Kaioken has always been my favourite power up. The red aura is just so powerful-looking, and it can be useful in ALL his future forms after he learned it, even enhancing them
@@JSun3000 SSJ3 is cool, sure. UI is just meh as it kinda just solves any kind of problem up to now. I think its mostly the red aura of Kaioken and its ""get it done before I explode" mentality of its use that make it my favourite. UI is more "well this fights over" where as Kaioken is "I hope this is enough to enable me to get the win"

The reason why I love the Saiyan sage and Frieza saga and the moviee before super 13 over cell and after is because of the Kaio-Ken, and I liked it better when Goku was pushed into transforming after the Kaio-Ken didn't work

I’ve always understood that Super Kaioken can only be used when Goku is dead because the rage power of SSJ would cause Kaioken to go out of control and kill him, so no I do not think Goku could have utilized Super Kaioken against Cell. Also the reason I think he doesn’t have the effects of Delayed Onset Ki Disorder in fights after Hit with Blue Kaioken is the same reason he didn’t really get wrecked as much using it in base, his body got used to it, plus Goku had a better understanding of SSB like you stated. Which maybe why it wasn't effective against Frieza king Kai stated he was using it the entire time but still couldn't keep up when Frieza went to 50% of his maximum......so basically 50% Frieza was stronger than a Kaio ken fully charged Goku....
I always like to imagine how powerful Majin Buu would be if he could use the Kaioken. With the way his body is built, he could probably just use Kaioken Infinite or something absurd and regenerate.
the difference is that without the evil inside of him his stamina has a limit now as does his energy well upside is he is still a literal tank that could likely use it all day with no issue and turn it off while he slept. so your correct but if he were to get into a long battle like against basil in super while using it buu likely wouldnt be able to keep it going he would of exhausted himself if he tried mostly cause he didnt take the fight seriously but
One of my favorite techniques in the franchise. Also one of the reasons Rock Lee became my favorite character in the Naruto franchise. His 8 Gates were basically Kaio Kens.
Great video Geekdom. It pretty much confirms what I thought. The way I like to think about it is the Kaioken is essentially the equivalent of a supercharger on a muscle car engine or a high-performance propeller airplane engine. When you use it, you get a major performance boost, but you need to be careful because if you overuse it doing so could blow up your engine, much like what happened to Goku‘s body when he first learned the technique from King Kai. Now that his body has become more accustomed to training as we’ve seen in Dragon Ball Super he can use the technique without much worry of drawbacks. Essentially, the “engine” of Goku‘s body has gotten way better which means the Kaioken when used will make Goku‘s performance even better. Make sense?

I think it was more about the sustainability of it and controlling the rage it induces. But overcoming the rage into a calm mind isn't possible in that form. I believe it was explained that going into SS took a huge toll on their body/ stamina in the first place, so staying in the form and learning to deal with/ be comfortable just living in it reduces the impact, thus giving more usable energy/ stamina

Before super, I've always wondered why goku stopped using kaioken. But I've realized that combining kaioken with ssj, ssj2, and ssj3 will put a huge strain on his body, probably kill goku if goku doesn't know what he's doing
Would've been something if Perfect Cell used the Kaio-Ken considering Imperfect Cell told Kamiccolo, Trunks & Krillin that he was capable of using the technique (or was it the Spirit Bomb...I forget) in Gingertown. I wonder if Gohan still would've been able to defeat him then...
Sounds like Kaio-ken was responsible for a lot of Goku’s growth before he became a super saiyan, King Kai underestimated how much the damage of high multipliers would play into Goku’s Saiyan biology.
5:25- which makes sense for several reasons- 1) it's hard to tell the difference between a regular Ki powerup and Kaioken in the manga while Super Saiyan is a more apparent change, 2) there's only so many times you can escalate the Kaioken and have the same investigate impact- it can become stagnant- reducing the urgency of the move, which is why SSJ became more relevant as it is a transformation that is more accessible but also show power when it's not reduced to a gag, and 3) it is no longer narratively important as it would undermine Freeza if he was defeated by Goku doing what he did in the last saga and it wouldn't have led to the cathartic payoff of Super Saiyan.
This technique and super saiyan 3 have to be my top favorite ever behind ranking my personal favorite characters. I love everything about this technique that it can be so powerful but is also a double edge sword technique to use so badass!
I think it was explained at some point somewhere? Maybe it's just headcanon. But Nobody else really has the ability to sustain it and manage the damage to their body. Maybe Tien, but it would probably tear Krillin and Yamcha to shreds, Vegeta is too angry, and Piccolo almost always refuses outside help. Even when he was with King Kai, he spent most of his time just floating around meditating. I was always more annoyed that they never asked the dragon for a power boost. I was so happy when Piccolo finally did in Super Hero and the explanation actually works. The orange piccolo is a bit odd, but the Dragon, being a Namekian creation, giving a boost just makes sense in the same way that the Elder did to Gohan
About the “Super Kaioken” part. I’d like to add that during the Cell Games arc, Goku and Gohan were training their SS1 states to be used at any state to the point they’re relaxed in equivalence to their “base forms”. (The moment when both of them stepped out the HBTC in there SS1 forms yet everyone felt they were much “calmer” to the point they cant even sense their Ki, stated by Vegeta) In a way, this concept was the precursor to GT’s “Goku’s SS3 strength while in base form” and DBS’s “The power of a SSGSS in Goku’s base form” before the concept was seemingly dropped altogether going into the Buu saga lol (since apparently no Saiyan just walks around in SS1 all casually anymore and still just goes back to being normal “black / purple haired. Doesn’t seem any other Saiyan followed through Goku’s method of breaking the SS1 barier despite it leading to better results). It at least seemed they didnt need to tap into stress and anger to keep the form anymore and seemed more in tune. Going by this, Goku going “Super Kaioken” may have been more plausible than previously thought. Anyway this was a great watch. Ive been needing my DB fix and im glad you’re here to provide them haha
correction to what vegeta states he says they look like super saiyan but i dont sense the energy for it, implying that he could sense their ki but not the amount that would of been needed to be a super saiyan at that point in time. small correction but i do agree with you to an extent, goku likely tried to use it while in the grade 4 form in the chamber and figured out if he tried to use anything higher than the base power-up for kai-o ken would kill him due to the influx of his energy which was something that he wouldnt be able to over come til he gained god ki and learned about proper ki control, as he explains when he first uses the move again ontop of blue.

I want to know what would Perfect Cell be like with Kio-ken? Like Cell has Goku's cells so he can do everything that Goku can do, at least up to that time, and even in the Kai dub Imperfect Cell mentions that he can use Kio-ken to Spirit Bomb, anyway, you mentioned that Kio-ken will break down Goku's cells and that he would damage his body in some way if he can't rest and recover to heal his body with new cells, but Cell has Piccolo's cells, so he can regenerate like Piccolo, and even better than Piccolo, like that time when Goku used the instant transmission Kamehameha on Perfect Cell, and Perfect Cell was able to regenerate from that like his whole head, and things like that, which Piccolo said in the Buu Saga that he can regenerate if his head stays intact, so Perfect Cell has better regeneration than Piccolo and the other Namekians, I'm guessing, but anyway, if Perfect Cell can use the Kio-Ken can he use it way better than Goku or anyone else, with his powerful regeneration that he can heal himself *while* using Kio-ken so he can use it maybe forever, or at least a great while longer than anyone else, or would Perfect Cell not be able to really use Kio-ken? Why the long story that no one is really gonna read, just ask can cell use the Kaio ken ?? Most likely no because the Kaio ken requires training and the body and mind being in sync.....cell is not capable of that because of his arrogance and belief that he's already perfect above everyone else....
I figured being dead was what let Super Kaioken work in that arc (though that implies Goku lost "full power" and the calm it has). If Goku tried it against Cell, it could have worked in a burst, but more likely he'd royally wreck himself. And was Piccolo and co. at King Kai's even manga canon?
Man despite that Goku has pushed himself to some many levels and being hitting godly powers to ultra instinct , I still loved the kaioken dearly even long before Goku was a regular golden haired Super Sayian , the kaioken was definitely the shit , Goku always went beast mode when he felt like he really needed to use it if necessary
Kaioken is my favorite transformation or technique in the whole franchise and I won't argue that Kaioken is the most potentially powerful techniques transformation in the whole franchise due to the fact that the multiplier infinite only based upon how much stress one's body can take so for example if an angel or Destroyer uses the technique it would automatically be the strongest technique/transformation in the franchise
And okay to answer your question do I believe that super Kaioken would have beaten cell no I believe that is Goku used normal Kaioken and trained his body in the hyperbolic Time Chamber at that time for the stress and stamina for a stable Kaioken X 200 or more with higher burst multipliers for Kai blasts is possible cuz we seen him do a 100 times Kaioken before the Frieza Saga while he was fighting slug and the fact is mixing the Kaioken with Super Saiyan what would really kills already taxed stamina not the Kaioken itself because Goku in such Mastery of it would be able to turn it on and off in the blink of an eye it wouldn't even be visible you would only feel it in percussion waves and you have to remember this also Super Saiyan it's only a 40 times multiplier so if Goku his base is using a Kaioken X 200 stably he would shop the Super Saiyan form and arrival Super Saiyan 2 without having to worry about his stamina issue because when he uses Kaioken stabili as you seen during the Napa fight or with the Ginyu Force it doesn't affect Goku stamina in fact he's all happy and excited about those fights so super Kaioken no regular Kaioken X 200 stable yes
Base Kiaoken is a .5 multiplier… It’s weird but that’s how the numbers always worked out based off earlier power level charts. Base Goku in Saiyan was 8000 Kaio Ken made it 12000 Kaio Ken x2 increases it to 16000 So if you notice, even with x2, he is still under Vegeta’a 18000 power level. So, an x3 would put him to 24000. Which matches up with Scouter numbers Bulma shows before it blows up.
I feel like Piccolo would've made a lot of sense for learning Kaioken. Not only because it would make him more relevant to fights, but I get the feeling Namekians could handle it since they can regenerate damage. At the very least, he should be able to easily do x10, given how much stronger he is than Goku on Namek.
It's probably safe to say that the other Z fighters know how to use kaioken just their body can't handle the physical consequences that comes with it. Picolo would be interesting with his regenerative abilities tho.
My head canon is that Kaioken is derived from Ultra Ego. Both of them operate in a similar way except the Kaioken has the flaw of not making you stronger with damage taken.
Kaioken blue coulda been used in the manga against Jiren even without the aura since in the original kaioken video you stated the red tint disappeared after Goku mastered it
If I remember correctly, Goku wasn't able to sustain Super Kaio-ken for more than 10 seconds in the Other World Tournament. Amd that was with his DEAD body, which is supposed to be more sturdy and have a near infinite ki supply (bearing in mind that Goku could only use SSJ3 at its full potential when he was DEAD)...
Kaioken is one of my top fav moves for Goku. It was so awesome when they brough it back in the DBS anime. Imo if Goku was to pull off even kaioken x4 on top of ssj against Cell, i beleive he'd win if he pulled off a instant kamehameha. Ssj2 is 2x ssj1, so i think all hed need would be an instant to win it.
Loved when Goku used it when he used it against hit in super. Having the red and blue together was pretty dope. Maybe wrong but is super Saiyan as 50x multiplier would it be equivalent to a kaioken x50. Could be wrong but figure it’s why it was phased out as SS is the equivalent to 50x without the strain on the body.
Yes, in terms of a power increase, regular Super Saiyan and Kaiō-Ken x50 are equivalent, but Super Saiyan increases the Saiyan's power by unlocking a portion of their potential, while Kaiō-Ken increases the user's power by amplifying the _ki_ he/she is already using.

It makes sense why goku was able to achieve super saiyan first. Though vegeta from his first meeting with goku was stronger, goku always pushed past his limits. By the frieza saga he already passed vegeta in power due to raw training. Krillins death was clearly the trigger but he would’ve achieved it regardless by just pushing his body similar to the ways kaioken does. I feel learning this technique allowed him to be to evolve past his limitations. Super saiyan is activated through emotions not really just being strong take broly for example, but i feel kaioken could’ve played a factor.
I think a grade 4 super saiyan. Maybe able to mix with kioken Just look at super saiyan blue.. With goku using A calm mind and all.. The concept of it doesn't seem far fetch. All the ingredients are there.... I don't think he could have stood up against cell.
The way I’ve always explained it was Kaioken was double your power. Kaioken x2 =quad power. Kaioken x3 =6xpower. So kaioken x10 is really your power x 20
piccollo with the kai- ken would be crazy overpowered. I mean with a kaio-ken he could demolish second form and third form frezia. He could also destroy 17 post kami fusion.
The cell goku fought and the cell gohan fought are at 2 different levels. That makes it more likely that goku could’ve killed cell with a kaioken boost. I’d like to add that goku and gohan trained the ssj form to be like their base form which would’ve helped keep the kaioken from killing him at least
I 100% believe that the power of Kiao Ken plus Super Saiyan would have been enough for Cell. I feel fine about him being beaten so easily because Paikon was almost on SS2 level to me and cell couldn’t beat Gohan so an almost SS2 Level Goku with all the bonuses would have been able to fight Paikon
Super Kaoken makes anything high diff, and it’s no substitute for a legit power level unless you’re already close , which Goku and Cell at the time we’re not.
Regarding the super kaioken transformation, theoretically… if goku would have activated the kaioken during super saiyan and then deactivated both forms right before the combination killed him, wouldn’t his ability to receive zenkai boosts allow him to withstand the combined form for prolonged periods of time afterwards? I know its a bit of a gamble for him to do that (more of a vegeta move) but it should work no?
With the clamness and control that comes with SSJG, I think Goku would have been able to reach even higher power multipliers in that form. Perhaps Kaioken x1000 with time and training. I like to think that pushing his power level higher and higher in the SSJG form would allow him to unlock more powerful forms, like SSJ3 & 4, but with the red hair/fur. They could've still moved onto blue after fulling exploring SSJG. Feels like a missed opportunity.

The Kaio Ken a good example of a technique with strengths and weaknesses.
It was a simple but effective boost in power. But dangerous if used incorrectly. I actually based my main character’s super form off of the Kaioken.

The Kaioken only last about 10 to 30 seconds people often forget that fact. It wouldnt be a good mix for a long battle only as a finisher

Before super, I've always wondered why goku stopped using kaioken. But I've realized that combining kaioken with ssj, ssj2, and ssj3 will put a huge strain on his body, probably kill goku if goku doesn't know what he's doing

Sounds like Kaio-ken was responsible for a lot of Goku’s growth before he became a super saiyan, King Kai underestimated how much the damage of high multipliers would play into Goku’s Saiyan biology.
5:25- which makes sense for several reasons- 1) it's hard to tell the difference between a regular Ki powerup and Kaioken in the manga while Super Saiyan is a more apparent change, 2) there's only so many times you can escalate the Kaioken and have the same investigate impact- it can become stagnant- reducing the urgency of the move, which is why SSJ became more relevant as it is a transformation that is more accessible but also show power when it's not reduced to a gag, and 3) it is no longer narratively important as it would undermine Freeza if he was defeated by Goku doing what he did in the last saga and it wouldn't have led to the cathartic payoff of Super Saiyan.
This technique and super saiyan 3 have to be my top favorite ever behind ranking my personal favorite characters. I love everything about this technique that it can be so powerful but is also a double edge sword technique to use so badass!
Honestly I still feel like it was dumb for both Goku and King Kai to not teach the others kaioken it would've been so helpful for them numerous times.

But Nobody else really has the ability to sustain it and manage the damage to their body. Maybe Tien, but it would probably tear Krillin and Yamcha to shreds, Vegeta is too angry, and Piccolo almost always refuses outside help. Even when he was with King Kai, he spent most of his time just floating around meditating.
I was always more annoyed that they never asked the dragon for a power boost. I was so happy when Piccolo finally did in Super Hero and the explanation actually works. The orange piccolo is a bit odd, but the Dragon, being a Namekian creation, giving a boost just makes sense in the same way that the Elder did to Gohan

About the “Super Kaioken” part. I’d like to add that during the Cell Games arc, Goku and Gohan were training their SS1 states to be used at any state to the point they’re relaxed in equivalence to their “base forms”. (The moment when both of them stepped out the HBTC in there SS1 forms yet everyone felt they were much “calmer” to the point they cant even sense their Ki, stated by Vegeta)
In a way, this concept was the precursor to GT’s “Goku’s SS3 strength while in base form” and DBS’s “The power of a SSGSS in Goku’s base form” before the concept was seemingly dropped altogether going into the Buu saga lol (since apparently no Saiyan just walks around in SS1 all casually anymore and still just goes back to being normal “black / purple haired. Doesn’t seem any other Saiyan followed through Goku’s method of breaking the SS1 barier despite it leading to better results). It at least seemed they didnt need to tap into stress and anger to keep the form anymore and seemed more in tune.
Going by this, Goku going “Super Kaioken” may have been more plausible than previously thought.

correction to what vegeta states he says they look like super saiyan but i dont sense the energy for it, implying that he could sense their ki but not the amount that would of been needed to be a super saiyan at that point in time. small correction but i do agree with you to an extent, goku likely tried to use it while in the grade 4 form in the chamber and figured out if he tried to use anything higher than the base power-up for kai-o ken would kill him due to the influx of his energy which was something that he wouldnt be able to over come til he gained god ki and learned about proper ki control, as he explains when he first uses the move again ontop of blue.
Kiaoken is the goat and no matter how nostalgic the original super saiyan is I’ll always be sad this technique was dropped.

I want to know what would Perfect Cell be like with Kio-ken? Like Cell has Goku's cells so he can do everything that Goku can do, at least up to that time, and even in the Kai dub Imperfect Cell mentions that he can use Kio-ken to Spirit Bomb, anyway, you mentioned that Kio-ken will break down Goku's cells and that he would damage his body in some way if he can't rest and recover to heal his body with new cells, but Cell has Piccolo's cells, so he can regenerate like Piccolo, and even better than Piccolo, like that time when Goku used the instant transmission Kamehameha on Perfect Cell, and Perfect Cell was able to regenerate from that like his whole head, and things like that, which Piccolo said in the Buu Saga that he can regenerate if his head stays intact, so Perfect Cell has better regeneration than Piccolo and the other Namekians, I'm guessing, but anyway, if Perfect Cell can use the Kio-Ken can he use it way better than Goku or anyone else, with his powerful regeneration that he can heal himself *while* using Kio-ken so he can use it maybe forever, or at least a great while longer than anyone else, or would Perfect Cell not be able to really use Kio-ken? Like Imperfect Cell said that he *can* use the Kio-ken, but as in you Cell videos, and in the anime itself, Perfect Cell has personalities in line with like Frieza and Vegeta, just the cockiness, and arrogance, which you mentioned that Perfect Cell is probably more so cocky and arrogant than Frieza, so if he is like that, would it be difficult for him to actually aline his mind, body, and spirit to actually, or I should rather say properly, access Kio-ken? Why the long story that no one is really gonna read, just ask can cell use the Kaio ken ?? Most likely no because the Kaio ken requires training and the body and mind being in sync.....cell is not capable of that because of his arrogance and belief that he's already perfect above everyone else....
Kaioken's risk-reward is so good it had to be milked by every other "powerful" ability in anime (including SSJ Grades and 3)

Man despite that Goku has pushed himself to some many levels and being hitting godly powers to ultra instinct , I still loved the kaioken dearly even long before Goku was a regular golden haired Super Sayian , the kaioken was definitely the shit , Goku always went beast mode when he felt like he really needed to use it if necessary

Kaioken is my favorite transformation or technique in the whole franchise and I won't argue that Kaioken is the most potentially powerful techniques transformation in the whole franchise due to the fact that the multiplier infinite only based upon how much stress one's body can take so for example if an angel or Destroyer uses the technique it would automatically be the strongest technique/transformation in the franchise
And okay to answer your question do I believe that super Kaioken would have beaten cell no I believe that is Goku used normal Kaioken and trained his body in the hyperbolic Time Chamber at that time for the stress and stamina for a stable Kaioken X 200 or more with higher burst multipliers for Kai blasts is possible cuz we seen him do a 100 times Kaioken before the Frieza Saga while he was fighting slug and the fact is mixing the Kaioken with Super Saiyan what would really kills already taxed stamina not the Kaioken itself because Goku in such Mastery of it would be able to turn it on and off in the blink of an eye it wouldn't even be visible you would only feel it in percussion waves and you have to remember this also Super Saiyan it's only a 40 times multiplier so if Goku his base is using a Kaioken X 200 stably he would shop the Super Saiyan form and arrival Super Saiyan 2 without having to worry about his stamina issue because when he uses Kaioken stabili as you seen during the Napa fight or with the Ginyu Force it doesn't affect Goku stamina in fact he's all happy and excited about those fights so super Kaioken no regular Kaioken X 200 stable yes

Base Kiaoken is a .5 multiplier…
It’s weird but that’s how the numbers always worked out based off earlier power level charts.
Base Goku in Saiyan was 8000
Kaio Ken made it 12000
Kaio Ken x2 increases it to 16000
So if you notice, even with x2, he is still under Vegeta’a 18000 power level.
So, an x3 would put him to 24000. Which matches up with Scouter numbers Bulma shows before it blows up.
I feel like Piccolo would've made a lot of sense for learning Kaioken. Not only because it would make him more relevant to fights, but I get the feeling Namekians could handle it since they can regenerate damage. At the very least, he should be able to easily do x10, given how much stronger he is than Goku on Namek.
My favorite was when Goku learned how to put the Kaio ken overtop of Super SAIYAN

It's probably safe to say that the other Z fighters know how to use kaioken just their body can't handle the physical consequences that comes with it. Picolo would be interesting with his regenerative abilities tho.
My head canon is that Kaioken is derived from Ultra Ego. Both of them operate in a similar way except the Kaioken has the flaw of not making you stronger with damage taken.
Kaioken blue coulda been used in the manga against Jiren even without the aura since in the original kaioken video you stated the red tint disappeared after Goku mastered it

Amd that was with his DEAD body, which is supposed to be more sturdy and have a near infinite ki supply (bearing in mind that Goku could only use SSJ3 at its full potential when he was DEAD)...
Kaioken is one of my top fav moves for Goku. It was so awesome when they brough it back in the DBS anime.
Imo if Goku was to pull off even kaioken x4 on top of ssj against Cell, i beleive he'd win if he pulled off a instant kamehameha.

Loved when Goku used it when he used it against hit in super. Having the red and blue together was pretty dope. Maybe wrong but is super Saiyan as 50x multiplier would it be equivalent to a kaioken x50. Could be wrong but figure it’s why it was phased out as SS is the equivalent to 50x without the strain on the body.
Yes, in terms of a power increase, regular Super Saiyan and Kaiō-Ken x50 are equivalent, but Super Saiyan increases the Saiyan's power by unlocking a portion of their potential, while Kaiō-Ken increases the user's power by amplifying the _ki_ he/she is already using.
@@DarthKamui makes sense always appeared SS didn’t strain the user while even a few time Kaioken severely drained Goku. Won’t lie as a kid watching him hit it and fight Vegeta is one of my favorite parts of DBZ. He’s strong but not fracture the universe strong yet.

It makes sense why goku was able to achieve super saiyan first. Though vegeta from his first meeting with goku was stronger, goku always pushed past his limits. By the frieza saga he already passed vegeta in power due to raw training. Krillins death was clearly the trigger but he would’ve achieved it regardless by just pushing his body similar to the ways kaioken does. I feel learning this technique allowed him to be to evolve past his limitations. Super saiyan is activated through emotions not really just being strong take broly for example, but i feel kaioken could’ve played a factor.
I think a grade 4 super saiyan. Maybe able to mix with kioken Just look at super saiyan blue.. With goku using A calm mind and all.. The concept of it doesn't seem far fetch. All the ingredients are there.... I don't think he could have stood up against cell.
The way I’ve always explained it was Kaioken was double your power. Kaioken x2 =quad power. Kaioken x3 =6xpower. So kaioken x10 is really your power x 20
piccollo with the kai- ken would be crazy overpowered. I mean with a kaio-ken he could demolish second form and third form frezia. He could also destroy 17 post kami fusion.

The cell goku fought and the cell gohan fought are at 2 different levels. That makes it more likely that goku could’ve killed cell with a kaioken boost. I’d like to add that goku and gohan trained the ssj form to be like their base form which would’ve helped keep the kaioken from killing him at least
I 100% believe that the power of Kiao Ken plus Super Saiyan would have been enough for Cell. I feel fine about him being beaten so easily because Paikon was almost on SS2 level to me and cell couldn’t beat Gohan so an almost SS2 Level Goku with all the bonuses would have been able to fight Paikon

Super Kaoken makes anything high diff, and it’s no substitute for a legit power level unless you’re already close , which Goku and Cell at the time we’re not.
Regarding the super kaioken transformation, theoretically… if goku would have activated the kaioken during super saiyan and then deactivated both forms right before the combination killed him, wouldn’t his ability to receive zenkai boosts allow him to withstand the combined form for prolonged periods of time afterwards? I know its a bit of a gamble for him to do that (more of a vegeta move) but it should work no?
With the clamness and control that comes with SSJG, I think Goku would have been able to reach even higher power multipliers in that form. Perhaps Kaioken x1000 with time and training. I like to think that pushing his power level higher and higher in the SSJG form would allow him to unlock more powerful forms, like SSJ3 & 4, but with the red hair/fur. They could've still moved onto blue after fulling exploring SSJG. Feels like a missed opportunity.
What if normal kaioken is x1.5 and thus kaioken x2 is a slight of + x0.5.
