This is working great with my m1 nighthawk. I wish I had some more in depth gaming walk through setup info for it and what my best option is to get the most speeds from it for PS4. That's really the entire reason I went with all this equipment including a weboost antenna and amp (since I live in the sticks ) . Signal couldn't be better. I just wish I knew the exact setup for the m1 and tplink Archer C7 so I wouldn't feel like I'm missing something. I am double natted but even still it's working great so far. But I wanna be sure to get all I can out of it. I'm pretty knowledgeable on networking but by no means advanced at all so it's been really tricky for me getting all this to work once including this thing into my network loop. I haven't really changed that much on the router itself most all my changes were on the m1 but that's what I'm afraid of. Fucking up something and having to wipe out once again then forget how I had it all working to begin with 🤣

you didnt have to do about 10 of those steps. should be a default password and ssid on a sticker on the new router, just feed it internet, connect to it wirelessly, follow instructions to navigate to the setup page. finished
I just setup this same router. You can complete all of the initial setup over WiFi, no need to ever have a wired connection. Use the SSID and password on the back of the router. I set everything up using my smartphone.
Question: noticed you had a plastic covering on the router antenna when you unboxed. Did you remove it? Seems like it's not there as you were setting up?

Your review wasent half bad but your begining speed test is very inaccurate seeing that at 0:55 in one of your tabs you were in the process of uploading a video during the speed test. The router will improve speeds over the basic version router but maybe make sure your testing variables are accurate.

If your 4-yr-old modem/router combo has gigabit ports, you should be fine. However, it probably has 100MBps Ethernet ports so connecting your new AC1750 to one of those will restrict the bandwidth coming into your network.
but 150 wireless is good. Have you tested what it is wired? My net is 235 Mbps but my old router was limited to 90 so I want to know this can do over 200 Mbps wired
yes as long as you have an ethernet port on your modem I just installed one today on a dsl network but if you get speeds like 15 mbps then thats what you'll get with this router if wont make it faster.
I just bought this router today and I have a Spectrum modem. After you plug in the router, connect it to the modem, and power up both the modem and router, wait like 2 minutes for them to load up. Search for wireless connections and you should see two TP-Link choices (one for 2.4Ghz and one for 5Ghz). Click on either one and when it asks for the password, the wireless password/PIN can be found on the sticker on the bottom of the router. You will next have to enter tplinkwifi(.)net in your web browser. Type in admin for both the username and password, and then you have to set up the router. You might have to clone the MAC address from your previous router but I didn't have to. Since you also use Spectrum, I'm guessing you won't need to. After I was done, I upgraded the firmware and restarted my computer. Originally, my Internet speed was testing at 6Mbps but after I restarted my computer, I was testing at like 118Mbps.

I actually originally lost Internet speed changing to this router. I upgraded the firmware and restarted my computer. Went from 35 Mbps to 6 Mbps to 118 Mbps. I only bought it today but so far it's been consistently over 100 Mbps.

What router are you using? A name-brand or a Verizon-branded model (and probably slightly modified to allow Verizon to make external and highly-suspect modifications)?
This router is a real piece of chit. You can not change any of the wifi setting like channel, encryption type, mode, channel width. 2.4 band will be useless if you have a cordless house phone anywhere near the router.
