I'm happy to hear you do your beauty regiment at home. I don't like going to a salon. 1: too expensive 2: time consuming 3: I don't like all the questions about my life

Ahhh I feel like you’re such a kindred spirit. I love your attention to detail and how much you prioritize aesthetics but you’re also very practical and results-oriented with your purchases and habits. That’s how I see myself as well... I also find grooming more of a “job”. I even use the same miscellar water lool. Thanks for the window into your routines, it’s always nice to compare notes
Warning: if you live in a humid climate like Florida, but don’t use air conditioning, you might want to rethink putting a mattress right on the floor. It can start to grow mold underneath. That is what another one of my favorite people discovered who likes to keep her mattress on the floor. She solved it by putting a simple wood pallet support underneath it, just a little bit of breathing room.
I love this more real approach to self care and beauty routines, just simple things that don’t require a full on spa day every week. I also couldn’t take my eyes off the bouquet behind you, it’s beautiful!
Yes, please Aly, make a video of your skincare and if you feel comfortable could you also make a video about your eating/movement habits? You are wonderful as always ❤️
Amazing insight into how many things a woman may work up to perfection by herself! This is so uplifting and useful for so many women. I guess this is a spartan habit that may have been inherited from Russian mothers, compared to western habits for beauty care in salons - but many things done by oneself imho can really be rooted not in a strive for saving money but in self respect and certainty in what you really want it to be like. Thank you Aly for valuable tips I did not use before.:) My best wishes for your charming slender beauty and smart personality !:)
You make me think of my Noona and how she may have been at my age. She was so put together, and in tune with how to take care of herself and keep up her fresh and elegant appearance. I adored her, and glamorous department stores remind me of her and now you do too ❤️ I feel connected to her when I’m taking tips from your videos. Thank you so much.
Hi Aly, I use the same dye for my brows and I have a trick for you: before dyeing put some vaseline around your brows so the places you don’t want to be dyed will not color. It works perfectly! Love your tips!
Very useful information and much admiration for this video and all the ones you produce on the Kibbe types. I have learned a lot from you and I as a 70 year old thought I knew it all :)
I have always done my own manicures and pedicures at home, starting when I was a teen. I am now 61, and everyone I know has been going to nail salons for decades. I just never got into the habit. I would never be able to cut my own hair though☺️!
Thankyou so much for sharing.... It was very interesting nothing fancy like other youtubers... Very versatile and relatable as usual.... Love you Ally ❤️❤️❤️
Thanks for always making such informative videos! I appreciate your transparency and feel that I can try what you talk about because it doesn't seem difficult or confusing. Every time I see that you have made a video I watch it right away no matter what it is about, it's always so interesting.
Re: micellar water, I’ve tried the Bioderma and the Garnier and I found the difference between them to be negligible, especially considering the price difference-for that reason, I use the Garnier. I would absolutely love to see a video about how to choose glasses online!
I tried olive oil on my dry skin after a stower when pregnant at 29. Very soft, supple skin, feels fantastic and goes in completely after air during for about 15 minutes. No stretch marks after 3 babies. My husband loved it too. Have used it on some elderly clients as well to soften where needed or as a light. massage oil. Love your singing!
Recently I bought a new pair of glasses and I had to return them. Something was off with my pair. Online (with pictures I took) they suited me better. Therefore I'd love to see a video of yours covering that topic how to pick a glasses
I love your simple routines! I have simple routines too. I'm going to start washing my reading glasses more often, thank you for mentioning this, it's a good idea.
We are very much alike :) I like to do everything myself too. By the way, I use a 10% urea + 10 % salicylic acid ointment for my feet and sometimes even hands. It is really good for those who do not enjoy mechanical exfoliation (although I do like mechanical plus this chemical one). I think in the U.S. it is called Kerasal, but there may be other brands. Slather it on after your shower making sure to rub it on your toe nails and all skin below ankle level and wear cotton socks. Do it for a few days and you will see the difference. This will help with nail fungus and/or brittle toe nails too.
Thank you, Aly! Great video! I recommend the "Living Proof" product Dry shampoo. The packaging is gray. It smells great (not strong smell, but strong volume). The best dry shampoo for volume! You can buy a small size to try (92ml) if you want.
It just comes to show that when you are naturally healthily pretty you only need a basic routine without having to spend the earth to maintain such a fresh naturally beautiful looks.😍👍😍
A tip. When using normal polish seal it with "seche vite" brand top coat. It's the best one. It's very shiny, dryies fast and last longer. 😉 I worked in beauty salons as a beautician.
Oh, you can find duvet covers at Bed Bath and Beyond or Macy's. Deodorant: Native without baking soda. You can find it at Target or Walgreens. Skin care: Pixi double cleanse and toner for night time. don't doubt on laser. Best investment in my entire life. It was 2000 euro, 10 years ago. I never got to regret a cent. For the deodorant. 3 years ago until now I make my own. It's 2 parts of cornstarch, 2 parts of sodium bicarbonate, baking soda, and 3 parts of coconut oil (I use virgin, cold pressed) but cocoa butter or any other vegetal fat used in cosmetics that melts at body temperature is perfect. I love the simple potassium alum crystal deodorants, Salt of the Earth or similar. The crystal ones are best imo, for some reason they work better for me than the sprays because they don't have extra ingredients that are sticky or irritating. I've used Bio-derma Micellar for a couple years now as it works well, but I recently purchased a bottle of Garnier to save money. The Bio-Derma is a smooth liquid, slightly more refreshing than water. The Garnier, I find, has a bit of a squish, almost foamy texture to it. I don't mind the difference as I do a cleanse afterward, but once my budget is in better shape I will switch back to Bio-Derma. Also, I keep my micellar and face creams in the fridge. ;) What a great regiment! We have a lot in common. I enjoy saving money by maintaining good habits and treating myself to spa days at home. My favourite is keeping a foot scrub on hand in the shower, I hate scaly feet! I love your nail polish colour choices, I've never used the Sally Hansen cuticle remover, but I will likely check it out now. Thanks for sharing all your tips!

Awesome video! Bleaching my hair at home has been great for me. It saves so much money and I can do it exactly how I want it. I’ve always done my nails at home too because salons are so expensive and I feel like I’m there forever! I’ve got to try the gel method :) thank you for all the tips
I love Kate Somerville ExfloiKate and just started using the liquid version. I am 56 years old so this is an important step in my skin care routine. I mostly use BareEssentials make-up.
Thank you for all your incredible content, Aly. Dr. Dray recommends washing armpits with a benzoyl peroxide wash (like Panoxyl). it somehow takes care of the bacteria that causes odor so you don't even need deodorant. 2 steps in 1!
I use the EO essential oil brand spray deodorant in lavender. I get it at Natural Grocers, but I believe Sprouts or Trader Joe’s may have it too. It works well for me and I love that the spray doesn’t leave me feeling greasy or have that white residue.
Thank you for sharing! I love your phrase at the end, "that's how I manage my time and my desire." It inspired me to consider dialing in on my wants into a practical routine. Also, I started using No.7 Lift and Luminate exfoliator, and my skin has seemed smoother and more truly cleansed. So I agree that exfoliation is important, especially with masks and season changes, I want my fresh layers of skin looking good!
I don't like deodorant so I use zinc oxide powder or you could use any powder specifically made for under arms. I've been doing that for a year now and it's amazing! No smell and I've gotten lighter under arms 😁
As a brunette who dont dye my hair, I think the purple color correction is more important on the ends since these get more yellowish because of sun exposure.
The Weleda citrus and the Sage spray deodorants are natural and work great. The Soprano platinum ice is a great laser hair removal system that is painless and the most effective ❤️
Good video! Best natural deodorant I have found: Aubrey's E Plus High C. For hair heat protection I like Aveda's Heat Relief, which I use just as a light leave-on conditioner even when I don't blow dry, curl, or straighten my hair. Walgreens brand eye makeup remover and Cera Ve hydrating mycellar water as a first wash, with cotton pad, to get off sunscreen, etc.
Ciao Aly , thank you for being so refreshingly honest and unassuming . You asked about natural deodorants. I highly recommend Schmidt’s, it is the best I’ve found. Very effective and available in many scents (or unscented too) to suit your style or different moods.. You may need to warm on skin to soften before applying some days, or you can purchase in a pot and apply by hand. And you can find several options on Amazon. Best to you 🙂
Dear Aly, I have a good advice for natural deodorant! I do this for myself. buy either cocoa-butter, or shea-butter or coconut butter and mix them. about 70g shea butter 30-35g coconut butter (unscented), heat these gently up and add 2 big spoons of soda powder (Natriumhydrogencarbonat). when it cooled down and starts getting a solid consistency add 20-30 drop of your preferred essential oil. I like tea-tree oil plus orange blossom, or lavender and ylang-ylang, or lemongrass on its own. Write me if stg is not clear! Hugs
Can you do a video where you show how you curl your hair with the iron? I try to do mine, but I feel it's too wide. Yours looks like the same width as the one I have. It's hard with shorter hair. So I was wondering how you curl it.
Try micellar water first, then gel. Micellar water is supposed to remove makeup, and gel is supposed to wash your skin, it might help you as you won't have wash your face 2 or 3 times :)
I had the same issue with natural deodorant containing baking soda irritating my skin. I really like AHA-based natural deodorants, but it took a while for me to realize how well they work because there is a bit of a purging period once you start. They don't prevent you from sweating, but when I use them I don't smell for several days. Kosas has a decent one (I prefer the unscented). The Drunk Elephant one works for me as well but I don't like the applicator as much
My FAVORITE deodorant is l’Occitane en Provence lemon verbena scent. Not super organic, but goes on like velvet and smells so good you don’t need perfume.
Most natural deodorants really don't work for me either, but I quite like Toms of Maine Unscented. It doesn't leave any weird residue and is non-irritating for me. I recommend giving it a try!
So what do you think about face shaving for exfoliating the skin and other benefits many swear by? It seems to be the big thing right now, even alot of celebrities are doing it... and no, apparently it doesn't cause hair to grow back thicker & longer. I'm considering it but still on the fence.
I have been shaving my face for about a year and a half and I can vouch for the fact that the hair doesn’t grow back thicker. It really helps to remove dead skin and I find my products sink in better. I buy Tinkle razors on Amazon (they’re listed as eyebrow razors I believe). They come in a pack and after I wash my face I leave some cleanser on for moisture, shave with the hair growth pattern, rinse my face and make sure to wipe the razor clean and sterilize it with alcohol. You can get a few shaves per razor and usually only need to do it every few weeks. Hope this helps!
Thai mineral spray deodorant..3-4 spritzes..you’ll never use anything else💐 Laser is awesome…you won’t regret it for a second! Love that ur talking about ur beauty routine…it’s efficient and u look gorgeous💗💐
Nuud is a really good natural deodorant! I was skeptical about the good reviews, some people saying that they only had to apply it once a week. For me, I put it on every 1-2 days but it works well and has no scent 🙂 and the packaging is compostable
If you are using soap all over your body for every shower you need need need to be moisturizing after every single shower as well. It’s not common in white culture but it definitely is for poc and they surely reap the benefits! After starting to moisturize after every shower my skin is radiating, also you really do not need to use soap allll over unless there is visible dirt or you know you have been sweating a lot.
You are always cold, you sleep long hours, your hair and nails do not grow very fast...You have classic symptoms of Thyroid issues. A simple blood test will give you more information. xoxo
I would love to watch a glasses video! I had surgery 3 years ago, and I still have the bridge of my nose super sensitive. I can't wear lenses because it's not appropriate to my vision, and I can't handle my glasses too long because of the sensitiveness on the side of my nose. If by any chance you have tips for that I would appreciate it so much
I’m like you, not a lot of sweat but I find that arm and hammer natural deodorant and lululemon’s spray deodorants work really well. Typically one application lates me all day unless very hot
Hi Aly, thanks for letting us know your Beauty Routine. Now i know why you have so many glasses (i have -10 btw). I use Deodorant-cream from a German Onlineshop called "Wolkenseifen" and 3 of Them (my Favorites) smell heavenly. D.
I'm happy to hear you do your beauty regiment at home. I don't like going to a salon. 1: too expensive 2: time consuming 3: I don't like all the questions about my life
I feel you, it gets so uncomfortable when they start asking you personal questions...
Me too, I have sensory issues so I like being able to control the formula, scents etc.
"WhAt Do YoU dO iN yOuR mIsErAbLe LiFe? ArE yOu DoCtOr? My SoN iS dOcToR!!"

the native deodorant works very well and is natural i love it
don't doubt on laser. You can add essential oils for perfume if you like. Only melt coconut oil and mix thoroughly the other ingredients until everything is completly blended. I like to keep shaking it until solidfies. Cnd vinylux weekly nail polish is best of both worlds for me (removes gently, lasts, applies and dries quickly)
Gorgeous look, Aly! Your hair has taken on the appearance of silky, smooth platinum. The whole look is laid back sophisticated beauty.
You talking about your bed, the love! You've nearly got me convinced.

I forgot, my absolute favorite natural Deodorant is a brand called Humble. They have amazing scents and real results.

Dear Aly, I have a good advice for natural deodorant!
I would like to see a video how to buy glasses online.
Thai mineral spray deodorant..3-4 spritzes..you’ll never use anything else💐 Laser is awesome…you won’t regret it for a second! Love that ur talking about ur beauty routine…it’s efficient and u look gorgeous💗💐
Thai mineal spray deo is aluminun, wouldn't use it.
If you're looking for a stick deodorant, Native works well for me and they have baking soda free options
I like native deodorant, it works well for a natural deodorant
Nuud is a really good natural deodorant! I was skeptical about the good reviews, some people saying that they only had to apply it once a week. For me, I put it on every 1-2 days but it works well and has no scent 🙂 and the packaging is compostable
French phyto brand have a good hair protectant
I also like one sheet under and one over hotel style.
looking forward to seeing you skincare routine❤️
If you are using soap all over your body for every shower you need need need to be moisturizing after every single shower as well. It’s not common in white culture but it definitely is for poc and they surely reap the benefits! After starting to moisturize after every shower my skin is radiating, also you really do not need to use soap allll over unless there is visible dirt or you know you have been sweating a lot.
You are always cold, you sleep long hours, your hair and nails do not grow very fast...You have classic symptoms of Thyroid issues. A simple blood test will give you more information. xoxo
Such an interesting video!
Aly,
Fructis shampoo and conditioners work well and are cheap in price.
Glycolic acid from The Ordinary works as a good deodorant.
I love your videos, they helped me a lot 💕
I like using Schmidt’s deodorant. Currently using the Rose and Black Pepper one and it definitely works for hot weather.
Please do a makeup and skincare collection tour. 🥰
Great video as always.
Crystal deoderants work. But also my favourite is homemade. Coconut oil, baking soda and an essential oil.
Hi Aly, thanks for letting us know your Beauty Routine. Now i know why you have so many glasses (i have -10 btw).
I use Deodorant-cream from a German Onlineshop called "Wolkenseifen" and 3 of Them (my Favorites) smell heavenly. D.
