Thanks a lot man. Wish the materials on the site were this explanatory. Very nice walk through 🙌

You’re welcome Tyler! Sometimes I think manufacturers are in cahoots with installers. Which would explain the lack of clear concise instructions. 😂

Thanks, Marcus. You answered a ton of questions I had about the 1Up on the B2. Awesome job!!

Thanks Marcus, I am adding the 1up on my 2017 sprinter with a owl setup just like your so your video helped. Hope you are enjoying the journey

Very cool. It’s a nice setup. Just remember to pack a stool. Even if you’re taller it makes it a little more comfy to put bikes up and down.

Great walkthrough. What size ladder (height and rungs) and possibly brand/model are you using? I am same height as you, so based on your experience I may need one too (am 71 yrs) Also, where do you stow the ladder? Trying to keep garage space optimal so I wonder if the roof would be and option but that would beg questions on fastening. Again, thanks!

Super helpful thank you. Did you ever install the rotopax behind? Did it fit?

The velcro is a good idea. I would have used part of a mtn bike tire tube and slid it on. May I ask why you didn't want the bikes on the inside of your van? Now that it is November, how has the rack and bikes held up? Do you have to carry the ladder with you?

Hi Donal. The limited room on the inside and plenty room outside was my driving force. I actually do not have this revel anymore. I’m working on building a sprinter van from the ground up.
The ladder you would have to carry. I think it’s the safer option even if you’re taller.

Just ordered 1up from Owl Vans to put on B2 carrier. Watching your video and finding it very helpful. Note that you owned it for some time do you have any additional considerations that you could share? Also bikes seemed to be very bouncy on the rack. Have you noticed a lot of vibration on the road?

Hi! Glad you found this useful. I wanna say I think they are making pretty cool items that are structurally sound. My issue was hopefully isolated and it was resolved.
Racks usually have some bounce and movement in them. I have Thule right now on another vehicle and I liked my 1UP better. Seemed fairly sturdy and I never worried they may fly off.

@@iAmMarchal Thanks! Is your backup camera still useable with bikes up or do I need to get a new one where I can find a better point of view? Maybe putting it on the bumper?

@@Дмитро-х2г It’s usable. Of course bikes in the way so not an unobstructed view. But enough to be better than nothing :). I personally never felt like the world was ending with the bikes up and using the camera.
