Absolutely true! I was fortunate enough to have a mom that spoke plainly about these issues, but like you mention, many girls don't have anyone to talk to.

Exactly! It's a shame that something so natural and so much a part of being a woman is such a horrible taboo enough for it to be called gross or gory. I mean, I don't love people "freebleeding" to make political statements and shit, but almost all of us deal with periods and product selection pretty regularly and any help we can get is sooooooo important. I don't know what I'd do without Kelli's help. She's down to earth and just dealing with life and I am so grateful for her. It's hard to articulate how unfortunate it is that the way she shares her straightforward, day to day dealings with her body is considered brave when it's sort of ridiculous that any of us should feel like we need to hide this stuff or need any sort of bravery to speak about it, but anyway... THANK GOODNESS FOR KELLI.
People are grossed out by stuff that happens naturally. I find it to be quite odd that something that has to happen in order for humans to even exist is bad to some people. They don’t realize that there are young ladies who are scared to death of the changes that their bodies are going through and don’t have anyone who can teach them about this stuff. I guess some people don’t like that.

Here's an idea for a solution to your blood/no blood dilemma.
I watch a channel (Vet Ranch) that used to show uncensored animal surgeries in most videos. It was pretty graphic at times and they would get flagged all the time. A lot of people complained when they tried censoring the "gory" footage.
What they ended up doing was posting a censored video for those who didn't want to see the blood and stuff, and in the description you can find a link to the unlisted uncensored version of that video for those who were interested in the surgeries and/or wanted to learn.
It's a bit more work but that way they could at least keep the censored video monetised. I hope that helps !

I’ve said this before. But had I not found your videos I would have never took the plunge and tried the cup. It’s changed my life. And I know that might sound dramatic but I was miserable every month using tampons and pads. Irritation, cramping, super heavy periods... I was miserable. EVERY MONTH. I don’t dread my periods and I have no issues. Now I use reusable pads too. THANK YOU! I can’t put a dollar amount on what it’s worth to me, because it’s invaluable. Will be donating!

They changed my life as well! I'm someone who soaks through an ultra tampon an hour and undies every few hours. Since I've made the switch I don't have the issues i normally did without a cup! When you have horrid periods products like these change your life (for real) it's a game changer

I'm so mad that videos that educate, whether listed as such or not, about something so many go through is being flagged. Yet, there are still children being exploited. If it weren't for your videos I NEVER would have tried a cup. Cups have been a life changer for me and I am SO happy you actually show the blood. It helped show me how effective they are. I wasn't sold until I saw EVERYTHING!

You are absolutely my favorite TH-camr. *You* are the person who got both me and my sister into using period cups! And I have horrible cramps, so tampons and pads always made my cramps sooo much worse, so period cups have helped a lot. While for me, they still do make me cramp but not anywhere nearly as much as tampons. Also, I used to be so embarrassed about my period but after watching your videos I feel 100% more comfortable talking about periods. Like... I make people uncomfortable because I don't hold back lol.

I actually finally buckled down and bought a Lena menstrual cup because of you. I've also opened up talks with my friends about switching to the cup and telling them about my experience. I am 27 and a virgin so a size small has to be what I use and I have a heavy flow.
I've discovered it's a little too firm for me so I watched the Saalt cup video and decided to buy directly from their web site and I'll use that for my next period. But I'm soo glad I decided to try it out and it does take a learning curve to figure it out.
I am soo glad I randomly fell upon these videos the week and half before my period and decided to take the plunge.
Thank you Mrs. Kelli you have made my period something exciting to look forward to then to dread. I like seeing all of the details and everything and have recommended and shown your videos to older women and friends of mine who have been curious. I think your videos really showcase what the disc/cup/organic tampon/sea sponge, etc can do and what it looks like when it is used. I have been curious about menstrual cups for a long time but I never found enough videos that would show how it could work and how people could use it and what can go wrong/right etc. So, I would flake and forget about it and deal with the sick feeling of tampons and having to wear super maxi pads and change them out and have that horrid period smell which makes me super self conscious.
Menstrual cups absolutely rock because no icky smell, no bloating, no sick feeling, no rubbed raw if your lightly bleeding and having to pull out a half soaked tampon (ick), but they do take a learning curve.

Not too many people are so honest about having really bad period experiences in the first few years.
Please try and review more no suction cups as women with IUDs cannot use regular cups that use suction because of the threat of dislodging their IUD which can be painful and dangerous

Interested to know how it compares to the Intimina ziggy cup. Looks like it is more rounded, whereas ziggy is slightly oval.
Me too. I have the Ziggy cup but I want to try this one. I definitely don't trust the Ziggy cup to be worn on heavier days. It doesn't hold it's shape in the "cup" part which is why I think it leads to "murder scene" type emptying. The fact that she says you can empty the Nixit in a cleaner way without fully removing it makes me excited to try it too :-)
@@slimqtiee I've only tried Nixit one cycle so far, but I don't trust it for heavy days either, at least at this point. I had random leaks and there was only 10 ml in it. It is comfy, though, but definitely requires backup
@@personallyspeaking4022 I've used Nixit it for a few cycles now and it has only leaked once which is when I took for granted it's awesomeness and didn't pee for 10+ hours on a heavy day (at work, not on purpose) 🤦🏾♀️ It didn't leak until "the 11th hour". It's still my fav.

I am a devoted cup user for the last 4 years. I have a super heavy flow for a few days . I am curious if the disc would be better for those days expecially when I have to empty 3/4 times in a day. Either way I am very interested in the disc to see how it works.
I saw an add for The Tulip Cup which says you don't have to remove it to empty it, you can just squeeze the stem to empty it. Can you review this?

Women complain about the cost, which is understandable with given circumstances. But if you compare the cost of cups to the cost of tampons or pads throughout the year, it pays for itself. You pay around $7 per box of tampons per month. That’s close to $100 per year. Just something to consider when you’re doing a price comparison.
Try $10 a box for ultra tampon so In 4 months $40 or one cup 40$ hmm.

PLEASE keep making videos like this. They have been so helpful to me and given me alternatives for menstrual products that I wasn't aware of before. I'm a highly skeptical person and want to believe A product works but struggle with a box label and generic reviews without seeing it tested by someone with an objective and analytical assessment. Your testing and sharing all the gritty details helps me immensely to determine which might be best for me, especially since I struggle with severe dysmenorrhea and want more natural and healthier methods of treatment for my body instead of just resorting to western medicine like hormones or pain meds (personal choice for my body based on experience with both and have nothing against those who think differently for their bodies). PLEASE keep doing videos like this; your videos have impacted my life immensely and I've been able to also share with my sisters and friends!

The ziggy wouldn't stay in for me. I think because it's an oval. I got the nixit to stay the first time I used it.

If your fans got a petition or flooded TH-cam with support for your videos and asking they fix it so you can make money off your videos again do you think they would listen?
Honestly no. I have already asked for manual reviews for half of them and been denied. Some are still monetized with limited ads, but with the way TH-cam works, it still makes them less successful than other videos with the same views. I also think it's affecting the rest of my channel, but it's ok. I'm learning that with patience and continued hard work, good things can happen so I'm just going to keep on going :)

I have watched this video sooo many times. I have always liked “disc” style period products. I used the instead/softcup for years, but I hated the cost and disposable factor. I’m soooo glad you did this remove! I have one on the way!
This is the most comprehensive review for the Nixit I have ever seen. I recently switched from the cup to the NIxit and everything you said in this video is true and 100% bang on. I also rarely add comments on TH-cam videos but for this I felt like I must! Thank you!

I can’t use the diva cup because my cervix is way too low and I feel like I’m going to pass out when there in. So I found the flex fit. I am going to give this a try. Thank you so much for your work on teaching woman about there bodies.
nanishep I also was unable to use the Diva cup because of my low cervix. The Diva cup just happens to be one of the longest menstrual cups out there! I found a chart comparing sizes and now I happily use the Ruby cup and Merula cup, but I’m also planning on purchasing this one. :)
I love that you show everything in your videos. You are helping show that "hey! periods are normal!" I am a women's health NP and it is so refreshing to see someone talk about periods as they are and show that it is normal and not anything to be ashamed of! I also love watching your videos for the information even as a healthcare provider! It gives me more insight into what works well and what doesn't! Keep up the good work! :)
Why would anyone flag you if theres like a million warnings and a skip option?? I personally like to see all of the gory details to help me with my own decisions but people have the option to avoid it.

The reason videos like this are flagged is because people have a problem with women being empowered enough to talk openly about the natural things that happen with our bodies. I love your videos and I think it’s awesome you show the blood and people should just not watch if they don’t like it. Keep them coming please!!!!

I absolutely love Softcups but they aren’t reusable so I got a diva cup. I need a new size because I got the small size 5 years ago but I’ve since had a baby and need a different size so I may just give Nixit a try! I do wish they came in the same colors as the boxes though.
