  • Úlfur Eldjárn is an Icelandic composer and multi-instrumentalist, who uses an innovative approach to create music for film, TV, and theatre and his own compositional projects. He often works with interactive technology to create new musical experiences, such as the location based composition Reykjavík GPS. Úlfur is also a member of the Icelandic electronic group, Apparat Organ Quartet.
Úlfur uses Wave to create an augmented saxophone sound. Using the live signal from the saxophone as the only sound source he creates a dramatic soundscape with real-time processing and resampling all controlled by the ring. Wave is hooked up to Ableton Live, controlling the parameters of Max4Live devices and various other plugins. The devices used include Max4Live Granular by Robert Henke, Ableton’s Creative Extensions pack, Primal Tap from Sound Toys and Valhalla Reverb, and Wave’s movements are connected to parameters such as analog delay feedback, pitch, effect send volume, sample file position and grain size.

I would think wearing it on the foot would make more sense for instrument players who need both hands. Ideal for singers and others!!!
