    Hi Meat head, I received two stickers today when I hit home from work 😍👏👏👏
    Thank you very much all the way from Aus.
    Love you fun videos and cranky humour. Right up my street, I’ve got the Pard + not the LRF as I already have a similar range finder.
    I’ve mounted it on my RTI Prophet .22 FAC high power. I’ve not long had them both ! So still toying with the settings.
    Cheers Brother shooter. 👍🍺

    Cane toads aye... I lived outside of Billoella for a number of years (I'm from the PNW US) on the Kroombit Tops Lochenbar Station. SOOO many Cane toads I couldn't believe it. We did much the same kind of eradication running 22LR rifles.

    I love my ATN 4K + ABL. Great combination. Being in the UK I am stuck to 12ft/lbs, so very slow speeds compared to yours, but the ATN helps me push the range out much further than I would be comfortable with normally, but it’s is always spot on.

    Another informative video mate, You need to remount the ABL back on the scope more as I did with miner. This makes the balance so much nicer. I also received the stickers the other day so thanks for that. I hope to get a video out sometime this week depending of how my ankle feels after surgery.

    MM,
    Nice shooting, even better information. I have been toying with the idea of the ABL for my 4k Pro esp for ratting as that distance can change enough in a short time to miss or worse yet wound one. From your impressions and video I can see that an ABL will do the trick. May even work up a profile for my super 308 Texan for use with coy dogs, fox, skunk, and coon. Wind always a determining factor but easier with the elevation part secured. I cannot shoot the .25 hybrids in my Armada as they jam in the receiver....wish they did not as it is uncanny accurate, esp after I had it regulated. Shooting JSB Kings (850 fps) at yellow jacket wasps from 48 yards (target site) with it. Always enjoy your content and shenanigans keep them coming pard I have learned a lot !

    you might find @50m max you get better performance with the Hades at high speed as they will expand and be a lot cheaper. ATN though is an amazing bit of kit almost takes the fun out of it 😂

    Brilliant setup, same as mine except I use .22 and 25 grain slugs. Hope you don’t bash the abl on anything, that’s how scopes get broken. Look into getting the abl relocation 3D printed ones to get abl just in front of your front scope ring 👍. I’ve also shimmed my abl so that the laser splash is exactly where my crosshairs are 👍 it’s easy to do with a bit of tin or insulation tape 😉. I also think the abl looks and works better with it at the top of scope. More balanced and a horizontal splash makes for a more accurate reading 👍. It’s best to set abl splash up in the dark.

    This scope better be the ducks guts. I am going to buy one for my M3 night shooting on your gob full of wisdom. I just love the idea of it knowing where to move the cross-hair too for the distance. You know how many shots I miss guesstimating the distance at night with my old trusty Photon XT? Not many but only because I don't shot that far out with it. Just check the price I missed the free ABL1500 with every scope for the month of August by a few days just my luck. That's Frog shit not off to a good start hey.

    if your hampered by the stupid suppresser law why not have a barrel protective sleeve, i think they are called a barrel anti scratch and dent protective device called a shroud, i believe, the little beauties have been known as a bonus to quieten down the irritating escaping air noise causing air noise pollution,

    • @meatheadmarksman2013
      @meatheadmarksman2013  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      still super illegal here haha the only "legally safe" way is to have a longer barrel here, im all for re naming things but the risk the local judge would disagree is too high haha

    • @meatheadmarksman2013
      @meatheadmarksman2013  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      yeah you cant be lazy when shooting low speed off a cheap tripod at a small target, you have to lean into it to take the slack out of the tripod, make sure the range is 100% accurate, level out the scope cant, be very careful with the trigger etc etc. miss one step, miss the target.

    Really enjoying your vids mate. You mentioned 50 meters being as far as you want to shoot toads but it's that a limitation on the scope or the Impact? I want a similar set up but was hoping to knock off foxes at about 100m. I have centre fires but want something quiet. Cheers

    • @meatheadmarksman2013
      @meatheadmarksman2013  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      its a limitation on the tune of the impact, if I wind it up to setting b ( 900fps+) on the hammer spring wheel I'm very happy to shoot past 50m at bigger stuff like the fox. Its just not the best idea to be shooting a low power setting at a harder target further out. My impact shooting hybrids at 900fps is noticeably quieter then a subsonic 22 so if you are after a quiet accurate gun the impact with a 700mm barrel is a good choice

      @@meatheadmarksman2013 Mate thanks for the info. I took the 22 out and fired some subsonics just to get a rough idea how loud it might be, and if it is even clos to that noise level it will be fantastic, thanks again for the vids and the reply
