Listening to Babymetal, I always tend to get emotional. Their music is so much more powerful that I ever gave it credit for when I was younger. Such amazing music, amazing young women, and an amazing band all form one of the best bands I've ever heard. They are so fearless! They must be protected at all costs!
Mikio's favorite thing in life seemed to be: family/children, playing guitar and performing, drinking alcohol with friends and having laughs. He was always smiling it seems.

It was this show that started Babymetal's rise to prominence in western metal. Most of the people that saw them that day had no idea whio Babymetal was and of course they blew everyone away because they are so good live. After this Babymetal was getting all kinds of rave reviews in western metal magazines and ended up winning a lot of metal awards later that year from Metal Hammer and Karrang.

For me this performance brings regret... Cause I WAS AT THAT FESTIVAL. But we got late There with my friend & only heard them already playing as we were going to The stage. I finally got to see them live now but Yui wasnt There :'( It was still Amazing & cant wait for Her return
The majority of the crowd did not know who Baymetal were, as it was the 1st time Babymetal played in the UK, they just went to see them to see what all the fuss was about in the metal media. Some of the crowd were there to boo or throw stuff at them while they were on stage, but Baymetal won them all over during the 1st song and they ended with that reaction from the crowd.
and they were not even waiting for them, those are like 50000 metal fans waiting for other bands, most of them didn't know babymetal existed and they were supposed to play at another smaller stage but somebody told them at the last moment "you go play on the main stage". this was amazing and historical, everything could have gone very wrong, but they conquered the audience and left the people wanting more.
The last moment thing is a bit of an urban myth. I know because I bought a ticket for the Sunday, when they were first anounced, playing the smaller stage at around 4pm. The only Babymetal videos that have disappointed me were the videos where someone messed up the sound mixing. I think it was the Glastonbury 2019 recordings that were really bad. You can barely hear Su-metal in those recordings.
