my Lunette was literally falling out and it was majorly uncomfortable! I found the Femmy Cycle and it's been bliss ever since! I think the reason why it works so well is not only because the suction but your cervix is meant to basically sit inside the opening and bleed into it and the suction helps draw it all in as well. If that makes any sense. I'm so glad you love this cup! I haven't tried the regular one, just the low cervix one but I may get the regular and just rotate based on whether my cervix is low or high because I'm similar to you and mine changes often.

Update femmycycle rules!!!! I too like the regular for the ring!! I call it Big Bertha too! Post hurricane Irma, this saved me embarrassing stuff, no extra bathroom trips!!! No electricity means no ac.. so disposal stuff smells, while people wore them!! 😨😝😵😔😳 of course bo was bad anyway!!! Just hot electric yesterday... so thankful for electric!! I left it in 48 hours due to no running water.. and I forgot too... Once I got bottled water I rinsed and was good to go again!!! So much easier than tampons/pads!! Nothing to toss away!!
How long did you boil it? Mine just came in today, and I can't find a time frame in the instructions at all. I'm supposed to start my period soon, and wanted it to be ready.
I love my femmy cycle cup. The capacity level is amazing. I'm a very heavy bleeder, and I can 3 or 4 hours longer than with my other cup. Plus it's much more comfortable! I highly recommend it!

I know you hate this but I'm so jealous. 😂 I wish I bled that little, and it was more liquidy. I've always had a heavier period and my blood is much more clotted and thick. Cups have save my life during period week. I owe that to you for convincing me to buy a cup!
Girl you know me so well ;) @Veronica Anderson, she's right! With my ablation, endovan, and all natural products, my periods did a total flip flop and are what they are today! So there is hope!
Veronica Anderson I don't know if you will see this or not but if you do I too have very heavy clotty periods and I recently discovered that taking a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar mixed in water 3 times a day everyday while on my period actually eased my cramps and to my surprise got rid of my clotting. If you can stomach it I highly recommend it!
Veronica Anderson have you been to the doctor about it? Im supposed to be going in for surgery to find out if I have endo. My periods are extremely heavy. And my mom and grandma had endo. I use the Super Jennie and I over flow it within 2 hours. 😲

Louise L toxic shock syndrome, they are a lot of waste (plastic applicators, plastic wrap), they dry your vagina, you need to change them 2-3 times more than you need to change a cup.. they are pricey, at least were I live. The cup is environmental friendly, save you money and no need to worry about that its there :)

I've watched ALL your period videos and not one convinced me to try the period cups EXCEPT this one! I just ordered it off their website directly. Wow, this cup is so interesting! I had to try two different cups before finding one that easily opens all the way for me, so like you the idea of a cup not opening all the way is so crazy! What really appeals to me about this cup is the spill protection. Unlike you, I always take my cups out over the toilet because I get a LOT of spillage. The convenience and comfortableness of the cups has always been worth it to me. But to have a spill proof cup sounds amazing and would be a game changer. So even though I thought I found my goldilocks cup in the Lena, I might just have to try this one out!!!

I've always thought since I've had kids, a cup could never work for me. But I ran across this video a few months ago and it got me motivated to try the FemmyCycle. Oh my gosh... what a game changer. Ok, here's a bit of a story. I'm a very big girl & I tried this about a year ago & I couldn't get it to work. So I just set it aside & figured I had just wasted $55. Well I've managed to lose 100 lbs in 5 months & my period returned naturally (I was using provera to induce every few months). So I decided to try using this again, and lo and behold it worked. I'm absolutely blown away by it. Some moral of the story, in my experience, it did not work for me when I was 100 lbs heavier.
I just got the femmycycle low cervix and absolutely loooove it! I had got a LadyCup. But after a few months of being uncomfortable, cup was falling out. I figured outmy cervix is low first two days. Like really low, so the cups couldn't go in. The femmycycle low cervix is magically. And yes mine is in crooked inside too. I only leaked when the cup got pretty full (I have a heavy flow. I full the cup in -8 hours)

Kelli, your videos crack me up. I love how real you are. Also, I agree the face mask kiiinda looks like blood so... hahaha! I so wish this video had been up a couple months ago because I would have thought about going this route vs the Sckoon cup when my Diva Cup became uncomfortable on my 3rd/4th day of periods. If this one doesn't work out then I'll definitely try the Femmy Cycle as I do tend to have a bit of a time getting my cup to open up.

This cup always looks so scary, it just looks so much bigger than all the others (That's what she said), but I think you are talking me into trying it. Plus it has the added bonus of being able to swirl it around like a tiny cognac glass 👍🍷😄
I've tried a few cups and the femmy cycle is the best... Especially if you're into yoga and do crazy positions with your body. It make a loud pop noise when you pull it out... My husband makes fun of me every time he hears it!

Yes, yes, yes, a thousand times YES! The Femmy Cycle has been my main go to cup for about a year now. I absolutely love it! I used the Lunette before that (and loved it) but after having major reconstructive abdominal surgery I found that my cervix was lower (it's always been on the lower side) and my Lunette was literally falling out and it was majorly uncomfortable! I found the Femmy Cycle and it's been bliss ever since! I think the reason why it works so well is not only because the suction but your cervix is meant to basically sit inside the opening and bleed into it and the suction helps draw it all in as well. If that makes any sense. I'm so glad you love this cup! I haven't tried the regular one, just the low cervix one but I may get the regular and just rotate based on whether my cervix is low or high because I'm similar to you and mine changes often.

Update femmycycle rules!!!! I too like the regular for the ring!! I call it Big Bertha too! Post hurricane Irma, this saved me embarrassing stuff, no extra bathroom trips!!! No electricity means no ac.. so disposal stuff smells, while people wore them!! 😨😝😵😔😳 of course bo was bad anyway!!! Just hot electric yesterday... so thankful for electric!!
I left it in 48 hours due to no running water.. and I forgot too... Once I got bottled water I rinsed and was good to go again!!! So much easier than tampons/pads!! Nothing to toss away!!
How long did you boil it? Mine just came in today, and I can't find a time frame in the instructions at all. I'm supposed to start my period soon, and wanted it to be ready.
I love my femmy cycle cup. The capacity level is amazing. I'm a very heavy bleeder, and I can 3 or 4 hours longer than with my other cup. Plus it's much more comfortable! I highly recommend it!

I know you hate this but I'm so jealous. 😂 I wish I bled that little, and it was more liquidy. I've always had a heavier period and my blood is much more clotted and thick. Cups have save my life during period week. I owe that to you for convincing me to buy a cup!

Girl you know me so well ;) @Veronica Anderson, she's right! With my ablation, endovan, and all natural products, my periods did a total flip flop and are what they are today! So there is hope!
Veronica Anderson I don't know if you will see this or not but if you do I too have very heavy clotty periods and I recently discovered that taking a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar mixed in water 3 times a day everyday while on my period actually eased my cramps and to my surprise got rid of my clotting. If you can stomach it I highly recommend it!
Veronica Anderson have you been to the doctor about it? Im supposed to be going in for surgery to find out if I have endo. My periods are extremely heavy. And my mom and grandma had endo. I use the Super Jennie and I over flow it within 2 hours. 😲

Louise L toxic shock syndrome, they are a lot of waste (plastic applicators, plastic wrap), they dry your vagina, you need to change them 2-3 times more than you need to change a cup.. they are pricey, at least were I live. The cup is environmental friendly, save you money and no need to worry about that its there :)

I've had the femmy cup for a while now and couldn't figure out why it worked perfectly the first time I used it then kept leaking every time after. I've watched ALL your period videos and not one convinced me to try the period cups EXCEPT this one! I just ordered it off their website directly. Not sure what changed but it's now actually cheaper to get it on the femmycycle website than amazon. Thanks BTW for sharing your experiences with us. Wow, this cup is so interesting! I had to try two different cups before finding one that easily opens all the way for me, so like you the idea of a cup not opening all the way is so crazy! What really appeals to me about this cup is the spill protection. Unlike you, I always take my cups out over the toilet because I get a LOT of spillage. The convenience and comfortableness of the cups has always been worth it to me. But to have a spill proof cup sounds amazing and would be a game changer. So even though I thought I found my goldilocks cup in the Lena, I might just have to try this one out!!!

You really made me want to try this cup so I got the two pack and I LOVE this cup so far! ❤️❤️❤️ only problem is emptying can get a bit messy if you let it fill too much, which I did because I didn’t realize my flow was so heavy. But it wasn’t that bad. I am not that squeamish.

I have this cup & it's a definite learning curve but once it's in there it's awesome. I don't feel like it's slowly working it's way out like the diva cup. As a 51 yr old (why am I even still getting a period... LOL) I wish these would have been around 40 yrs ago
I read somewhere that modern women's periods are lasting longer because, we are healthier than women were in our mothers' and grandmothers' generation. Also, we are living longer, too!

Ok, here's a bit of a story. I'm a very big girl & I tried this about a year ago & I couldn't get it to work. So I just set it aside & figured I had just wasted $55. Well I've managed to lose 100 lbs in 5 months & my period returned naturally (I was using provera to induce every few months). So I decided to try using this again, and lo and behold it worked. I'm absolutely blown away by it. Some moral of the story, in my experience, it did not work for me when I was 100 lbs heavier.
I just got the femmycycle low cervix and absolutely loooove it!
I had got a LadyCup. But after a few months of being uncomfortable, cup was falling out. I figured outmy cervix is low first two days. Like really low, so the cups couldn't go in. The femmycycle low cervix is magically.
And yes mine is in crooked inside too. I only leaked when the cup got pretty full (I have a heavy flow. I full the cup in -8 hours)
I can only hope you understand the service you are providing!! Also the peace of mind you are sharing with girls/women. I would have paid money if there were someone like you back in my day. I so wish this video had been up a couple months ago because I would have thought about going this route vs the Sckoon cup when my Diva Cup became uncomfortable on my 3rd/4th day of periods. If this one doesn't work out then I'll definitely try the Femmy Cycle as I do tend to have a bit of a time getting my cup to open up.
