Ok this was a great setup for this particular car, but I was wondering using your idea as a template and with the old windshield in place but cut out setting it up that way and then removing it so the measurement would be a fit in place for new windshield . Thinking before I spend any money on a device like this. You made it look easy and really not time consuming in setup as well. Thanks.
Car Mo that's pretty much how I would do it using that tool at first. Cut out the windshield, leave it in place, set up the tool and remove and install the old glass a couple times until you get the position of each suction cup just right. Transfer cups to new glass and you should be good to go. I'm assuming (just like any tool) that once you do a few vehicles and get a good feel with it, that probably wouldn't be necessary. I'm about to use the Lil Buddy for the first time tonight so wish me luck.
NEW Auto Glass so when you use your hand for the measurement . Your pinky would be at the pinchweld (roughly top of the glass) . But your thumb is unclear. Is the arm that is mounted on the door glass swung at 90° and your thumb is under that? Basically im asking what are you using as a reference point for the spot where your thumb is.(hopefully i made that clear).again thanks for the info.im a fellow nj glass guy.
it is 90 or close to 90 Degrees .if you have it lower than 90 arm that on the windshield is going to hit elbow that turns on the piece on the door . ill make a video about
How do you go about getting into windshield business besides getting all the tools. Do you have to have any licenses or talk to any insurance companies?

Good info. Ive talked to kent(lilbuddie) maker. He made it more confusing when i was tryin to setup for a new transit.

no it would probably require few dry sets first .to set it in right position
Why not just dry set it first
Sometimes i have lime iside on the car and that make me worst every car is different
