Damn bro you are genius. My tank also have Dwarf Hair Grass but they are melting currently eventually i have put co2 diffuser in it. When i ask about that in some groups, they said i need good lighting, big filter, media, co2, fert. But u have made with at least none of them. U created a real nature out of nature. Big respect bro from Myanmar.

The key for hairgrass is nutrient rich substrate with finest size as possible. They depend on their roots for nutrient uptake, but their roots are delicate.

Sorry, but it seems I can't make video of the update of this tank. I did filming this tank development, but there's some non technical issue involved and I can't use the video of this tank development. I can't rewind the time as well so yeah, no video update. The tank itself are running very well, may be just the pict development like in the community tab.

It’s videos like these that make me thing I can have success. Then I watch others say water change 50% every other day for three weeks, and then twice a week, or some say 80% water change. Some say 20%. Add this chemical add that one. It really can be overwhelming. But I like this approach of just maintenance while it sorts itself out.

I'm still a beginner after jumping down the rabbit hole 2 years ago! Interesting pointers here that I haven't tried. Skimming off the surface and adjusting the lighting with some tape are a couple. Your 13 hours with a 3 hour break to replenish is could be my solution. I wish one of the guys aty LFS mentioned things you pointed out. I will make sure to update my comment after implementing the tips you suggest. New subbie for sure!

Detritus worm is normal. Critters population in our tank can be indicator of our ecosystem health. If we have too many, we add something too much, but during the cycling, we purposely add too much so it's normal.

-dont buy driftwood just go to the river and collect it
-substrate: potting soil capped with sand from the river.
-just use a regular desk lamp with 3€ 17w led bulb in it. no need for special aquarium lights
-lots of plants and only a few fish so no filter is needed

pak apakah proses nya seperti itu terus? hanya seperti yg anda contohkan bersihkan permukaan air, tambah air yg menguap, triming, dan bersihkan kaca yg lumutan. apakah pupuk cair tidak diperlukan untuk kedepannya?
      terima kasih

    • @CoretanIjo
      @CoretanIjo  ปีที่แล้ว +1

Setting it up for a week is easy but maintaining for longer than a week is difficult.

Thank you for this video, and for all the replies in the comments. They are both very useful. Is there anything I need to know if I'm doing this in a bigger tank? It's 450l. Anything different?

The lighting will be more tricky in a tall tank because the upper part can have high intensity while the lower part will have low intensity. Other than that, it's actually easier in bigger tank.

@@CoretanIjo ok I'll bear that in mind, thank you very much.
My tank is about 60cm deep. I was thinking of starting with Vallysneria, Cryptocorynes, and carpeting with Monte Carlo and Dwarf Hair Grass, with duck weed to soak up excess nutrients.
      Wish me luck!
