    Hey Lukasz, seeing today’s episode, I was wondering if you could make an update video on how you edit your images. I know you don’t like making tutorials on that topic, but I think people would definitely appreciate it. I find that you have beautiful colors in your images-of course, this always depends on your camera and environment-, especially the skin tones I struggle with most. And I don’t expect any editing secrets since there are non, but I think it would help to see your flow.
    Btw. I appreciate the acrobatic capturing skills on Axel’s side, really keeps the viewer captivated besides the thrilling content. Keep it up!

    • @EYExplore
      @EYExplore  ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Axel really keeps the angles fresh! You know, I might make one. I feel my editing flow hasn't changed much but that could just be since I don't notice the gradual evolution. So a fresh video on the topic might be warranted. :)

    Good review of this lens. I usually watch your videos when they first come out and I didn’t because I thought this might be an old video or one with the Nikon Z 50, but then I realized there’s a new Yongnuo 50mm. I’ve never had this brand before but it’s nice to see other more third party choices at great price points for those of us not making a living with photography and are just hobbyists. Can’t wait till the next video 👍🏻👍🏻

    Hi Lukasz! I just found your channel after deciding to get my z6ii. I know this is a bit late from a 4-month-old video, but I want to say that your video is very helpful for providing an IRL perspective of low-light photography. Also, I lived in Japan for a month and my place was at Takadanobaba, so this video is super nostalgic for me.

    I don't have any in-depth comment to make tonight. Just wanting to show support and say awesome video. I always had a love/hate relationship with the 50mm focal length. I love it for a lot of things, but then again I also shoot a lot of architecture (documenting space?) shots which then I always wish I had brought a smaller lens with me haha.

    • @EYExplore
      @EYExplore  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Glad to hear that! I think in general it might be easier and cheaper to produce great optics for the Z mount because it requires fewer corrective lens elements. I say that because I've seen so many great lenses and good price points for this mount.

    Good video. One thing I would suggest is varying the height/angle that you take photos. All the photos you've taken are at eye-level and can be a little bland as a result. Try getting low to the ground. or shoot from higher ground sometimes. Again, not a criticism as enjoy your content, but would definitely keep things more interesting.

    • @robertleeimages
      @robertleeimages ปีที่แล้ว

      He usually does shoot from a lot of different positions, see plenty where he's bending or squatting fully while even leaning to 1 side to get the shot he wants

    • @EYExplore
      @EYExplore  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yeah good call, I do sometimes but didn't really do it in this video. It depends how I feel and what lens I am using. I find I get low when I am using wide angle lenses, like 28mm or wider. :)

      Tokyo is generally clean but there are times it doesn't spell nice... humidity doesn't help.
      People might not realize but most trash collection is basically putting trash bag as-is on designated spot (sometimes just on the sidewalk really).
      It's not uncommon for crow to go though the trash...

      I agree! It was fun to shoot with the 50mm here but basically I prefer 28mm or 40mm at most. These days I'm using the 26mm f/2.8. :)

    • @treharris1677
      @treharris1677 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@EYExplore Right on. Best lens I ever had was the Fuji XQ1 in a 24mm/f1.8. Something like that. I make up for that by shooting 1:1 on a 40mm or 28mm equivalent to 50mm and then hitting FN1 to get 16:9 wider. That tends to simulate the jump from 28/40mm to 50mm well enough.

    I'm sad you aren't using custom buttons Lukasz. I don't use Nikon I have Sony bodies however I would surprised if that Z9 beast wouldn't have very similar custom recall settings like my Sony A7iv.
    I can assign a group of settings to a custom button, eg. ISO, shutter speed, EV, shooting mode, focus mode, aperture etc so if I am was shooting at f2.8 SS 1/125, auto ISO and then "an interesting guy comes through" like at 3:00 in the video, I can press the custom button I saved the custom recall setting (like my AF-ON with my thumb) to instantly have my settings change to say f1.8 1/500 auto ISO continuous shooting so I don't miss the shot. Surely the Z9 does something similar. You paid a lot for that technology my friend, you should use it.

    • @EYExplore
      @EYExplore  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah, I don't find the need for that. This kind of stuff only really happens when I'm shooting these videos because it's actually very difficult to focus on shooting while also narrating coherently. When I'm on my own, it's extremely rare that I am on the wrong setting. I find it already fast enough to just change between M and A, which is all I need to go from fast to slow settings. Of course, if you have a way that works for you, by all means, stick with it. I'm not pushing my way. You should watch my video on fast mode / slow mode for details: th-cam.com/video/20HtSDYsfXo/w-d-xo.html
