At nine years old, in REAL LIFE, I repeatedly witnessed the scene where she is committed to hospital with her husband and the doctor encroaching on her....in my own family home. So I'd add the word "harrowing" to your descriptions.
Greatest acting performance ever, Gena Rowlands, in this film. Opening Night Is even more interesting But a woman under the influence is a perfect film
This film knocked me off my feet. So much passion and beauty.

Wow. This man understands life
Great score in one of the best films ever made.
Amen
So nice to listen to Bo talk about the film in its sound dimension. Such a special film, As the people behind it.
John had such faith in his cast and crew. And he was 100% right that Bo could do it, incredible score
The goofy piano opening has stayed with me for years. I love that part.
More Bo Harwood! My favorite living movie composer, so under-rated, but so rich, and what a voice! This is great! He needs a compilation. Or we do.
This is such a deep analysis on this masterpiece of a film and on life! John Cassavetes was a genius
John Cassavetes is my favorite filmmaker and A Woman Under the Influence is my favorite film.
Cassavetes is KING that's all I gotta say..
Lovely film with one of the best scores of all time.

che meraviglia, il cinema fatto con il cuore, da persone piene di cuore
I like your narration and background guitar. Thanks.
Cassavettes, one of the great directors of all time (because the other one it's Bergman)
@Peter Kelner one hit wonder? Faces, love streams, opening night, the killing of a Chinese bookie... huh!
Just bought the film on criterion great film. Was luck enough to see it in a theatre this year
Love you,Bo.
Call is. We still owe you a birthday dinner.
In opening night there is a song that plays while Gena Rowland orders a drink. I could never find that song and it kills me.
Great stuff man, Bo seemed like a cool dude
Love John and Gena. (In their own way) they were equivalent to Picasso.
Great video :) What's the song that's playing in the end?
So does this music just not exist outside of the film? I'm looking for the song in the end credits, Pete Kazoo.. can't find it anywhere.
hey have you find the first song?
Does anyone know if its possible to get the instrumental of the bus scene song anywhere? I've been searching for it everywhere! So beautiful!
Anyone know the track beginning at 3:55? It's not on Bo's website.
Here's a composite of his recordings: th-cam.com/video/z1gqF-GIrzU/w-d-xo.html
Xing Tu I’ve been trying to find the entire soundtrack for years without success. So haunting..
@@aspasia1958 Seriously! This is driving me crazy. I can't find it anywhere. I really want to find the song in the end credits, Pete Kazoo.
@@aspasia1958 do yoy know the first song?
@@donniedarko464 no. I wish.
What is the song at the end and how do i find it
A woman, Bo Harwood is on youtube
Peter Faulk in the husband role is a little difficult for me, because I first became aware of Faulk as Lt. Columbo , the scruffy detective on TV ;-)
